Gray (in Juvia) pov

We walked through the night to the train station, it was eerily quiet, with not another soul in sight. I yawned. The others were just lost in their own thoughts, staring out into a distance.

"Juvia." I took me a second to remember that was me. The rest of the girls turned their attention to me.

"Yes, Erza?"

"I was just wondering, why do you like Gray?" My face dropped, my body froze. I didn't know the answer to the question. I haven't the slighest idea. My mind ran back to the day she made me a scarve, a smile tugged at the the coner of my lips.

"Well, he is sweet, kind, funny. He never fail to bring a smile to my face and he is always happy, no matter the circumstances." I smiled, the rest of them were nodding without noticing that what I said was actually what I think of Juvia. Just thinking about her makes my heart flatter. I wonder how she is doing right now. She was probably asleep on my bed. I blushed at the sudden thought.

"What about you, Lucy?" We boarded the train and settle down.

"What do you mean, Erza?" Lucy's face was bright red and she was trying to use her hair to cover her face.

"Yeah, tell us why you like Natsu." Carala explained. Oh this is juicy,  I must let Natsu know once I return to my body. After some chatting, we all soon fell asleep.

Juvia (in Gray) pov

I woke up, washed up and sat down at the table enjoying my toast.

"Oi, ice Prince." Natsu stood on my window frame with Happy on his shoulder. I picked up my bag and headed to the front and meet them.

"Let's go!" He pumped a fist in the air and started to walk with a huge grin across his face, I followed quietly behind.

"Thinking of Juvia, Gray?" The flamehead turned to comment. His mood seemed to die down to a more mellow one. "You know you should just tell her how you feel already right?"

"What do you mean?" Istopped in my tracks and he moved to stand in front of me, staring to who he thinks is Gray.

"Well, you should tell her that you like her." I was too shock to reply and so he continued "She has already been trying so hard to get your attention but all you do is to shake her off. Don't you think that is a little selfish?" I nodded.

"Yeah. I'll think about it."

"Hey, what is the hold up?" Happy screamed, flying back to us.

"But for now let's just think about the mission." I nodded and we headed to the train station.

We arrived our stop afew hours later with Natsu still recovering from his motion sickness. He dragged his legs to catch up with Happy and I.

"What was the job again?" I asked, looking back at the sick pink head.

"We need to find and kill a beast that has been destroying the crops of the villagers." Happy repiled for his friend.

Erza Pov

"Hey, wake up. We're here." I screamed to the other four sleeping girls. Juvia was the first to stir, followed by Wendy. Lucy was the last to move. We got off the train just before the door closed.

"That was too close." Carla commented.

"Let's go!" I shouted enthusiastically.

"What was the job again?" Lucy asked, still rubbing sleep from her eyes.

"We have to clean the whole town that was flooded with mud."

"That's all?" Juvia grumbled but a momnet she seemed to notice something and winched "I mean we better hurry." She turned away and started to walk. Something was wrong, Juvia doesn't seem to be herself.

Just as I was about to put my finger on what it was Lucy said "Erza what are you waiting for?" She waved me over and I forgot about it and caught up to them.

Juvia (in Gray) Pov

"We're here." I announced as we stood at the edge, looking down at the village.

"We have to find the head of this place." Natsu said mostly to himself, Happy and I nodded in agreement. We headed into the village as we walked passed we noticed all the empty fields.

"I wonder what is the cause of this?" Natsu mumbled.

"They say there is a beast that eat thier crops at night." Happy recalled from the poster.

"Doesn't look like it was eaten. No. Its something else." I bend down to inspect the patches of land. A shadow appeared from behind me, something covered me and soon everything turned pitch black.

Natsu Pov

"Gray?" I turned around to realised my friend was no longer with me. "Where did that bastard go?" I looked around me and noticed that Happy was also not my by my side. "Happy?! Gray?! Oi, guys?!" I walked and searched for them. As I went down the row of houses I noticed that they were all empty.

A shadow cast from above me and I looked up, as I lowered my head I caught a glimpse of a masked man before I was left in the darkness.

Wendy Pov

"So, this is the place." I stared at the village in front of us. It was submerged in mud, twigs and branches floating at the top. There were people sitting on the top of the roof, trying not to fall in.

"We are from fairytail and we are here to help you." Erza shouted across to the villagers. They gave a whoop of relief, then went back to clutching on to one another.

"Well, we better get started." Lucy exclaimed. I looked at Juvia who was staring into a far, lost in her own thoughts.

"Juvia-san are you alright?" I walked over to the rain woman and stood beside her.

"Yeah, just thinking." She repiled. Well, we better get started on the job." She forced a smile on her face.

"Yeah, sure." I replied, with that we started in the task at hand.
