Halfway through December, the agency had started decorating for Christmas. I watched as lights were put up on the walls with little green trees scattered around in every room. It was getting cold outside and we were due for snow just before the 24th.

But, while all this was going on I couldn't help but worry about one thing.

Levi's birthday.

The 25th was quickly approaching and I still had absolutely no clue what to get him. I spent all my free time walking around multiple malls and shopping areas, but could still not find some gift worthy of the worlds most famous photographer.

I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. Today was my day off and I had nothing to do. Marco and Jean were out somewhere, Mikasa was spending the day with some old friends from college and Armin was out Christmas shopping for his family.

I paced around my small apartment wondering what I could possibly do. I still needed to get Levi that damn gift, if only I could figure out what that gift could be.

I picture? No, he was a photographer for heck's sake, the last thing he needs are more pictures. Now that I think about it, we still haven't taken any sort of picture together. I should get into that once we got back to work.

The only thing that I could think of at the moment was one of those cheesy cards. It'll have to do until I find what I was looking for.

I sighed and grabbed my coat and hat, sliding on a pair of boots and walking out of the apartment. I sighed as I left the building and walked towards the general shopping area. But that's when I heard unfamiliar voices shout my name.

"Look guys! I totally think that Eren Jaeger!" – "Who?" – "That famous male model!" – "Come on, let's go talk to him!"

The voices were high-pitched and excited, most likely a group of young teenagers or something. I began mentally panicking. I've never had to go through something like this before, so my very first instinct was to hide. So I turned into the nearest shop, which happed to be a fairly large grocery store.

I quickly ran inside and turned into the nearest isle. I could here the girls enter behind me but stop when they realized I was gone. I didn't hear anything they said after that, but I retreated to the back of the store just in case. There I found the magazine section, looking both ways, I took a step forward to return back to my hold habits.

I used to love walking into different stores and checking out all of the Freedom Wings Magazines. I haven't done it since I actually started working there, but I always remembered smiling and turning to the back to look at the photographers. I shook my head and smiled lightly at the people on the covers. It's funny how I used to wish to be them, and now I am, or, might be.

Sighing, I put the magazine down before I heard a voice behind me.

"Eren? Is that you?" I spun around to see a cheerful looking blond standing close behind me.

"Oh, Armin! Thank god it's you." I sighed with relief and turned to walk back down the isle with him.

"Whatcha' doing here?" He asked me as we reached the doors of the store. We walked outside and continued down the street.

"Well, I was looking for a gift for Levi, seeing that his birthday is coming up soon. But I'm still not sure what I should get him." I explained. Armin nodded and thought for a moment.

"What about a ring?" He smiled. I felt my face become extremely hot and I awkwardly glanced away.

"W-what?! We've been together for four months! I can't propose!" I stuttered. Armin shook his head laughed.

"I didn't mean that kind of ring, like a promise ring. Lots of people get them for each other. They symbolize a specific promise those two people want to keep." He said. I thought for a moment before nodding.

"Armin, this is the reason why your my best friend." I smiled and threw my arm over his small shoulders. He giggled and guided me towards the nearest jewelry store.

The jewelry store was a little bit farther away. We walked down a small little street and stopped in front of the little store.

"I'll wait for you out here, you probably want to choose on your own accord." He smiled. I returned the gesture and slowly walked into the building.

It was warm and very bright, with a little staircase leading up. The owner most likely lived upstairs.

"Welcome! Are you looking for anything specific?" I turned to see a middle-aged woman standing behind a glass counter.

"Uh, yes actually. Do you have any promise rings?" I asked. She nodded and waved for me to follow her over to the other counter by the wall.

I looked at the many options, checking each one over until I found the perfect one.

"Are you buying for someone special?" Smiled the lady. I looked up and nodded, causing her to smile a bit. "You seem very familiar... Ah! Your the young man who keeps popping up on the tv!" She exclaimed.

"Heh, I'm still getting used to people recognizing me." I smiled. She laughed as I picked up a pretty looking silver ring. It was small and thin, but very elegant. I looked at the other ring that came with it. They both looked the same besides the little design on the top.

The first ring had a small white wing while the other had a blue wing, they seemed oddly familiar. I smiled and held them up to the lady.

