We arrive back in the water district but there's no sound or ripples in the darkened water except for water dripping on the stone towers. Velma paused for a moment and said "I clearly sensed that the guardian that lurked in these waters is patrolling at the bottom but can only rise up if you disturb the water" I smiled even though I felt chills running down my spine. I pulled out my sword and dipped it into the water and swish it around just to lure the guardian out of the water and my surprise I see a shadow deep in the water getting closer and closer to the surface so I quickly sheathed my sword and stepped back.

The shadow got up into the surface and see scales protruding out of the water as it circles around the platform we are on like a shark "you had to do it, didn't you?" She said and I nodded "madam, I am going to slay the guardian but what is it that the guardian is guarding?" I asked but she paused for a bit before casting a light spell which creates a large orb of light that shines so bright that it illuminates the whole water works and I saw the guardian itself circling around us. I can make out what the guardian looks like: a mixture of a dragon and a lobster, the guardian rises up to the surface and roars at us, I saw two purple glowing roots growing out of where it's eyes used to be so it must've been corrupted for a long time. I pulled my sword again and readied as the guardian swings it's finned tail and I ducked, it swings it's tail again so I swung my sword and chopped off its tail thus causing the guardian to roar in agony.

The guardian splashed the water with its pinchers thus causing waves to form thus trying to drown us or push us into the water, Velma started to sing a hypnotising song that I had no idea what she is doing but nevertheless the guardian became entranced by her song. She signaled me that now is the time to act while she is distracting the guardian so I jumped on its left pincher and began running across it's carapace and tried plunge my sword into its hard carapace but the blade bounced off and the guardian grabbed me by its right pincher. Velma stopped singing and the guardian roared at me but nows my chance, I plunged my sword through its mouth and into its brain causing it to roar before falling into the waters but I fell with it and splashed into the water. I gasped for breath as I reached the surface and swim to the platform, "there there, you've slain the guardian and I am impressed" she said as I sat on the platform.

I saw something glowing in the water so I got up and walked to the edge of the platform and saw a yellow glowing key with a topaz on it as the key floats above the water, Velma reached out her hand and the key hovers towards her and she grabbed it "here, this is the key to the scholar district and make sure not to drop it!" She said as she handed the key to me. I put the key into my pocket but before I leave she casts a teleportation spell thus sending me to the entrance of the water district, I walk out of the tunnel and walk towards the stairs of the eastern tower that leads to the scholar district. The bird like creatures are circling the eastern tower as I climbed higher until I approached the stone bridge and at the other side there's a steel gate that leads to the scholar district so I crossed the bridge and walked to the gate, I pulled out the key that has a topaz and insert it into the keyhole. The key disappears as the gate opens itself wide so I can see a large corridor with few doors and windows at the top with light penetrating the darkness thus making it easier to navigate.
