Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad and the Kongs racing through the jungle. Luigi sees something and gets nervous.

"Uh... Mario?", Luigi pointed out ahead. Mario turns and sees the road up ahead leads to a ramp.

"Um... No one panic, but the road is about to end.", Mario said. Cranky Kong drives up next to him with a grin.

"Well then, you better step on the gas and buckle up!", Cranky Kong said and laughed. The group then speeds up and rides up to the ramp.

Luigi gulped and he and Mario looked at each other, before they stepped onto the peddle and together they went faster. The Mario brothers screamed, as they caught up with others and soars through the clouds.

They see something bright below them, before landing on the Rainbow Road. Mario and Luigi were surprised and amazed by the rainbow road, as the group landed after them.

"Wahoo!", Mario cheered, hopping his kart up and bringing up his fist. "Yahoo!!", Luigi cheered after.

"This road is amazing! Look at the colors!", Luigi continued. Peach drives up next to Mario.

"Is there anything like this in your world?", Peach asked. "What?", Mario shouted, not hearing what she just said.

"Is there anything like this in your world?!", Peach repeated, shouting back. "No... We don't drive on rainbows.", Mario laughed.

"But it would be fun to race on these roads.", Luigi added. "What are you gonna tell me next? That the turtles aren't evil?", Peach asked.

"No, no. They're usually pets.", Mario said. "And mushrooms are food and apes don't talk. Though the red and white one are poisonous to where we're from.", Luigi added.

"No way!", Peach gasped. "Yeah! Come to Brooklyn, I'll buy you a turtle.", Mario suggested.

"Maybe I will.", Peach giggled with a smile. A honk was heard and Donkey Kong drives up to Mario.

"Dude, is this you flirting? This is painful!", Donkey Kong laughed. "Listen, I was trying to be nice.", Mario defended.

"You are so embarrassing! A princess would never go out with you!", Donkey Kong laughed. Toad drives up to the other side of Mario and glares at the ape.

"Yes, she would! I guarantee she would!", Toad declared. "Yeah! Leave him alone! She has good taste in men with an amazing mustache.", Luigi said, brushing his own mustache.

"Guys! Enough!", Peach laughed. "Alright, alright.", Donkey Kong said, before he and Toad drives back to their spot.

What they didn't know, Bowser is watching them from binoculars. He looks up from the binoculars and growls.

The Koopa army in their own karts watches from a cliff overlooking the Rainbow Road. "Attack!", Koopa ordered.

The Koopa army drives down onto the rainbow road and rams through the Kongs. One of them shoots out a spinning green shell and knocks out a few Kongs.

"It's an ambush!", Peach gasped, seeing them. The Koopa tried to ram over to Mario when Cranky Kong knocked him away with his kart.

"Defensive positions!", Cranky Kong ordered. The Kong shoots out bananas, as the Koopas slip away.

Luigi looks back and gasps to see a giant truck, as it ram past the Kongs towards Mario. It reveals a blue spiked shell Koopa, the Koopa General.

"Mario! You're a dead man!", Koopa General said, laughing maniacally. "Mario! Behind you!!", Luigi screamed.

Mario looked back and back ahead to see two different paths. He turns to the group and his brother.

"Split up!", Mario said. "WHAT?!", Luigi exclaimed.

Mario didn't say anything and drives to the opposite direction with Koopa General following him, as the others drives to the other direction. "Mario!!!", Luigi and Peach called out.

Koopa General attempts to destroy Mario with his chomping truck, as he was getting closer. But thanks to the kart, Mario rockets away from the chomping truck, but the Koopa General kept coming.

He looks down and hops down on another rainbow road. Koopa General then growls at this.

"Ha-ha!", Mario laughed, saluting him. His eyes widened to see the rainbow road is not straight but curled around.

He thought he was gonna fall when the wheels turned into anti-gravity wheels as he drives upside down. Koopa General fires the bullets and Mario quickly jumps off of his kart, as it explodes.

Mario goes flying for a moment, until he landed on the hover bike where the Koopa was driving. The Koopa tried to get him off, but Mario holds on and then climbs up and covers the Koopa's eye, causing him to steer to the side and crash onto the kart of Koopa's.

Mario jumps off and stomps onto the Koopa, causing him to hide in his shell. He holds onto it and takes over the kart.

A Koopa behind him shoots three missiles when Mario dodges them and throws out a shell, causing the Koopa to fly out of his kart and the kart to move crazy until it explodes. "Ha ha!", Mario laughed, wiping his nose under with his thumb.

Meanwhile, Peach is getting ambushed by the two Koopas that attempt to capture her when she kicks one away and hits the other with her motorcycle, but it ended up firing a rocket towards the glaring rock. It falls apart and destroys the rainbow road.

