Chapter 2: First Clash

"You're not going anywhere do you understand! You have already made me feel ashamed of myself and tarnished my respect, what else is there left for you to do?" His father, the renowned businessman Durga Prasad yells at his eldest son, Sanskaar.

"Don't blame me for this! This is karma and it's coming back to you. Do you remember the times you insulted me and the times you tarnished my respect in front of the whole school and class? Do you remember how much careless you had been during my upbringing? The only time you realised you were a father was after me and Lakshya grew up, when we started going college. So please don't try controlling my life and let me live it the way I want." Sanskaar answered back, storming out of the house leaving his father Durga Prasad and mother Annapurna devastated.

"What will happen to him Annapurna? I'm worried for him." Durga Prasad reveals as he turns towards his wife. Gazing at her to find his answers.

As Sanskaar was recklessly driving on the roads, he had something else in his mind which prevented him to focus on the people around him on the road. Speeding, drifting, steering side to side was his way of showing his anger when he's driving and he doesn't realise what serious trouble it could get him into. Not seeing a small girl, presumably 5 years old coming onto the roads to pick her doll which she had dropped while walking across. As soon as the girl lifts her head, he spots her purple hair-band which had her ponytail tied.

"Shittt!" Sanskaar sighs, pressing on the brake with his left leg as hard as possible and the car skids, before he could touch girl, she was swung away and taken to the side. He manages to stop the car and pulls the handbrake up, putting his gear stick in neutral.

He instantly opens the door, stepping out of the car and seeing the small girl on top of Swara, who had scraped her arm on the ground while saving the small girl.

"Beta, are you okay?" She asks, making the small girl stand and sits up herself, kneeling in front of her.

She nods her head, staring at Sanskaar. Swara, who had scraped her arm on the cobblestone ground while saving the life of an innocent girl, stands up, finally turning towards Sanskaar.

"Are you blind!" She angrily exclaims, staring at Sanskaar in disbelief.

"Excuse me Aunty! I was driving while looking, it's your daughter that came on the roads!" He retorts in the same tone, compelling her to drop her mouth while creasing her forehead.

"Excuse me! Do I look like an Aunty to you?"

"Yes, you do! If you don't know how to take care of your daughter or we're too busy to keep an eye out for her then why did you even bother to bring her out?" He remarks, frustrated with the carelessness Swara, assuming her to be the mother of the daughter.

"She's not my daughter and you know what, aunty hogi teri behen. Your sister may look like an Aunty but I don't!" She retorts, feeling offended as she narrows her eyes, glaring at him. "And of I'm the Aunty then you're the Great Granddad." She adds, feeling satisfied with her answering him back.

"Great Granddad and me?"

"Yes you! Go get some specs, they'll help you view properly!"

"You. . ." Before he could answer her back, the mother of the girl calls her name.

"Ananya!" Her mother worriedly yells, walking towards her with tears dripping down her eyes. "Where did you go? Do you know how tensed your Mumma was!" Her mother exclaimed, kneeling and turning her daughter towards her, instantly hugging her.

"Do you realise what you were going to do today? You rich people think your better than everyone when in reality, you're just shallow and spoilt!" She utters, drawing Sanskaar attention, which was filled with anger.

"Mind your words and don't open your unwanted mouth!"

"Really? Will you keep my mouth shut? Will you stop me from telling the truth? How? How will you do that Mr? You may have forgotten but I clearly remember that I have rights to talk!" She answers him back confidently, earning his hate.

"Then go and spit your useless nonsense out somewhere else because I'm definitely not interested!" He asserts his fact, which clearly shows how badly he wants Swara to stop arguing with him.

"Your pride is the problem! You have too much of that don't you? Did you even bother saying sorry to this little girl? Or even bothered asking 'are you okay?' No you didn't, why? Because you're egoistic."

