Totally not a rip off of Teen Titans

Okay yes, I was HEAVILY inspired by Teen Titans. At the time of writing the story I had been rewatching the series and thought it would be a good way to show off some OC's, I'd recently made. Two of these characters were put into The Shadows story. In total, The Shadows is made up of three abandoned stories where I could save some characters from their demise.

In this story, we have a group of six:

Flora - she can control flowers

Robin - is basically the pink Raven

Alice - a non-vegetarian gender-bent Beast Boy

Violet - the female Avatar with half the elements

Jason and Mason - twin brothers who control the weather - Jason controls hot weather and Mason controls cold weather

They vary in age with the youngest being Violet at twelve and Flora being twenty. They fight demons and monsters but I never really focused on that side of the story. I focused more on group drama. This is probably one of my most underdeveloped stories since I only had one main drama and that was with Violet. It'll be now that you see how much I love Violet since she is the only one with a background.

She lived in Manchester previously and was the only one there with powers which meant her mum had little to no resources on how to raise her. Her mum has no powers and her dad hid his powers because he didn't want to be a hero which, when he died the day Violet was born, meant her mum had no clue on what to do. Her form of discipline was to keep her in constant fear so that she would never lash out against her. Though, keeping Violet in constant fear meant she had a sudden outburst of powers. When her last outburst nearly burnt down the house her mum went to Robin, who was going to the team at the time and begged her to take Violet with her. She did and they never talked again. Literally. A few years later and news comes that Violet's mum was killed in a demon attack. Everyone expects Violet to feel sad but she can't help but feel relieved. Nobody understood how bad it was to live with her mum and thought she was being too critical. Granted they only saw the struggling mother not the screaming monster so they didn't see the whole image. She locks herself in her room and has a freakout. She couldn't make herself feel bad because she didn't but they were expecting her to be the grieving daughter, a part she refused to play. Eventually, she runs away only to be found by Robin who explains that she knew her mother very well and insisted that she wasn't that bad. Violet breaks down and explains what she lived through. Robin apologizes and they work through her issues.

That's that on the story since I never finished it. Apparently my M O is distressed overpowered children who have been neglected by important people in their lives. I don't know what that says about me
