Tyler woke up. It was Christmas Day. He leapt out of bed and got dressed. He ran to Kage's room and shook him, yelling, "Wake up, Kage! It's Christmas!"

"Get lost," Kage mumbled. He was not a morning person.

Tyler didn't care. He ran down the hall, cheering like a moron. He grabbed his phone to call - who else - Caylin.

"Merry Christmas!" Caylin said as soon as she picked up.

"Merry Christmas to you, too!" Tyler replied.

"You excited?" Caylin asked.

"Of course!" Tyler said.

Tyler got in his car and drove to the castle.

*At the castle...*

When Tyler and Kage entered, everybody was just hanging around, decked out in their pajamas. Caylin approached them. "Hey, guys!" she said. "Welcome to the castle!"

"We're glad to be here!" Tyler said. "Let's get this party started!"

Everyone took their spots around the tree. Peach grabbed a present from under the tree. "This one is for Ethan," she said. "It's from Kage."

Ethan tried to look excited, but he was groaning inwardly. He already knew what he was getting, and sure enough, he got exactly what he expected, but worse. He got pink and purple socks with unicorns on the sides. "Thanks, Kage," Ethan said, doing his best to sound excited.

"The next one is to Kage from me," Peach continued.

Kage accepted the gift and opened it. It was the Perfect Bacon Bowl Kage had been wanting for a while. His face lit up and he was speechless.

"This one is to Mario from Ethan," Peach stated.

Mario immediately opened the present. It was a designer pair of overalls. Mario had no idea how Ethan could afford the overalls, but he didn't ask.

"This one appears to be for me from Mario!" Peach exclaimed. She opened the box to find a pair of earrings. She absolutely loved them.

"The next one is to Matt from Daisy," Peach continued.

Matt was excited. He loved Christmas and the joy of gift-giving. He opened the present and found an iPad. He had been wanting one of these for ages. He began to set it up.

"OK, next one is for Daisy from Luigi," Peach said.

Daisy couldn't wait to open the gift. She knew Luigi would get a good gift. She tore into the paper. She got... a new tennis racket! Daisy had been looking for one of these for a long time (tennis rackets were surprisingly rare in the Mushroom Kingdom.) Her racket had been worn down and was essentially held together by duct tape. She was overjoyed.

"The next one's to Luigi from Evan," Peach said.

Luigi was unsure about what he was getting. Evan was somewhat unpredictable. Luigi opened the box to find a new pair of winter gloves. Luigi didn't know how Evan found gloves; they were almost impossible to find and they cost a fortune. Luigi tried them on; they fit perfectly.

"This one is to Evan from Matt," Peach said.

Evan was excited. Matt and Evan had been friends for a long time, so Matt knew everything about Evan. Evan opened the box to find 100 rolls of duct tape. Evan used duct tape for all his repairs, so he needed a lot of it. It was perfect for him.

"The next one is to Tyler from Caylin," Peach announced.

Tyler stared at the present for a few moments, enjoying the moment. Finally, he opened the present. He got... a deluxe Wii U! He'd been wanting one ever since they were launched. He sat there, unable to say anything.

"The last one is to Caylin from Tyler," Peach concluded. There weren't any other presents. Peach looked over at Tyler.

"Give me a moment," Tyler said. "I had to store it outside. You'll see why in a moment." Tyler threw on his coat and went outside.

About 30 seconds later, he returned. He had something on a leash. Suddenly, it came into view. It was... a real live cheetah! The cheetah bounded over to Caylin. She petted it, overcome by sheer joy. She got up, walked over to Tyler and gave him a hug. Tyler hugged her back. "Thank you," Caylin whispered.

Afterwards, they disbanded in order to get ready for the party that night.