He storms forward towards her, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards him aggressively, taking her right wrist and leaning it against her back, raising it higher so that it could pain her. She let out a sigh, not loosing confidence as she continued to glare at him in the eyes, showing him she's not going to back off and is neither afraid of him.

"When I didn't do anything wrong. . ." He trails off, making her hear his every word. "Then why should I apologise?" He continued, keeping his tone stern but voice low.

"Unbelievable." She sighs, staring at him with disgust, eventually placing her hand on his chest. "You will regret this." She threatens, pushing him away from her.

Her wrist was still in his grip and she holds his hand, jerking it away from hers.

"You won't be able to do anything." He challenges, curling a smirk as he knows no one in this city has the voice to raise it against him.

Swara turns towards Ananya and Ananya's mother, "Won't you file a complain? He nearly killed your daughter."

Ananya's mother moved her gazes towards Sanskaar, swallowing her spit and then gazing at Swara again.

"No. We are fine, we don't want to file any complain." Ananya's mother utters, managing to courage up to say a word in front of Sanskaar.

Swara was surprised "But why? You should. He. . ."

"Please, just leave us alone." Ananya's mother utters, folding her hands while looking at Swara and then walking away.

"But. . ."

Sanskaar makes a sound, moving closer to Swara. "What will you do?" He asks, forming a fake pity expressions and she turned, gazing at him.

"People like you have no standards and don't have that potentiality to do anything. It's not even going to fake me 2 seconds to show you your level of aukaad!" He adds, angering and hurting her.

Just before talking her phone out, she gazes around, seeing everyone behaving as if nothing had happened. She was disappointed and shocked to see the crowd minding their own business.

"I will, you watch!" She challenges, dialling a number and putting the phone on her ears.

"You won't be able to, it's better you leave otherwise you would regret it for lifetime!" He warns but she doesn't pay any heed to his words.

"Hello Police Station?" Sanskaar's expressions stiffen as he looks at her. "I have a complain that I would like to report." She adds after getting a positive response from the other side. "Yeah, there was a man, he was speeding and nearly killed a small girl. The whole crowd saw it but no ones willing to open their mouth, I'm ready to be the witness." She adds while glaring at him with attitude.

After her complaint was reported, she disconnects the call and curls a smirk. "The police will be here, I unfortunately managed to do something."

He clenches his fist, gritting his teeth angrily. "You're going to regret for this, majorly. You don't know me don't you, you will regret."

"Go threaten someone else." She says confidently, "Because I won't fall into any of your threats." She adds, absolutely disgusted with his behaviour.

Before he could respond, the siren alerted him and he cocks his head to the side, spotting a police car coming towards him.

"Your sasural wale are here. . ." She trails off, insulting him and he moves his gazes, which are filled with anger towards her.

"You're so mannerless."

She scoffs, "You're saying I'm mannerless? Really?"

"You don't listen on the first go don't you? I guess your parents didn't teach you any manners." He utters, directly blaming her parents for what she is doing and saying right now.

"Don't bring my parents into this! Okay. What did your parents teach you? You don't even know how to respect a girl and is that what they taught you? Is that how you treat your own parents?" She remarks, directly blaming his parents for the way he is right now.

Both had given each other a death glare, the glare of wanting to punish each other and her wish had been completed as the police had walked towards them and arrested him as soon as confirming with Swara. Sanskaar was slowly dragged away by the police while Swara felt satisfied, she raised her head and started walking away.

The two had gone in different directions but little did they know they would clash again.

**

After spending an hour in the police station, Sanskaar was bailed even before his father could find out he was behind the bars but the news didn't stay hidden much longer, it anyhow traveled to Durga Prasad, enraging him with fury.

As soon as Sanskaar entered through the gate, he felt a sudden force pushing him away and he gazes up, seeing his father, Durga Prasad kick him in the chest, shoving him away from his house.

Swara was walking past and stops, seeing Sanskaar and Durga Prasad standing face to face. Durga Prasad storms towards him, slapping him across the face.

