Amaya couldn't sleep that night at all. Everything was too troubling... she could die at any moment, and that was a hard thought to live with. She twisted and turned but couldn't fall asleep, when dawn struck she got out of bed and put on her school uniform.

She ran up the stairs and into her classroom. Today was as dull as any other day. On her way out Amaya noticed a girl standing alone by a window.
"Um hello?" Amaya said and tapped the girl on her shoulder.
"Yes." The girls voice was quiet and hollow.
"Well..." Amaya wasn't sure of what to say. Then she heard something behind her, it was Tsuki-san.
"A-amaya-san? W-who are you talking to?" Tsuki-san asked.
"What do you mea-" Amaya started.
"Let's go!" Tsuki pulled on Amaya's sleeve, Amaya stood still.
"Amaya, let's go! C'mon!" Tsuki said, sounding worried and in a hurry even though they didn't have anything special to do or anywhere to go for that matter, she held her blue umbrella with both her hands. Amaya didn't know what to do, Tsuki turned and started running down the stairs, she slid on the rain water on the stairs and let go of her umbrella, slipping and falling down the stairs. Finally, Tsuki-san got a hold of her umbrella and tried to steady herself, but the umbrellas handle slipped on the polished wooden steps and the sharp tip of the umbrella pierced through Tsuki-san's throat, and she lay at the bottom of the stairs, blood everywhere. Her leg twitched as the muscles in her body spasmed. Amaya stood at the top of the stairs, in shock.
"Y-YOU HAVE TO-" she turned back but the girl she'd just been talking to was already gone. Suddenly the felt breathe on her shoulder.
"Oh, well that's a shame. First blood- first death and it's your friend. You have my apologies." Amaya stood at the top of the stairs, listening to the quiet hollow voice of the girl. The girl then turned and started walking slowly away, taking slow steps that echoed into the empty hallway. "Names Shiori by the way." The girl turned to look at me, and them kept walking.