"I'll take these two please." I grinned excitedly. She nodded and gently took them from my hands. I watched her closely as she put them inside a small black box and handed it back to me. I took out my wallet and paid her, waving good bye as I left the store.

"Ooh! Lemme see!" Armin tackled me as I walked outside. I shook my head and laughed.

"Your gonna have to wait!" I teased and began running back down the street.

"Wait Eren! You know I suck at running!" He called from behind me.

~December 24th ~ Company Holiday Party~

I walked nervously inside the building. Armin and Mikasa were beside me as we entered. I had the small box in my back pocket, which was being covered by the jacket I was wearing.

Every year, the company has a formal event where the models and photographers show up to hang out and relax. And there's a weird radio competition too where some lucky people can come and attend.

I wore a plain black long-sleeved polo with a tie, nothing special or interesting. Armin was wearing some sort of creative blue suit his grandfather had bought him for his birthday. And Mikasa wore a knee-length plain red dress along with some black heels.

Armin sent me a knowing smile before waving goodbye to meet up with Sasha and Krista. Mikasa eventually followed the blond as I went to go and find Levi.

I found him on his own. Leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. As I approached him, I saw his dark eyes light up.

"Eren." He smiled lightly as I moved to stand in front of him.

"Levi." I smiled warmly back. He straightened his back and leaned closer to me. For a moment I thought he was going to kiss me, in front of all these people.

"Watch your back." He whispered into my ear before sliding off into the crowd.

"Huh—?" I turned to see the same squealy girls that I had run from only days ago.

"Oh my god, your Eren Jaeger!" One grinned widely. I awkwardly nodded. These must be the lucky radio winners...

"It must be so much fun to work here!" Said another.

"Yeah, it is." I smiled. The fact that I spoke seemed to make them squeal even more. But before they could say anything else, I pointed at Armin from across the room.

"That's my best friend, he knows nearly everything about me. I bet he'd loved to talk to you guys." I smiled. As if in a trance, the girls nodded and began walking over towards the small blond. I sighed with relief and looked around for Levi once again.

"Nice job." I spun around and saw the raven haired man standing in the same place as he was before. I was confused on how he got back there so fast but I didn't hesitate to grab his pale wrist and lead him off towards the emptied office hallways.

"Eren, what are you—?" I stopped at the end of the hall, and turned the corner.

"I wanted to go somewhere more private but—" I felt a finger press against my lips.

"I know a place." Levi whispered. This time, he grabbed my wrist and dragged me down the other hallway. I hadn't been down this way before, seeing that Levi's Office was on the first floor and there was no need for me to go anywhere else. He walked up a large staircase, which left me breathless once we reached the top. Levi swiped his key card onto a little black plate and a door swung open. I was hit by a cold breeze.
The roof?

"I wanted to take you up here for a while." I heard him say. The roof was covered in a white layer of snow. The railing was made of clear glass and you could see the stars twinkling above us. Other than that, it was completely empty.

"It's so peaceful." I smiled.

"I know. I come up here a lot." Levi smiled and slipped his hands into his pockets.

I quickly took out my phone to check the time. 12:00.

I walked with Levi towards the railing and stood beside him. Our shoulders brushed against each other's as we looked over the city.

"Happy birthday." I smiled while turning toward him. He faintly blushed and turned to face me.

"Thank you, and Merry Christmas." He smiled, leaning closer towards me. He gently placed his arms around my neck and I placed mine around his waist. My breath caught as our lips met and I felt the warmth spread evenly around my body.

We stayed like that for a while. Gently pressing our lips together in complete peace. After a while, I pulled away and reached for the small box in my pocket. I pulled it out and I heard Levi catch his breath.

"Eren, I swear to fucking—" "Shh! It's not what you think!" I smiled.

"These are promise rings. I didn't know what else I could of gotten you, so this was my best idea of a birthday present." I explained. I opened the box and showed him the two small rings.

"Eren, there beautiful." I heard Levi whisper. He picked one up—the white one— and slipped it onto his finger. I did the same with the other ring before dropping the box and giving Levi a hug.

"I promise I'll always love you." I whispered. I heard his breath catch as I said that, seeing that I've never said it out loud before. I was worried that he wouldn't say anything in return, but then he hugged me tighter and said,

"I promise I'll always love you too, brat."
