Chat thought he must check elsewhere for his lady.  He ran towards the Effiel Tower.  Once there, he noticed all the lights were off.  Strange, since when were the lights not on here?

      He approached the top slowly. He hoped no one followed him. Then, again why should they at this hour?  

       He heard a few gurgling noises close by.  He tipped toed so as not to make a sound.

        Ladybug looked up in horror. She knew despite everything that he had gotten to her.

           "H-Hawkmoth?"

          "Correction, my dear, it is Shadowmoth!"

           Ladybug knew it. Her suspicions were right all along.  

           Hawkmoth had somehow repaired the peacock Miraculous and combined it with his powers.  He was stronger than ever now.

            Ladybug wondered how Hawkmoth found out.  How did he know the truth about her?

            "What do you want with me?"

           "Oh, that is simple, Ladybug, or should I say, Marinette Dupain-Cheng!" Shadowmoth sneered.

            "How?  How did you find out?"  Ladybug whimpered in the dark.

           She dared not struggle against the powerful cords the drained her power from her. It was useless since she knew it would do no good. To escape would mean something far worse than whatever he could do to her.

             "I want your Miraculous.  I only had to pry the information from your most trusted comrade to get it."

             " What?  He does not know, I swear!"  She felt the tears trickle down her face even more.

             "Ladybug, I am not talking about Chat Noir!"

            "I had Lila pry it out of Alya. The total irony, do not you think?  Ladybug being brought down by her best friend?"           

             "Alya promised not to tell anyone. "

           "She betrayed you.  What are you going to do about it?"

           "I do not believe you."

          "Well, then, let us ask her ourselves, shall we?"    Shadowmoth sneered             

             Alya stepped into the room. She shook her head at Ladybug. She did not even try to help her.

            "Ah, is the great Ladybug down for a spell? To bad! "

          "Alya?  How could you?"

        "Let me see, you are popular, I am just a random side character, and besides, I needed the money."

       "Something you could not possibly understand."

          Ladybug felt more pain from the betrayal as Alya walked away than she had in years.

         Shadowmoth laughed. He formed a special Akuma just for Ladybug.

         "Do not try to fight it.  You know it is time, you did, my bidding!"

               He sent it towards her.

          Chat crashed into the room just at that moment.  

            "Shadowmoth!  You failed!"

           Chat cataclysmed the Akuma!  Shadowmoth laughed.  

"You fool, now when your time runs out, I can render you powerless as well!"

   "To bad, but I will not run out anytime soon!  You see, I figured out how to power up!"

               Will Chat be able to stop his lady from being Akumantized?

      Will he defeat Shadowmoth all alone or need to call for backup?
