I cried endlessly into the safeness of Tal's shoulder. My cries echoing throughout the endless, scary warehouse. I refused to look back at Nick's dismembered body, tangled up in strings on the opposite end from where I was sulking. A crimson pool, lifelessly sat in the middle of the room.
"He's dead" I cried, trying to be quiet but my tears crawling up and choking me from speaking.
Imogen had been dragged out by the Man, so it was just me and Tal.
I was expecting Tal to say something comforting but he stood silently, my shaking body wrapped around his.
Suddenly the the Man stumbled out from the corridor, Imogen, nowhere to be seen. He looked at us, tightly hugging each other in the middle of the stone cold room. He looked over at Nicks body parts hanging lifelessly on the rusty wall before smiling to himself.
"I'm going to need another 'N'" he said under his breath, turning back to us.
"Come puppets" he said, half slurring.
"Bed time!"

We walked down the long corridor the Man led us down, Tal and I walking side by side, a few paces behind. I felt a shiver of unsafeness and fear trickle down my spine. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Tal turn his head and look at me, a cute smile set onto his face.
The Man stumbled from side to side across the poorly lit hallway, slurring words that we couldn't understand. The walls covered in dried blood.
"I'm scared" I whisper to Tal, starting to wonder where he was taking us.
I felt Tal's soft hand gently grab mine, a flurry of relief and happiness ran through my body. A small smile breached across my face.
"Here you are," Spitted the man "In you go" signalling to a door before swinging it open.
We stood at the entrance not wanting to move.
"Inn" he spat pushing us in. Before swiftly stepping out and slamming the metal door behind him, we both heard the lock of the door before his heavy and even foot steps faded out as he went back down the hallway.

We both looked around at the room, a line of hammocks stretched across the small room.
"I guess these are out beds" sighed Tal, giving up on being positive for once.
"Yeah" I awkwardly laughed, looking at the hammocks arrayed with holes and patches. At the thought of sleep I suddenly feel tired and walk over to one of the less broken "beds" and layed my limp body down.
Tal slid into one next to me, I closed my eyes and tried to imagine I was back at home in my room, I tried to look for reassuring sounds but I heard nothing. Suddenly I was hit with reality, my hope instantly evaporated into thin air. I tried to listen harder, I tried to find the laugh of my brother, I tried to find the smile of Caroline, I tried to feel the light kiss of my mom, I tried to touch my dads dry hand.

But it wasn't there. None of them were. I tried harder. I tried to feel the love of my family, I tried to feel the bond of my friendship. It was all gone. All of my hope was gone, I was never going to leave, I was never going to get out.

Suddenly a slither of hope shine into view...

"They surely would be looking for us by now!"
