Thomas was having dinner with the city's governor: Diane foxington to discuss some business.

It was one of those fancy restaurants that requires a dress code.

As the champagne popped, "it is such an honor for the governor to join me for dinner, Ms foxington" Thomas says.

"Oh it's no trouble Thomas" Diane says.

And pouring in their glass was the grinch disguise as a waiter with a fake mustache.

He cleared the dishes as he was listening in to the conversation, the inside man.

"I heard so much about this charity even of the year" Diane says.

"Well I don't mean to brag but...it is to be the toast of society where the riches will gather together to bingle, rubbing elbows with the great"

"That is wonderful but I have to ask"

"Yes?"

"Why the charity event from what I learn since your "accident" you moved to Los Angeles to start fresh it's where you started you company but I never seen you into charity event before"

"Well Diane" Thomas had a sad frown, "on this very day marks the anniversary of my wife Camilla's death"

Then Thomas smirked, "this charity event is for her, to remind everyone that life is precious and we need to honor that life, but ever since Camilla passed away I been so very lonely longing for a new women to be my wife" he cups her hand.

"Oh" Diane was flattered.

"But Thomas there are dangerous people out there aren't you afraid someone might steal form your charity"

"Not to worry Diane, for you see I keep all my values in a safe in my office with can only be open by three things: a key-" he holds up his key card up to show her, "a remote, and my voice, eye and thumbprint scanner"

Then the grinch stopped, he had a worried look as he turns to listen in.

"You see any thief can steal a remote control and keys to unlock the safe in my office but to really open the door you need my voice recognition and my retinal scanner and thumbprint scanner any thief dare try to break in my office, the alarm system is sound off and send an notification message directly towards my phone and there I will catch thief and WHAM!" He bangs his fist causing the grinch to jump.

He gulps and sneaks away, it caught Thomas looking suspicious then he turns back to Diane.

"So anyway Diane I have nothing to fear not when I have my dozen of security guards who will lay their life for me, my hidden security cameras not to mention my office with me tight and secure especially with my escorts by my side I have nothing to fear"

"Sounds like you have everything planned"

"Yes, all except for one thing"

"What's that Thomas?"

"A date? How would you like to accompany me Diane to my charity"

"Oh this  is such an generous offer Thomas but I don't think I fit in with the rich and wealthy"

Diane was flattered, "well I-" then out of the shock, Thomas kissed her.

Then one thing lead to another, they were in his mansion, both making out in his bedroom.

Meanwhile at the bad guys hideout, everyone was relaxing, getting ready to the party which is tomorrow night but they had one obstacle in their way.

Aladdin was chatting with RJ, "so you married a princess, huh?" RJ asked.

"Yep and I live in this palace too" Al says.

"Really? That's so awesome, I guess that makes you rich huh?"

Megamind and snake were sitting on the sofa when shark webs and piranha were playing video games.

Then the grinch came in, he looked worried, "we got a problem"

Everyone muttered and when wolf heard him, he quickly wiped his eyes.

"What's wrong grinch?" Wolf faced him.

"Ok so Thomas was on a date with Diane foxington"

Everyone gasped, "the governor?" Piranha asked.

"But why would the governor go on a date with Thomas?" Gru asked.

"He asked her to be his date for the party"

"I overheard him saying that the locks on his door to the office is gonna require a eye voice and thumbprint scan, without his thumb eye and voice, the scanner will detect burglars send an alarm to his phone and we'll all be thrown to jail"

Then one by one they all started to panic.

"What?" Piranha shouts.

Everyone was confused as they muttered but grinch was suspicious.

"Because one year ago, Thomas had me arrested" everyone freezes, "he framed me for a crime I didn't do for the whole year I suffered in prison I been thinking about what that scumbag did to me, I swore that I would get back at him no matter what and here I am with the best team I ever had this isn't about one last heist this is about one last job for justice and if we get caught I will take the fall for you guys because we're not just a team we're family, now are you with me"

His inspiration speech gave everyone the courage to continue the heist even the grinch who was deeply afraid.