"This was left for you to do!" He yells while Sanskaar lifts his head, looking at his father, who was filled with anger. "How many times did I tell you to stop all of this! Leave his influence! Stop contacting him! Stop being a goon but what do you do in return, disobey me!" He adds, shouting as loud as he could, finally pouring his anger out on him.

"If you even cared, maybe this wouldn't have happened. He cared for me, he treated my son when you didn't!" Sanskaar yelled back, feeling slightly hurt and emotional as the past flows in front of him.

"Then why don't you go to him! Just leave me and my family alone! I regret calling you my son and just get lost!!" Durga Prasad roars, which slightly jerks Swara. "I thought you would change but you never will, I was wrong, I thought you are my son and would listen to me! Today you proved you were never my son! Your surname is a mistake, you're not a Maheshwari! You're not my son! You're not our Sanskaar! You're only that goon's puppy! I don't want you to associate with me or my family anymore!" Durga Prasad adds, showing his enragement and decision, storming inside while slamming the gate shut.

Annapurna, who was in tears stared at her son, her heart didn't want him to go and without saying a word, she was dragged by her husband.

"Ji. . ." Annapurna manages to say as tears fall down her eyes but Durga Prasad ignores her, continuing to drag her.

Sanskaar clenches his fist, controlling his anger and turning around, only to see a bunch of crowd, who rush away as soon as he gazes at them and then his eyes fall on Swara, which lightens his anger.

She snaps her finger once while looking at him, curving a small smirk and turning around as her hair flipped behind her back. Slow huffs left his nose as he sees her walking away.

"You're going to regret this. Majorly." He says to himself, loosing himself in his anger, which has the potentiality to destroy lives.

One phone call was enough to get her details out, all he had to do is recognise by the photos being forwarded while his boys were doing their work. At last he managed to see her photo, giving his boys the positive signal, getting all her details, including her favourite colour and place of birth.

After knowing her address, he made his way to her house, witnessing loads of men guarding it, which sort of surprised him. As he came closer, the men got altered and they stopped him.

"Who are you?"

"Boyfriend of Swara."

The men were shocked. "I just wanted to tell you she's running away with me tonight. If you can stop me then stop me." He challenges, walking away leaving the men to think.

He knew how possessive people were with their respect and taking this news in consideration, they would take action to prevent it and as soon as Swara got home, she was bombarded with loads of questions which she was clueless about and after finding no answers, her family members agree to have her locked in the room.

She didn't even understand a thing, she begged to be freed but they ignored her pleads, waiting for the guy to come by the entrance.

"If our respect gets tarnished then we will kill her and him!" She hears them talk, shocked and stunned by their words.

Having no choice and not understanding the situation and reason behind her being locked away, she climbs out of the window safely, eventually running away.

The horn of the bus snaps the two back from their thoughts as they realise the bus had arrived, before they could move towards it, they see people getting down from it, including the bus driver and the conductor.

She slowly tilts her head to the side, seeing him stand at a distance, facing away from her and she glances away, inhaling a deep breath to console herself.

Unexpectedly, boys with chain around their necks, see Swara standing alone by the bus stop.

"Bhai, she looks sexy." A whisper left the lip of a boy. "Lets go check her out." No one disagreed with him, they instead increased their pace to hover around her.

She arches her eyebrows, confused to see them crowd around her. "Excuse me?"

Their chuckle was what had irritated her after her response.

"Say it again? I'm in love with your voice." She felt uncomfortable and disgusted by their cheap behaviour.

Her eyes narrowed as she glares at all of them "Listen, some irresponsible, mannerless, awful, shameless, idiotic dog has already spoilt my mood, please don't spoil it even more!" Swara replies in a tone filled with anger, clenching her fist afterwards.

"Then we will fix your mood Baby." They joke, ending up laughing, annoying her even more but it clicked and her anger slowly faded, she folds her arm across her chest, ready to say what was in her mind.