Toad screams, seeing the dead end, and he falls down. "I'm too cute to die!", Toad screamed.

Peach sees him in trouble and pressed the button, making his motorcycle fall down. She then managed to catch Toad before activating a hang glider, as they in the air.

"Woohoo! That is how you princess!", Toad cheered, as he and Peach made it to the other side of the rainbow road.

Mario takes down a few more Koopas that are in front of him and tosses a banana towards one. He heard laughter and looked back to see Koopa General behind him again.

Before he could act, Koopa General had him trapped in the truck's jaws. "Time to die, Mario!", Koopa General said, pulling the lever.

Mario screamed, as the chomper crushed him, or so the Koopa General thought, as he started cackling. Mario somehow managed to climb out of the jaws, before it could crush him as he holds onto the truck.

He looks over to see Donkey Kong and Luigi coming through. He smirked and climbed to the top, surprising Koopa General.

"Huh?", Koopa General asked. Mario jumped onto his head and over to Donkey Kong, as he hitched a ride with him.

"See ya!", Donkey Kong said, launching a barrel rocket. "No!", Koopa General screamed, as his truck exploded.

"Woo-hoo! Ha-ha! Yeah!", Mario and Luigi cheered. "We did it! We made it!!", Luigi cheered.

Mario punched Donkey Kong on the shoulder in a friendly matter, making the ape glare at him. Just as things were getting good, Koopa General walks out of the fire with menacing glare.

"You... can't... escape... ME!", Koopa General yelled out. "What!?", Mario exclaimed in shock.

Koopa General takes off his helmet. "BLUE SHELL!", Koopa General continued.

The Koopa general tucks in his body and flies toward Mario, Donkey Kong, and Luigi's karts. He spins around them and slams straight down, exploding, and shattering the kart and the Rainbow Road beneath them.

Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong plummet, as Peach and Toad escape. "No! No, Mario...", Peach gasped.

The Kongs stop at the broken section of the road. Cranky Kong looks down to his son's fall in horror.

"Ah! No! No...", Cranky Kong gasped. More Koopas arrive in flying Koopa Clown Cars and carry the Kongs toward Bowser's castle.

"Get your clown claws off of me!", Cranky Kong demanded. "Goodbye, Mario and Luigi.", Bowser laughed evilly.

"We have to get home!", Peach said. Peach and Toad continue driving.

As Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong fall, Donkey Kong throws debris at Mario. "Hey! This is your fault!", Donkey Kong yelled out.

"My fault?! You're the one who--", Mario yelled back. "Stop talking! I don't want the last thing I hear before I die to be your--", Luigi yelled out.

Mario, Luigi, and Donkey Kong crash into the ocean. Donkey Kong is knocked unconscious, but Mario and Luigi manages to bring him up to the surface.

A large creature closes its jaws beneath them. "Mario... Luigi... You saved my life.", Donkey Kong said.

"You're welcome.", Luigi smiled. "Yeah, well... I won't tell anyone.", Mario teased.

"Good, please don't.", Donkey Kong said. "Okay...", Mario deadpanned.

Suddenly, they heard a loud rumble like growl beneath them. "Uh... Did you just... Feel something?", Luigi asked nervously.

The creature, an eel-like Maw-Ray, rises up out of the water behind them. The trio screamed and tried to swim away.

"Swim!", Donkey Kong screamed. But it was too late as the Maw-Ray closes its jaws around them.

Elsewhere, Peach and Toad arrive back in the Mushroom Kingdom and race through the town. "Bowser's on his way! You have to evacuate! Hurry! Get out of the city!", Peach ordered before driving away.

The Toad citizens screamed and began to evacuate from their homes. Peach and Toad drove through the moving platform towards her castle and made it into the throne room.

Peach removes her helmet and faces the Toads. "Princess?", Blue Toad General said.

"We lost the army, and Mario's gone.", Peach said, looking down sadly. The Toads gasps in horror.

"Bowser is coming. Head into the forest. I'll buy you some time.", Peach continued. "You heard her! Evacuate the city!", Blue Toad General ordered.

Everyone except Peach and Toad ran out of the castle. "Go with the others.", Peach said.

But Toad stood his ground. "I said I wouldn't let anyone hurt you.", Toad said.

Peach nodded and walked out of the throne room along with Toad. The entire Mushroom Kingdom was full of running, panicked Toads, as they managed to get away.

The purple Toad tried to run, but accidentally dropped his crate full of fruits. He tries to pick up the apples when the red Toad stopped him.

"Just leave it! There's no time!", Red Toad said and he and purple Toad continued running. Peach picks up the halberd that was dropped to the ground next to the helmet and spins it with Toad bringing out his frying pan, as they head out to approach Bowser's castle.

