Back at her home, she was painting when her dad was going to leave.

"What's this" he asked.

"Oh, just normal stuff. Normal teenage stuff"

"Okay. Carry on"

After he left, the two continued the investigation.

"I still can't believe I lost mr. Shark's daughter"

"So let me get this straight, the cat that was kidnapped is the daughter of a great white shark who happens be a detective who's been working on Delia decott case because he was once her friend and warned you to stay away from the case, did I get that right?"

"why is your shirt all wrinkled?"

"Because my closet's 6 inches deep"

"That's not possible"

"How could-?"

"Show me"

They ran upstairs to the closet and noticed.

"A secret passageway. So this is how the intruder has been getting upstairs"

"This is nuts"

"Ned, will you get my flashlight? It's in my kit" they ran up in the basement.

"Wouldn't this be considered sleuthing?"

"Who are we kidding? I can't stop. Once I find the will and determine the identity of Lou...I'll tell my father everything. He'll understand.
I mean, how else am I gonna help Jane and Mr. Shark, It's important.Don't you think?"

"Yeah. But didn't he warn you not to interfere with the case and when he finds out that you got his daughter kidnapped, you're dad won't be happy to hear about this"

"We'll just have to stall till I can find a way to get princess back, till then we can't tell Mr. Shark yet"

She opens another passageway and climbs down in the basement.

"Hello?"

"Nancy Are you all right? Where are you?"

"I'm in the basement"

"Do you see anything?"

"I found a tunnel and I'm going in. If I'm not back in 10 minutes, something bad's happened"

"I don't think that was a joke"

She walks through a underground tunnel then she finds herself in a laundry room.

"Hi." There she meets a old lady who screams.

"A tunnel in the laundry room. What the hell is that all about?"

"John Leshing. He's a tenant in this building
He's the caretaker of the Dehlia Draycott estate. If anyone knows about the tunnel,
he does"

"That man has always given me the willies.
The drowning-kittens type. You know what I mean?"

Then at school, Nancy hands out invitations to every students to a party at her house.

Then she goes to, "Jane? It's me, Nancy. I was wondering if you and Allie wanted to come to a party"

But what she finds is a disappointment like shark says, a eviction notice...like maybe she was gone.

"Oh, my goodness. Ned, guys, your streamers look great"

Nancy was well dressed and has everything ready for her party.

Then the door bell rang and one by one guest arrived.

And while everyone was at the party, Nancy immediately calls leshing.

"Leshing, come quick!"

Ned was keeping a watch out when a red head kid tapped his shoulders.

"Excuse me...have you seen princess" it was Eddie.

Then Nancy meets leashing in the basement, "Oh, I just wanted to ask you if you knew
about the secret passageway"

"I think you got your answer"

"Are you Lou?"

"Miss Drew, I suggest you rejoin your guests and enjoy the party"

Then when she returns to the party, Ned gives her the phone.

"Hello?"

"I warned you, drop this Draycott business"

"Who is this?"

"Please, stop calling here"

"Nancy?" But it was her dad.

"Oh, hi, Dad. Where are you?"

"I'm going to be even later to your party than I said. I'm sorry, honey. Is everything all right?
Sounds a little crazy there"

"Yeah, everything's totally mellow"

"Are you sure?"

"Absolutely. Hurry home"

Then she sees Ned carrying cake, "Happy birthday, Nancy"

But just then shark crashed the party, he holds his badge up.

"Police, I want everyone out"

Everyone panicked and ran out the door, Nancy, she didn't like how angry he looked.

She gulped and her blood ran cold as she knew that he knows what happened to princess.

After everyone left he shows her a video of the explosion and princess getting hurt and kidnapped.

"I told you not to get involved and looked what happened, I asked you not to interfere with my case and you got princess involved in it, it's thanks to you my daughter got kidnapped, that is it, I'm telling your dad"

"No wait?" She stops him.

"Please just let me help you with this case please, if you let me help you with this case I promise I'll get your daughter back and I won't interfere again...it's what princess would wanted"

He was about to hesitate when he thinks about princess.

"Ugh...alright fine...but after this case, I want you and your father out of my city"

"Deal, you have my word that I won't let you down"

Just then her father came in, "What happened?"

"It was a lively party. Almost everyone had a good time" Nancy lied.

"I take it you're Nancy's father" shark shook his hand.

"That's right"

"I'm detective shark and what happened was-"

He saw how scared Nancy was...so he covered for her.

"What happened was, We responded to a complaint from a neighbor that someone broke in your home and tried to assault your daughter"

"Oh my...Nancy are you ok"

Her dad checks her, "she's fine but he got away, I like to keep a close eye on your daughter, just in case it happens again right Nancy" shark asked her.

"Yes...that's right" Nancy went with the lie.

"Mr. Mcdee I like to see your daughter tomorrow, I have some questions I need to ask her"

"Sure, okay"