"Really? Then please go beat up that guy over there." She requests, pointing at Sanskaar, who was stood with his back facing them. "You wanna fix my mood don't you? Then please go drag him in front of me." She adds, uttering it with all her frustration and anger towards him.

Those boys cock their head to the side, seeing him and then glance at each other, waiting for a signal and as soon as the boy they're looking at blinks, they turn towards Swara.

"Okay."

Swara smiles, "But What will we get in return?" This question of theirs made her smile fade, she gritted her teeth and decided to reply with "A slap!"

"Nah, then we won't do it."

While the boys were talking to Swara, one of them turns and finally sees Sanskaar's face as he had turned, while answering his phone. The boy's heartbeats increased and his expressions changed.

"V. . . Vaat. Let's leave." He trembles and pushes his boys to the side, confusing them as well as Swara.

"What are youuuuuu. . ." His 'u' had stretched as his gazes fall on Sanskaar's face too and his backs way. The rest turn again, staring at the guy who they're told to hit, getting shocked.

"Run!" A whisper was made and all of them agreed to that, the hand stumbled in the process of running but fell on the floor and on top of each other.

"What happened?"

They look up at Swara, folding their hands "Didi. . ."

Swara was stunned seeing them change their colours.

"Sorry Didi, please forgive us." They bring their folded hands to their heads and bow in front of Swara.

"Arre. . . Why have you changed your colours like a lizard? First you were harassing me and now you became my brothers? What happened that I went from Baby to Didi?" She wonders, curious to know the reason behind their sudden behaviour change.

They nervously chuckle, trying to plaster a fake smile even though from inside, they're wetting themselves.

"Didi, you're very jokey aren't you?" She gazes at the boy who passed this comment and could see sweat forming on his forehead.

"Didi, why didn't you tell us you know our Bhai?" She creases her forehead.

"Bhai?" She asks and they manage to stand up, dusting themselves.

"Take care Didi and do remember us if anyone's troubling you. We will be at your service."

"That guy, he's troubling me." She utters, pointing at Sanskaar but they ignore her, instantly rushing away.

"Huh!" Swara irritatedly sighs, stomping her foot while glancing at Sanskaar, who disconnects the call.

Swara walks towards the bench but before she could take a seat, the conductor returns with the passengers, filling their stomach. She holds onto her bag and slowly makes her way towards the bus, he notices her but ignores her as he bends down to reach out for his luggage.

Swara makes her way to the door and the conductor stops her.

"Where do you need to go?" He asks and before she could reveal, his eyes travel to Sanskaar.

"B. . . Bhai." He stutters, swallowing and feeling a lump.

Swara turns and sees Sanskaar walking towards them. "Bhai? Why is he calling him Bhai? Does that mean those boys were talking about him too?" She mummers to herself, now curiously wondering why.

Sanskaar ignores him and the conductor moves Swara to the side. Swara's mouth slightly drops and before Sanskaar could enter, she moves in front, walking inside.

The conductor looks on while Sanskaar rolls his eyes. As soon as she enters the bus, she glances around and sees it full but as soon as Sanskaar entered, the passengers stood up. Swara was confused at first, assuming the stood up for her. She makes her way towards the back, taking a seat on the last row where nobody was sat and as soon as she took her place, she sees Sanskaar's hand drop but as it dropped, the people on the bus sat down which caused her to be more suspicious.

'Maybe they were shocked to see him that's why they stood up, otherwise who would've stood up for him. After all he's famous for his aggressive behaviour.' Swara's mind says as she rolls her eyes, looking away.

Seeing no other space, he walked towards Swara, sitting 3 seats away from her down the side and she felt uncomfortable, yet deciding to ignore him.

'He kissed me right, now I'll make him regret and make him fall on his knees, begging for my mercy. Jungly Billa kahika.' She cusses him in her mind, determined to make him regret for his action. She closes her eyes, resting her head on the seat to relax her body just before the journey started.