Once all the Toad citizens are evacuated, the dark cloud covers up the bright blue sky, as the floating castle flies by towards the castle Peach and Toad are standing on, as they watch with braveness. As soon as Bowser's castle landed in front of Peach and Toad, the mouth of the castle opens and the Koopa soldiers rush out and surround the two.

Bowser then walks out and grins down at them. "Princess Peach! Brave as ever. As you can see, I have the Super Star.", Bowser said, gesturing to the Super Star behind him, as Kamek teleports next to him.

"If you're going to use it...", Peach glared at Bowser. Peach points her halberd at Bowser, as the surrounding Koopas point theirs at her.

"...Use it now!", Peach continued. Bowser points the tip of the halberd away.

"Actually, I'm not here to use it, I'm here for your crown.", Bowser said. "M-My crown??", Peach questioned, lowering her halberd a bit.

Without a word, Bowser snatches the crown from her head, much to her shock. "Hey!", Peach exclaimed.

"You see, I found someone even better. Princess, I never wanted you to love me from the start, even if I try so hard to get you to like me. I'm in love with someone else who loves me and I'm going to make her my queen.", Bowser stated. "Who?", Peach asked.

"Peaches, meet my new bride: Y/N.", Bowser replied. Coming out of the castle was Y/N, who was confused.

Peach was imminent relieved to see her. "Y/N!", Peach exclaimed.

She ran over and hugged Y/N, surprising her. Y/N smiled and hugged back.

"Peach!", Y/N exclaimed. "I'm so glad you're okay.", Peach said. Y/N looked behind the princess and was relieved to see that Toad was alright.

"Hey, Toad.", Y/N greeted. Toad waved at her.

Y/N looked around. "Where's Mario and Luigi? Are they with you?", Y/N asked.

Peach and Toad gets saddened, as Peach pulled herself away from Y/N. "They're... gone.", Peach replied, sadly.

Y/N's eyes widened in horror, as the world collapsed before her. She slowly turned to Bowser and noticed Peach's crown in hand.

"Bowser... What did you do?", Y/N asked. "I had to, N/N. You have to understand, I did it for us. They were getting in our way. I guess... love really makes a guy come out of his shell.", Bowser said with a chuckle.

Y/N and Peach stares at Bowser with their eyebrows raised, making the giant Koopa chuckle nervously. "I told you that line wouldn't work!", Bowser whispered to Kamek.

"You're doing great!", Kamek said, giving him thumbs up. He looks back at Y/N with loving eyes.

"Y/N, with this star, we will be invincible. We can rule the world together, forever. Will you marry me?", Bowser proposed, bringing out his clawed hand. Y/N was surprised at this and her face turned pink.

"W-WHAT?!", Y/N exclaimed. "Marry you? Are you insane?! I would never let her marry you!", Peach shouted, pointing the halberd back at Bowser.

Bowser gets annoyed and looks at Y/N with hope. "So, what do you say?", Bowser asked.

Y/N feels conflicted right now. Sure, she likes Bowser, but marriage is a little too fast for her and too much for her to bare.

"Bowser, you're a really great guy and I'm happy to see you again, but... I can't marry you. Not like this. Maybe on a better circumstances and maybe one day.", Y/N said, hoping he would change his mind. "Plus, you took away the family I ever cared about. You can't force people to marry you by hurting the others she knows.", Y/N continued.

Bowser glares at her with dark look in his eyes. "Maybe you should reconsider.", Bowser said, darkly.

Kamek uses his magic to constrict Peach and Toad and cause them pain, as they cried in pain. "NO!", Y/N gasped in horror.

She tried to pull them out of the magic with her own, but it deflected off. She brought out her sword to break them out when the sword bounced off instead.

"Stop! Please, stop! Spare them! I'll... I'll-I'll marry you! Just don't hurt my friends!", Y/N pleaded. "Do you swear?", Bowser asked.

"Yes, I swear! Please, B!", Y/N replied. After a moment, Bowser gestured to Kamek to stop as he did, releasing them from their magic.

He brings out his clawed hand at her again. "You have my word.", Bowser told her.

Y/N glances at her downed friends, as they got up. Peach noticed and shook her head not to do this.

She looks back at Bowser with moments of hesitation before sighing and taking his hand. He smiles in victory and places a crown on her head.

As soon as he did, the crown starts changing, surprising them, as it transforms into a brand new crown.

Looks like it found a new princess, shocking Y/N and Peach.

"Ha-ha! Time for a wedding!", Bowser cheered, leading Y/N back into his castle with Kamek behind them. As they head inside, the Koopa soldiers hold Toad and Peach and bring them in as well.

Y/N looks down, saddened at the loss of her two brothers, thinking what had she gotten herself into.
