Spyro the Dragon

Spyro and his father Malefor are the last of the Purple Dragons. Despite his young age, Spyro is always ready for adventure and fighting villains. He a rare purple dragon, the son of Malefor, the brother of Cynder, and leader of Team Spyro. He is said in the legends of the Ancients that is destined to bring peace to the Realms and the Artisans Dragon Kingdom, that is his home.

After committing countless heroic deeds and adventures, Spyro was chosen by Master Eon to also become a full-fledged Skylander. Impulsive and headstrong, he struggled to work in a team at first with his fellow allies and friends, but as time passed, Spyro became one of the strongest leaders in the fight against evil. He is good friends with Sparx and four fellow Skylanders, Stealth Elf, Gill Grunt, Eruptor, and Trigger Happy.

Malefor the Dragon Master

Malefor (formerly the Dark Dragon Master) is Spyro's biological father and was once a member of the Justice Society of America. Before he became evil, Malefor was an impulsive, serious, but sometimes clumsy dragon before he was corrupted by darkness. Before Spyro was born, he was a young dragon who fought alongside the heroes of the JSA against the forces of darkness. He eventually married a female dragoness who then laid an egg. Unfortunately, due to sickness, his mate died and Malefor was left with taking care of his son. But during one mission, he was poisoned by Eclipso's dark magic and became the Dark Dragon Master. The JSA, the Dragon Elders, and Dragon Aspects had no choice but to lock him up in a different realm. Years later, Malefor broke free and began to cause chaos. Thanks to Spyro and the JL, they were able to restore Malefor back to the dragon he once was. Now he does what he can as a hero and a loving father.

Dragon Isles

Spyro was now flying around the Dragon Isles as he enjoyed his time at the big dragon games. He was also excited because today was his birthday. He heads home as he then saw his father, Malefor waiting for him on the porch of their home.

"Hey dad!" Spyro said.

"Spyro! Where were you? I was worried for you." Malefor said.

"Dad, I was fine. I was just at the dragon games with my friends." Spyro said.

"You still should've told me where you'd be." Malefor said.

"Sorry dad." Spyro said.

"Did you at least participate in your daily lessons?" Malefor asked.

"Yes dad... I did." Spyro groaned.

With his birth father back, Malefor made sure Spyro got educated aside from Skylanders Academy.

Patience

Haru: The Spring Dragon

Spyro was being taught on the life lessons by Haru the Spring Dragon. Patience was one of the things Spyro struggled with

"How much longer do I have to watch this?" Spyro whined.

"Patience is a part of life. Everything has a time to fully grow and to become something beautiful." Haru explained as he watered the plant a bit.

Spyro sighed as he continued to watch the little plant in the ground as he saw it flourished in the garden.

Tradition

Cain: The Summer Dragon

Spyro was taking lessons from Cain the Summer Dragon about traditions from their cultures and others from all around the world. Cain thought it would be interesting and fun for him. Spyro found it a little ridiculous, utterly ridiculous at some of the traditions.

"That's it Spyro! Dance to the rhythm of the beat." Cain said beating the drum as he and Spyro dance.

Knowledge

Otto: The Autumn Dragon

Spyro then took some history and science lessons from Otto the Autumn Dragon. When being with him, there's nothing he doesn't want Spyro not learn about.

"And don't forget to read volume 3 of Dragon Aspects' magic." Otto said as he brings a stack of books to Spyro.

"Oh why! Don't I have enough to read?" Spyro said as he takes notes.

"One can never have too much knowledge." Otto said as he began to his lesson.

Elegance

Noel: The Winter Dragon

Spyro was learning having a difficult time with Noel the Winter Dragon as he was cold as ice... literally. Noel was the dragon who tried to be perfect as possible. Elegant, but can get mad when someone messes him up or makes a mess of what he's doing or teaching.

"Ouch!" Spyro whined as he rubs his claw.

"Wrong spoon! Try again!" Noel said disappointed.

"Sorry." Spyro whines as he tried again only to be smacked again.

"It's torture being with Noel." Spyro said.

"I know, I was around your age when he was my teacher. Now come." Malefor said as he flew off.

Spyro and Malefor began to fly all around the area as they see the beautiful landscape from the sky. They then soon landed on a hill as they saw the beautiful landscape of the Dragon Isles.

"Whoa..." Spyro said amazed by the view.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Malefor said.

"Yeah... it is." Spyro said not taking his eyes off the landscape.

"I'm sorry if I've been overprotective about your safety, son." Malefor said.

"It's okay dad... I understand you just want me safe." Spyro said to his father.

"I know you're not a hatchling anymore but you're still a kid. I hate that wasn't there to see you grow up and raise you. Some father I turned out to be." Malefor said in desperation.

"It's okay dad. I understand now what happened to you. At first, I was mad and upset that you weren't there for me throughout my life. But now hearing the full true story of what really happened to you, I'm not mad anymore. I'm just glad you're back in my life." Spyro said hugging his dad.

Malefor was shocked but hugs back as happy tears pour down his cheeks.

"Thanks son. Now let's head back. Race ya!" Malefor chuckled as he took off.

"Hey no fair!" Spyro said as he flies after his dad.

They fly around the night as they head into the Dragon Temple only to see it dark inside.

"Hey! Where's the light?" Spyro asked.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPYRO!!!!" All the dragons shout in joy at the birthday dragon as the lights were turned on.

Spyro was shocked but happy from the surprise as he saw his father, friends and family remembered it.

"Aww, thanks guys." Spyro said.

"Here, open my gift first." Malefor said giving his son a big present. Spyro opens it to see it was a suit for him. Gold lining with chrome purple leather.

"I love it dad!!! Thank you so much!!!" Spyro said as he hugged his dad.

"Ha ha! You're welcome, my son... my beloved son." Malefor smiled as he embraced the hug.
