Upon arrival, students piled out of the train haphazardly. The first years and smaller second years were swept along out of their control by the large crowd.
Teddy, Victoire and Ferdenand made it to a carriage, and it began to trundle its way up to the castle.
"So what do you think i should make... Something that can heal all wounds, or something that stops people aging?" Teddy questioned suddenly.
"Teddy..." Victoire sighed.
"No, for real. What do you think you'd like to see most?" He asked.
"Vanity is already enough of an issue, and you still want to be a healer, right?" Victoire said, "so... A healing stone is a great idea, i think." She cast her eyes downwards. "I still think this isn't how you should face up to your identity problems."
"Thanks, Vic!" He smiled broadly as though he hadn't heard the last bit. "That's a good point. And if i make a healing stone, it would further my career as a healer." He nodded happily.
"We're here guys." Ferdenand informed them. The carriage came to a halt.
"Good, i'm hungry!" Teddy said cheerily, and leapt from the carriage. Victoire and Ferdenand followed. The great hall was set up magnificently, as always, and the sorting was over before they knew it. Soon enough, Victoire joined them at the Hufflepuff table as the students were hoeing down into various scrumptious dinner items. Teddy had mushroom stew, and Victoire had a bacon and chicken carbonara. Ferdenand was enjoying pumpkin pie. For dessert, Teddy ate lime flavoured jelly (jello) with custard, Ferdenand had good quality icecream with chopped peanuts and chocolate sauce on top, and Victoire enjoyed a giant chocolate chip cookie the size of a bread plate. After the food, the whole hall was completely satisfied.
"Off to bed you hop, go on!" Dumbledore spoke from behind the podium at the front. The student body stood at once, and there was a great clattering as everybody filed out.
"Goodnight!" Victoire called out as she made her way toward the stairs which led up to the Ravenclaw tower. Teddy and Ferdenand waved goodbyes, and the blue haired boy called
"sweet dreams!" Before they traipsed down the stairs into the dungeon and then into their house, following the Hufflepuff prefect who had given the password 'daisies'. The Hufflepuff house common room was round, earthy and low ceilinged. Beyond the window was a view of the blinding darkness of nighttime, but in the daylight, rippling grass and dandelions could be seen bending in the wind. The doors leading to the dormitories were round, and scattered about the walls. Copper lamps lit the room, casting a sunny sort of light over the overstuffed black and yellow upholstery of the sofas in the room. Plants hung by the windows and from the ceiling, many of which danced or sung. Overall, it was a happy sort of place, and even their beds in their rooms were covered in patchwork quilts and lit by the same style of copper lamps as the common room.
Teddy and Ferdenand shared a room with three other boys in their year; Zaine, Conroy and Aedan.
Zaine had longish dark hair and eyes and a sharp jawline. He liked to laugh dated a fellow Hufflepuff in the year below named Bernadette, who was hands down the hottest girl in her year. Zaine was known for being sweet and gentlemanly, and a real joker.
Conroy, on the other hand, upheld a dangerous, badboy reputation. He rode an enchanted Harley Davidson, wore alot of leather and was a closet bisexual, the latter of which only his dorm mates had any idea of. He always had girls after him, and often found himself deliberately avoiding them.
Aedan meanwhile, also had plenty of attention from the ladies. He had long dirty blonde hair and played quidditch, but he liked reading books more than spending time in a broom closet with a girl, and was on the lookout for the one.
Teddy didn't get approached by very many girls because everybody assumed that he and Victoire were an item, which wasn't true. They were very close, and she was really pretty, and Teddy sort of got the urge to just lean in and kiss her sometimes, but they weren't an item... They could never work out anyway..... Teddy was still working on why exactly he and Victoire couldn't work out, when Zaine interrupted his train of thought.
"You okay?" He questioned.
"Ah- yeah." Teddy shook his head to clear it.
"You looked kind of spaced out just now."
"Just... Thinking." Teddy ran a hand through his blue hair.
"Well- are you coming to bed?" Zaine raised an eyebrow.
"Erm... Yeah." Teddy responded. He had been standing idly in the doorway for a good ten minutes. Zaine led the way into their dorm and slumped down into his bed. Teddy pulled back the blankets on his own bed, and lay down.
"Goodnight guys." Ferdenand said.
"Goodnight." Zaine and Aedan said at once,
"Night night." Yawned Conroy.
"Goodnight everyone." Teddy smiled to himself, and then rolled over onto his side. Zaine's hand peeked out from his blankets, directed at the copper lamp on his bedside which had been their only source of light while they were getting into bed. Zaine tapped on the side of it, and it went out. Slowly, he drifted off peacefully to sleep.

Author's note
At this point, Teddy and Victoire aren't actually together yet. That would be about fifth or sixth year, i think.
