Ezra's pov

I awoke to the sound of a heart monitor and a IV jabbed into my right arm....... Why can't I feel my left? I shot up and started to panic, immediately Kanan was at my side in tears "It's okay, you're okay, but you need to calm down." I fought against him as he tried to hold me down "But Kanan my arm! Why can't I feel it! What's happening?!? Where are we?!" That's when I saw it...
Nothing....
Nothing was there, my left arm from my elbow down was gone, completely gone. "K-K-Kanan?" I started to cry and Kanan pulled me into his lap then cradled me in his arms as we wept together.

Kanan's pov

It killed me having to make the call when it came to Ezra's amputation but it was that or he would die. I cried as I held him close to my chest, why did this have to happen to him? I ran my fingers through his hair and tried to calm him down, he sounded so scared when he first woke up. He had been out for at least one week so I barely left his side. It was the least I could do after all he had done for me and the crew.

Ezra's pov

"I'm so sorry, it got infected from the blaster shot that hit your one side. We had to... I... I never would of done it if it hadn't been necessary." he said between sobs. I still was trying to process the fact that it was gone. I felt... Sad, angry, heartbroken, frustrated, scared, and afraid... "Ezra? Ezra? Ezra you need to calm down now!" I was taken back from my thoughts when Kanan began frantically calling me, and I looked around the room. Everything was airborne. I slowed down my breathing and everything went back to its place. "What was that?" I felt Kanan place one hand on my missing limb area and the other ruffled my hair. He was smiling? How is this good?!? "That my son........
Was the force."

Ezra building his new lightsaber and Kanan bringing him a beverage! So sweet!😍
