A small bell like sound could be heard a split second before the elevator doors opened up. Her sky blue eyes halfway closed, Gidget gave a sudden jolt when she felt the elevator stop moving. Shaking herself, the fluffy white Pomeranian stepped out, soon followed by a tired looking Tiberius. "There is a reason why I hate elevators..." the old hawk grumbled. Looking back at her friend, Gidget responded, "Next time, remind me not to lock my windows."

"Maybe you should write that on your paw with a pen or something. Permanent marker would be the best option," Tiberius mumbled as the pair walked down the hallway. Glancing over at the old red tailed hawk, Gidget was both surprised and relieved that he still hadn't figured out what was going on. She had thought she was going to lose it and spill the beans when they were in the elevator, standing in awkard silence. It had been a good thing that she had almost fallen asleep. Approaching her front door, Gidget could see no light shining underneath it, hinting the others were all set. She smiled quietly.

"What are you smiling about?" Tiberius asked. Jumping a little, Gidget hastily replied, "Nothing! Let's just get into my apartment." Stopping in front of her door, the fluffy white Pomeranian bunched her muscles together before jumping up as high as she could. Grasping the doorknob in her teeth, she turned it, opening the door to reveal a pitch black apartment. Turning his head slowly to look at Gidget, Tiberius muttered, "Let me guess. You turned out the lights before you left?"

"Why wouldn't I? Saves power."

"You're seriously going to use that kind of excuse? Wow, I am so done with this life if you are."

"Hey, it's good to save power."

"I thought you said there was a meeting here. Looks empty."

"Well, I guess everyone is taking their sweet time getting over here, huh?"

"Obviously."

"Look, can you just turn on the lights please? We can hangout together until the rest of the gang arrive."

"Sure, make the bird do everything for ya-"

"Just do it."

"Alright, I'm going! I'm going!"

Stepping off to the side blindly, Gidget could vaguely see the outline of Tiberius as he felt his way towards the wall with the light switch. She glanced around her pitch black apartment, trying to figure out where everyone else was hiding. Looking back towards her best friend, the fluffy white Pomeranian watched silently as the old red tailed hawk flew up and flipped the light switch. The lights flickered on a second afterwards, soon followed by the others jumping out of their various hiding places.

"SURPRISE!"
