As Quintana is bandaging Khali's hand and Ian's knees, Ty walks in with Justina. Wolfie sighs heavily through his nose and shifts in his chair.

"She punched the wall. I need you to make sure her hand isn't broken," Ty explains tiredly. Justina pouts slightly, but doesn't fight against Ty as he puts her down on a bed and occupies the empty chair beside Wolfie.

"Is Khali okay?" Jerome asks from the chair beside Wolfie.

"She'll be fine, just some minor cuts," Quintana replies. The demon girl stands up and follows Jerome out.

The mudkip finishes wrapping Ian's knees and checks Justina's hand for broken bones. Lucky for her, she just bruised her knuckles.

"You're good," she tells her. "Just a bruised fist."

Justina nods and Ty escorts her out. Ian gets up and leaves as well in silence, which leaves just Wolfie and Quintana.

"I'm tired, Wolfie. I don't want to be healing injuries every single day," she says, sitting down. He nods understandingly and leans back in his chair.

"I know. I'm tired too."

The door of the ward opens, revealing Jason.

"All demons are needed in the throne room," he says.

"Why?" Wolfie asks.

"I don't know. Notch didn't tell us," Jason snaps, glaring at Wolfie. The demon snarls and turns into a wolf.

"Calm down boys," Quintana orders. Jason sighs heavily.

"Sorry, I just got a shoe chucked at my head. Just, come to the throne room."

Wolfie sighs and leaves, running down the hall as a wolf. Quintana flies after him while Jason continues gathering people, and they arrive in the throne room in about six seconds flat.

"Quintana, I need you to leave," Notch says when the two of them arrive. The other demons stand around, looking angry or sad, and Wolfie fits right in.

"What do you mean I need to leave?" Quintana asks.

"Just do it," Notch insists. "Wait outside the door with your brothers."

The mudkip rolls her eyes and huffs before leaving the room. Her six brothers all wait outside, looking just as annoyed as Jason had when he arrived at the ward. Mitch and Jerome both sit against the wall, Adam and Ian stand against the opposite wall, Ty sits in the castle banisters, and Jason paces back and forth down the hallway. Adam, most of all, looks like he wants to be anywhere but there.

"Who threw a shoe at you?" Quintana asks Jason, trying to break him out of his intense focus.

"A very upset Justina. It's nothing," he replies without looking at his sister.

"Sorry about that, bro. I tried to stop her," Ty calls from the banisters.

"Mmhmm."

The mudkip looks at all of her brothers and sighs, closing her eyes. All of them are such a mess and there's nothing she can do about it, which makes her angry.

Suddenly, multiple screams are heard and white light shines under the door that leads to the throne room. Adam perks up immediately and rushes to the door.

"Notch?!" he yells, banging as hard as he can on the wooden door. He rattles the handle, but it's locked.

"What's happening?!" Jerome exclaims, trying to yank the door open.

Realization washes over Quintana and her stomach drops into her feet. She falls to her knees and Jason runs to her side.

"Sis?" he asks.

"He's changing them. All of them. At once," Quintana breathes, holding back tears. She knows how dangerous this is, even for Notch. His chances of survival are slim.

"To angels? He's changing all of them to angels at once?" Jason clarifies. Quintana nods and holds her head in her hands.

"Oh no," her brother mutters.
