"Guys, thank you so much," Snowball told everyone about five hours later. The white rabbit wore one of the biggest smiles that the world had ever seen. It made the others smile. They were relieved that they had given their friend one of the best birthdays of his life. Patting his pal on the back, Max commented, "You're welcome man."

"I still can't believe you were born two days after the Fourth of July," Duke remarked, scratching himself behind the ear. Sitting beside the giant mutt, Chloe licked her paw and drew it over her left ear. A thoughtful look came over her face as she murmured, "Thank goodness that it wasn't on the Fourth of July." Nearby, Mel and Buddy were trembling at the thought of the fireworks that had gone off two nights earlier. Gidget had puffed up, looking like a little fluffy cloud.

"Okay, who's birthday is next?" Pops asked. Standing next to him, Sweetpea had a pen in his beak and a small notebook laying at his feet. Norman helped the small parakeet uncap the pen. Meanwhile, everyone looked around the apartment at each other. "It can't be Leonard or Pops, we just celebrated you two last month," Mel piped up. Nodding his head, Buddy added on, "And we had ours at the beginning of the year, along with Sweetpea, Chloe and Gidget. Norman had his in Decemeber."

"Duke, I think you're up next," Max guessed after thinking about it for a moment. Hearing that, his brother puffed his chest out pridefully. Rolling his eyes, the Jack Russell terrier went on, "You have to wait 'til September, you know that. Right?" Looking down at the smaller canine, the large mutt responded swiftly, "I'm still three days older than you."

"Guys, you don't need to argue. Leave that to Ozone and Tiberius," Gidget quickly stopped any further arguing between the two brothers. Meanwhile, the two animals she had named looked at her in shock. Smiling softly, Max nuzzled his girlfriend lovingly. Everyone else made a face of disgust. However, one person was hiding a secret inside of them while the gang began to head home for the night.
