Maya and Ray looked at Kai and smiled at him. They were so excited because Kai has just turned one. Maya looked at the pile of presents that the elemental masters left since they couldn't make it because of a mission. The elemental masters have became family to Maya and Ray since there parents ran away from them.

"Happy birthday to you!" Maya and Ray finishing the birthday song to Kai.

Kai giggled and played with cake which got all over his face. The parents rubbed off his face as they took a piece of the cake. Kai laughed again and clapped his hands. Kai seemed to enjoy the attention.

"I can already tell he going a mama's man." Ray said laughing and kisses her cheek.

"But he basically already has your hothead." Maya said smiling widely as she wiped a slice of cake on her husband's face.

"Yeah, he does." Ray said rubbing his face as his fingers get covered his frosting laughing, "Gosh! I'm as dirty as Kai here!"

Knock, knock. The parents heard the knocking as Maya stood to open the door. A woman stood there smiling then looked inside as her eyes landed on Kai. She had a long black hair and purplish gray eyes.

"Hi?" Maya said looking at the strange woman.

"Is it your son's birthday?" The woman asked fixing her overly purple tight dress, "Kai is his name?"

"Yeah." Maya said a bit shocked, how did this woman know? "How did you know?"

The woman just walked right past Maya, like she was invited in. The woman picked up Kai as he looked curiously into the woman's eyes. The woman smiled sweetly then thought for a moment.

"My name is Lilac." She said rocking Kai back and forth.

Ray was already in a fighting position and said, "What do you want? You came uninvited."

Quietness fell upon the room. Lilac looked straight into Ray's eyes and then looked Kai who's started to giggle breaking the quietness. Lilac stepped forward to the couple. Standing strong.

"Your son isn't who you think he is, Ray." Lilac said looking at the two parents somehow meeting both of their eyes, "I was looking for the child who was blessed or cursed, whatever it is in your opinion, from the First Spinjitzu Master. Which, it is Kai, and I must take him."

"NO!" Ray said fire shooting his arms staring angrily at Lilac then calmed down, "We will raise him! He is perfectly fine!"

Lilac sighed again and rubbed her face, disappointment? Tiredness? Who knows this woman doesn't share any emotion. Lilac set Kai down then faced the parents. Lilac took a step forward thinking about the right words to explain what Kai is.

"No he isn't." Lilac said sternly brushing her hair out of her eyes, "Kai is different, Ray and Maya, he could destroy or save the world by the snaps of his fingers. There are animals inside Kai, that can torment him and make him powerful. Kai barely has control. And if your going to raise Kai you make sure he never finds out, because if Kai finds out it will be the end of Ninjago, or the beginning, we can't take the risk. Don't blame me, just blame the prophecy."

Lilac finished her speech then handed the couple a scroll, which, was from a different world. Lilac walks out the door stubbornly as it slams behind her. At that moment, Kai looked at his parents and let out a little roar. If the parents didn't just have that encounter they would thought it was cute or he was pretending to be a lion. No, Kai had a powerful lion inside him. The scroll also said he had a wolf and a hawk in him.

The couple didn't know how to feel about this. Most of Ninjago people were scared the those three animals. And now, Kai had all three most powerful and scary animals inside him. Mays picked up Kai and tickled him.

"The lady just wanted to wish you a happy birthday, Kai." May said quietly and continued rocking Kai gently, "Her name is Lilac and you are going to need her later and soon."

Kai looked curiously at his mother as if he understood but soon he probably will. Maya looked at the scroll then at Lilac's perfect handwriting of her address and where they can contact her. Maya and Ray smiled at the paper. They folded it neatly and put it a book, which, soon will be very important.

Then Maya and Ray promised to raise Kai normally. Soon, Nya came along to and they were so happy she didn't have anything inside her. They loved each child very much. Keeping promises they made with Lilac. That Kai will never know.

Until the day comes...
