Feather's point of view

And just like that. With a quick shove....

I was on fire.

I let out a pained scream as the flames raced along my skin. I tried to scramble around, and with much flailing, I managed to grab my bag, and my magic mirror.

Brandon's point of view

I took a deep breath as I looked out at the setting sun. My eyes drifted towards the pond, my reflection staring up at me. I frowned and looked at the bandage on my arm. With a quick rip, I threw the bandage onto the ground.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" I heard someone scream. All of a sudden, Feather dropped onto the ground, engulfed in flames.

I jumped back as the screams became louder.

"Feather?!!" I scream as I looked at her body flopping on the ground. I quickly rushed to her side.

This isn't good

This isn't good

This isn't good

This isn't good

This isn't good

This isn't good

She's gonna die...

She's gonna die

She's gonna die!!

BRANDON! STOP PANICKING!

Feather let out another blood-chilling scream.

"BRANDON! HELP ME!" Feather screamed.

My mind swirled with thoughts as Feather choked out another sob.

I...

Umm... I-- I...

WHAT DO I DO?!??

I looked towards the pond and got an idea.

I dropped down to my knees and picked Feather up. Flames licked at my arms. Wincing in pain, I stood up and held her close to me.

Feather had tears falling down her face.

"B...Brandon.... It... Hurts..."

And almost instantly after she said that, I threw her into the water and waded in after her.

Feather rose to the surface of the water, Coughing weakly. Almost all of her armor burned away and she was covered in scorch marks. Some patches on her clothes were completely burned away, leaving raw skin, red and charred.

I swam over to her and held her again. A large exhale of relief escaped from my lungs when I realized that she was still alive.

Her eyes were closed shut and her upper lip was quivering. I carefully shifted her in my arms, To make sure that I wasn't directly touching the burns.

I took off her helmet.

I knew I should be worried right now, But I felt eerily calm. Just..... Staring at her face..... It.... Made me feel nice.... Holding her in my arms.... I.... Felt relived.... She's back home..

I watched as tears started splashing on her cheek. I smiled as I continued crying tears of relief.

I hugged Feather tight as I stood there in the water. She tightly held onto me too, crying as well.

The air was silent, as we held onto each other. Both of us didn't dare to speak.....

Mainly because no words would ever express how much it would kill me if she died.

And I guess there's no amount of words to express the amount of pain Feather is in.

I wanted to keep her in the water for just a little bit longer, Since the cool water eases burns....

I wanted us to be alone just for a little bit longer...

I wanted us to be together for just a little bit longer....

But I had to get her to Molly.

I moved a stray piece of hair behind her ear.

"I... I missed you, Brandon..." Feather whimpered as I stepped out of the water.

She had her eyes cracked open a bit, and she gave me a pained smile. Slightly blushing, I didn't respond.

I grabbed her bag and carried her towards the house.

Molly's point of View

(Aww... This is the first time!)

"So... What you're saying is, Is that Moonglow seeds make for a good---" I started before I heard a soft knock at the front door.

"That must be Brandon. I'll get it." Chryseis said, Walking towards the door.

"OH MY WARDEN!" She screamed as soon as she opened the door. Chryseis shoved Brandon into the room. It took me a moment to realize that he clutched a body in his arms.

It took me another moment to realize that the body was Feather and that she was covered in extreme burns.

"C-can you h-help her?" He stuttered out. His face was streaked in tears and his eyes were puffy.

I nodded as he set Feather down on the table.

Chryseis handed me my medical bag as I started to get to work.

"There.... That should do it." I finished applying the last bandage. I looked over to Brandon, Who's eyes were glued on Feather.

I didn't dare to say for him to leave her alone.

Every time I do, He ignores me and sits with her anyways.

I'm.... Actually surprised at him. He.... Didn't panic this time...

Instead, He just had this faraway expression on his face with a sad look in his eyes.

... It.... Would be best not to ask what happened. I'd rather not tread on the topic.

I turned my back to leave before I heard a small voice.

"B-Brandon..." Feather murmured. I turned around to watch.

"Yes Feather?" He replied instantly. Brandon wiped his eyes.

"I.... I...... L----....... T-thank you..." She said softly. I leaned against the doorway and smiled.

Brandon didn't answer. Instead, He pulled her in for a tight hug.

"Y-you really scared me there, I don't know what I would of done if you had died..."

She shakily put her arms around him.

"It.... It h-hurts... Y-you're hurting me, B-Brandon..." Feather whimpered. Brandon instantly let go and set her down again.

"S-sorry..." He mumbled. Feather looked at him, a loving look in her eyes.

"But you can still hold my hand...." She smiled. She had this certain sparkle in her eyes and a dazed smile on her face.

...... Oh my....

She's in love with him!

"Hey.... Molly....." Darius said, wrapping his arm around my waist.

He looked over at Brandon and Feather.

"What did I miss?" He whispered into my ear. I smiled, Looking at the lovebirds.

It was finally time she fell for him.

"Feather's in love with Brandon..." I replied, beaming. Darius looked back at them.

"How can ya tell? They look the same, just as adorable as ever.." He trailed off. I looked at him and gave him a quick peck on his cheek.

"She's looking at him the way I look at you everyday."
