I was on my way to Yukio and Rin's dormitory for the boot camp Yukio had anounced earlier. I arrived just as the others were and we all stood in front of the weird looking dormitory.

"Good morning! Your class has arrived!" Shima grinned as everybody looked around.

"Good morning everyone" Yukio said standing at the top of the entrance stairs, Rin was sitting on them with a bored expression.

"Seriously? This thing looks like something out of a horror movie" Bon sweat dropped.

"Wow it's so creepy and ugly. Was this the best place we could find to do this?" Kamiki rolled her eyes

"Oh. Take it" she said handing Shiemi her bag.

Geez that poor girl has been acting like a maid around Kamiki.

I saw Rin glare at Kamiki and I could tell he was thinking the same thing.

"Shiemi, if you don't want to, just say so" Paku said with a worried look on her face

"Oh no, I don't mind at all. I'm just help in out a friend because that's what friends are for " Shiemi smiled

"Idiot" I whispered digging my hands inside hoodie pockets.

"Time's up. Turn your papers over and hand them in" Yukio announced and everybody groaned.

"Thank goodness Its over" Shima sighed

"That took forever" I followed

"I'm gonna go get some air..." Rin said standing up and lazily exiting the room.

"I want everyone up by six a.m. tomorrow. That will give us an hour before we start class to review our answers on the test.

"Demon". "Sadist" me and Rin said at the same time

"Paku, let's go take a bath" Kamiki said and Paku nodded

"I wanna go!" Shiemi stood up.

The three left muttering stuff about how big they hoped the bathroom was. I saw Shima smirk.

"Heh. Three girls taking a bath, together! What do you say we bust ass over there and have ourselves a peek!" he said excitedly

"HELLO! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE A MUNK SHIMA!" Bon smacked his head

"You're getting back into your bad habits again" Konekomaru groaned.

"Oh shut it. You guys are just as interested as I am" Shima smirked

"Aren't you taking a bath?" Shima asked looking at me

"Not with you in the same building, pervert" I muttered

"Excuse me, your teacher is sitting right here" Yukio glared.

"C'mon, loosten up a little. You might be our teacher but you're also a freshman just like us" Shima said patting Yukio's back. I rolled my eyes as Shima continued on trying to convince Yukio and Yukio arguing with him.

I stood up and walked in the direction the other girls previously walked through. I turned a few hallways until I saw Shiemi talking to a very pissed off Rin.

"Stop doing that! Stop acting like her errand girl!" Rin growled

"I'm not her errand girl. I'm just helping out my friend!" Shiemi yelled

"You believe that? Do you honestly think that's going on?" Rin rolled his eyes.

"I'm tired of being the one who always needs help. Always hiding behind others. I just want to be like you, and Yuki. To be strong enough to help someone else for a change! She is the first friend I've ever had in my whole life! You don't get it because you've always been strong! You've always had friends" Shiemi screamed with tears rolling down her cheeks and took off running.

Just as she was about to turn my corner I grabbed her arm.

"You really are stupid, aren't you?" I raised an eyebrow and she looked at me with wide eyes

"Why would you say that!" she sobbed

"Listen girl. I'm not the type to sugar coat things. And right now you're being an idiot" I said and she looked down at her feet.

"Do you really think being Kamiki's slave is the same thing as being her friend? Do you think that will help you become as strong as Rin and Yukio? Because you're dead wrong. You're too naïve to see that she's using you. Worst of all, you're letting her use you. I've never had friends either. But there's a difference between not having friends and being weak. Sure, being weak can make you friends. But right now making friends is making you weak. And what's the point in having friends if you can't be strong for them?" I finished and she remained silent for a while

"You're right..." she finally admitted and I smiled

"So are you going to let Kamiki make you weak?" I asked and she shook her head.

"Now that right there is being strong" I smiled.

A piercing scream was heard making both of us go wide eyed. Rin rushed towards us.

"I got this, go tell Yukio!" he said and Shiemi nodded, taking off. I followed Rin down the long hallways until we were in front of the girls bathroom.

Rin burst through the door and arrived just in time to punch the two foxes kamiki summoned, who were about to attack her. Kamiki stood there too shocked to move. I guess she was about to take a shower because she was in her underwear. He ordered Kamiki to tear the paper circles and she followed orders, making the foxes disappear.

"Woah, what's that?" I whispered reaching Rin's side.

"Rin!" Shiemi ran towards us.

"You keep the demon buisy. I'll go take care of Paku " she said

The demon took Rin and flung him to the other side of the room.

"Hey!" I screamed running towards the demon who had his hands around Rin's neck. I managed to land a kick to his jaw, making him stumble backwards. Shots were heard and Yukio appeared on the door frame. The demon escaped through the window.

"You're late" Rin growled at him

"But I still made it, didn't I? Shiemi, how's Paku?" Yukio asked

"Okay I think" Shiemi said wrapping some leaves that sprouted from the familiar she had summoned.

"You did good. Who knows what might've happened if you weren't here" Yukio said and kamiki froze.

"Paku?" Shiemi asked

"Moriyama? Thanks a lot, for saving me" Paku said opening her eyes. Emi smiled wide.

"See, you are strong" I said patting her back.

I saw Rin walking toward kamiki who was crying on the floor.

"Hey? Are you okay?" He asked

"Don't look at me! I'm so ashamed. I don't want anyone seeing me like this. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't even help the only friend I ever had. And now she hates me" she said sobbing.

Rin took off his shirt and threw it over Kamiki's head.

"Just put it on and get going" Rin said walking away.

I looked around the room and walked to the window where the demon had escaped. I peeked out but saw nothing. Just as I was about to turn around my eyes caught a glimpse of something moving. I looked up to see a silhouette of a man.

It wasn't very clear but I could tell he had green hair and blue eyes.

"See you later, Emi.." he whispered and vanished.

I stood there shocked. What had just happened? Who was that guy? How did he know my name?
