Kirstie and Taylor sat with Will, and they wouldn't let Jess sit with them in the next morning meeting. She sat with Jeremy, wrong move. Will was on Kirstie's side, he promised, but he wasn't going to not talk to Jess, he couldn't handle the awkwardness. Kirstie decided to forgive him for that, barely.
They settled in for a boring meeting.

"I'm gonna skip lunch," Kirstie told Taylor and Will as they leave the conference hall.
"It's seafood today," Taylor looked at her in disbelief.
"Sorry babe, but I gotta find Avi," she gave them both hugs.
"Don't forget, the workshops at two," Will reminded her.
"We don't want you to get fired," Taylor added.
Kirstie nodded solemnly, she hadn't told them she wanted to quit, they'd think it was just because of Jess, but she's hated it longer than that. "I'll be back, don't worry, Avi kind of knows about the whole situation, so-"
"So you'd rather talk about it with him than me?" Taylor folded her arms.
"No, he just has an answer for a different question that I need. So I'll catch you at the workshop." She walked away before any further cracks could form in her friend group.

Avi was in the first place she looked, the bar he worked at. She sat on a stool and patiently waited for him to be free. The company was due for a long lunch break, so she had time.
     Kirstie smiled at him, "So?"
"I haven't decided yet." He started drying glasses.
"You're telling me that you're not sure if you want to go out and have a good time with a gorgeous woman," she batted her eyelashes, hand under her chin.
He did his best to suppress a smile, "It's not that that I'm unsure about."
"So you'll sleep with me, but you won't take me on a date?" She dropped all her flirty undertones.
"Don't do that," Avi sighed, "Don't make yourself the problem, I'm the problem."
"The 'it's not you, it's me,' really?" She put on a mocking low voice.
"I tried very hard to not use those words, but that's what it sounds like, not my intention. The only other way I could phrase it is another corny line," he sighed.
She leant on her hand, "Hit me."
     "A drink or the line?"
     She smiled, "Smart ass."
He shrugged, "I don't think I'm good enough for you."
"You can't be the judge of that, only I can be. It's bullshit, I just think you're lost and afraid. Everyone has baggage, you know some of mine, I know some of yours, who gives a fuck? It doesn't matter."
     "It matters to some people."
     "Does it matter to you?"
     "No."
"Exactly. Now, have you killed someone?"
     "What? No!"
"Done anything you should be in jail for?"
     "Not that I know of."
"Then I can date that," she nodded. "What time do you finish work?"
He took a deep breath and released it with a word, "Seven."
She grinned mischievously, "Great, I'll be back at seven." Kirstie spun herself off the bar seat.
"You don't have a work thing you have to be at?" Avi asked after her.
"You have nothing to worry about." She waggled her fingers at him, giving him one last smile before she skipped off.
She really did need the distraction.

A/N: How do you think their date is going to go? Is it a good idea?
