What did I just see? Petunia thought, watching Oak and Rose walk to the group. She had witnessed the two kiss, without them knowing.
If I tell dad both Rose and Oak will be dead. She thought, frowning. There was a loud roar coming from above and Petunia looked up to see a black dragon circling the volcano.
That's odd, that dragon wasn't there before. She thought. Koi, Bramble, Rose, and Oak seemed to notice as well. Koi especially looked troubled.
"That dragon must be here because we have a wounded animal with us." He rumbled, looking down at Blizzard. The lizard was starting to wake and sat up.
"Where are we?" Blizzard asked.
"Magmaborne village, er what is left of it." Koi answered. The dragon roared again. The lizard looked down at his legs and screeched.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY LEGS!?" He yelled.
Koi's round ears shot up and he covered Blizzard's mouth.
"Don't be foolish, there is a dragon up there circling the volcano." He rumbled, uncovering Blizzard's mouth. The lizard looked up and saw the dragon.
"What happened to my legs?" He asked quieter.
"They got paralyzed by the cave collapsing and then I tried to burn them off." Koi answered.
"Why would you do a raven-brained thing like that!?" Blizzard grumbled.
Well, he's back to himself. Petunia thought.
"Because they are useless now." He answered.
"I have a potion that can cure paralysis with me." Blizzard grumbled. "You didn't have to try to burn my legs off."
"Why on earth would you have such a thing with you?" Petunia asked.
"I brought one of every potion with me except for burn resistant potions, which I brought 6 of." He answered.
"Well then, let us heal your legs up." Koi rumbled, standing back up.
"There is only one way to do it now." Blizzard grumbled. "Someone needs to cut my legs off then dump a potion on me that says 'Limb Regeneration.'" Petunia winced.
"Ew." She said, wrinkling her nose. Bramble nodded and unsheathed his sword. Koi backed away and Petunia turned around, not wanting to see it. There was the sickening sound of sword penetrating flesh and Petunia was surprised that Blizzard didn't scream. There was a plop and Bramble stepped back, holding a bloody iron sword. The black and white Persian turned around and saw something gruesome, Blizzard's legs were cut off, bloody stumps showed where they once were. Petunia gagged as Bramble wiped the blood off with his brown cloth cape, staining the brown cloth dark red. The lizard groaned a bit.
"Get the potion out of my bag that says: 'Limb Regeneration.'" Blizzard groaned. Petunia approached his bag and dug through it, finally finding the bottle that said 'Limb Regeneration.' It was full of red liquid that looked dark enough to be blood. She winced and poured it on his body. Instantly there was a shimmer and his legs grew back, good as new and no signs of paralysis. Blizzard stood up and took the empty bottle from Petunia.
"You didn't have to use so much." He grumbled. She huffed and turned around. Blizzard grabbed his bag.
"So, lets go rescue Forest." He grumbled, walking. Rose, Bramble, Koi and Oak followed.
"Rose!" Petunia called. Her sister stopped and turned around.
"What?" Rose asked.
"Come over here, I need to talk to you." She said. Rose twitched her ears in surprise but came over to her.
"What is it?" The pink tabby asked, twitching her nicked ear.
"Did you kiss Oak?"
