Virat and Rohit were slumped on the couch watching TV and Virat was kinda just poking Ro on the belly because he was bored.

"You are getting fat" Vi said.

"Mind your own business" Ro said off handedly.

"I am doing that." Vi said "Irritating you is exclusively my business."

"Vi...I swear I will kill you some day" Ro said.

"Well I am basically about to die. Don't you remember?" Vi said "According to what I said to Mahi bhai."

"And you thought it was it was perfectly all right to say that." Came a cold voice from the door way.

Both Vi and Ro jumped up to see Mahi bhai standing at the doorway Jinks and Jaddu just behind him with a stricken expression.

And Jaddu's stricken expression did manage to worry Vi a little though only for a moment before the happiness of seeing Mahi bhai washed over him.

He was about rush to Mahi bhai but Ro beat him to it. He had almost flown over and latched himself to MS but MS calmly pushed him away.

By then Vi had also reached him and was about to throw himself on him but MS stopped him with a gesture of his hands.

"I need some answers first Virat, Rohit" Mahi said.

"Bhai..I..." Virat started.

"You, what? You both, what?" Mahi asked with an icy tone to his voice "Please tell me Virat which hospital were you admitted to for the treatment of your...your ..." He couldn't bring himself to complete the sentence, the thought of even uttering that Virat had that illness sent a shiver of panic down Mahi's spine.

"Bhai...we..." Ro tried.

"You don't even start Rohit Sharma" He said "Because you both have lot of explanation to give. So Virat and Rohit please tell me why did you think it would be ok to tell someone that you have an terminal illness?"

"Bhai, it was all prank" Virat said lightly "And see we successfully brought you here"

"Vi came up with it" Rohit said in a smaller voice "And I agreed because..."

"Because you thought this stupidity is good idea obviously." Mahi completed.

"Bhai at least we succeeded in making you believe." Ro said with a slight hint pf pride in his voice because in the end he was the one who had talked to Mahi bhai.

And Mahi bhai's fists clenched hearing that tone.

"Do you both find this funny?" He said now in a voice that did manage to scare them.

"Bhai...actually...we..." Rohit stammered.

"Bhai...choro na wo sab...you are here now." Virat tried to make light of it "Bina baat ke gussa kar rahe ho aap."

"Virat Kohli" Mahi said in now a seething voice "Dare you use that tone after what you did"

"Bhai...we...we are sorry" Rohit said, nudging Vi to stop arguing.

"Do you even understand the gravity of what you did?" Mahi said "How did you even think it would be good idea to act like Virat had a terminal illness."

"Bhaaaai" Virat said "Mazak hi toh kar rahe thhe, why are you reacting so much?"

"Haa bhai, aap ko bura laga toh we are sorry." Rohit said "But aap thora over react kar rahe ho."

Rohirat were mostly crest fallen that they put in so much effort pulled such a clever trick (in their minds) but Bhai instead coming and hugging them and being happy looked stormy, angry, disappointed and was scolding them.

Mahi was more than taken aback by how light these two were making of the situation, they had no idea of the gravity of it.

"Bhai choro na" Virat said.

"Virat" Mahi said "You guys think this situation so light."

"Bhai now you are reacting as if you are bummed that I don't actually have an life threatening disease" Virat said before he could stop himself.

"What did you say?" Mahi said, his voice losing any trace of any emotion now.

"Bhai...actually....he..." Ro tried.

"If that's what you feel" Mahi said "Then I think there is no use standing here and talking to you."

He himself was too angry to explain anything to them anymore. Without waiting for their reply he turned and left towards the reception.

"Why is he overreacting so much?" Vi said, Rohit shrugged.

"Really?" Jinks said from the door "You two think Mahi bhai is overreacting?"

"He is Jinksy" Ro said "It was just a prank, I agree what Virat said now was wrong, so he could have scolded us and been done with it, but he is acting all cold, didn't even hug us."

"You were both reacting so defensively." Jinks tried to explain

"We are acting defensive cause we aren't at fault Jinks, you agree or not." Virat said "He is acting like he isn't happy to see us at all."

"I don't know what to say to you both." Jinks said and went to look for MS, leaving his two best friends childishly angry on Mahi Bhai.

Jaddu had followed MS to the reception, he could hear MS talking to the receptionist

"When is the earliest flight to India" He asked.

"Let me check sir" The receptionist said "Sir there are no tickets on the flights today. But we can get you a ticket tomorrow. To which airport sir?'

"Anywhere in India is fine" MS said "The earlier, the better."

"OK sir" He said "I will book the earliest flight."

"Bhai" Jaddu called, unable to stop himself.

"Don't." MS said "Don't try to defend them Jad"

"I am not trying to." Jaddu said "Par bhai ab aa hi gaye ho bhai toh ruk jao na."

"Haa bhai" Jinks said joining them in the reception at that point "Ruk Jao na."

"I don't think staying will be good decision at this point." Mahi said.

"Bhai, I know bohat bari galati ki hai un dono ne" Jinks said "Par aap chalein mat jao."

"Its not about that Jinks." Mahi said "The fact is they aren't even realising it was a mistake. Its better that we don't talk now, let me go back, let this series get over, then lets see."\

He collected his overnight room keys and left.

"He is too anger" Jinks said, he badly wanted bhai to stay.

"Yeah he is" Jaddu said "But he isn't leaving tomorrow"

"He wont listen even if we plead Jaddu" Jinks said.

"I didn't talk of pleading." Jaddu said "I have the perfect plan."

"Oh no." Jinks deadpanned.

A/N: I am back....after a loooooooooong time and I really struggled with this chaptera and I was in a kind of writers block, because i was consumed with making new artworks(I have an art insta amateur_artist_stories). But now I am getting back into writing. I hope to finish this story fast. Because there is very special story in the making. I will publish the intro for that soon.
