Knuckles was carrying Sonic who was in a daze.....then took a rest at a bus station.....Knuckles thought, this isn't good if we need to find a place to rest....Sonic looks like he's been buried alive..... then his cell rang and then he said as he answered it, yeah?.....it was Tails who was in panic as Manic as he said, WHAT THE HECK KNUCKLES!? Knuckles said in a panic tone, look Tails I can explain.... Manic who was in the background said, THERES NO NEED THERE WAS A NEWS REPORT SAYING THAT YOU WERE BUSTING  MY BROTHER OUTTA THE LOONEY-BIN!! WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING?! Knuckles said, what other choice did I have Manic? There was no way in hell Sonic could murder Shadow.....you both know that...more importantly how the hell did they know it was me? Tails answered, there were a couple of witnesses that caught a glimpse of you while you were busting Sonic out.....one of them was Rouge's boyfriend....who was angered that her throat was slashed during her way home.....& another thing Shawn disappeared..... Knuckles was about to tell him something but Manic said, don't get us wrong we believe Sonics not capable of this sorta thing but....listen we need to know is Sonic okay?....please tell us he's alright.... Knuckles said as he held him tight, well he's alive but he's far from alright....the asylum did a number on him so it's going to be a week or a month until he's recovered.....we don't have anywhere else to rest......right now we're resting at a bus station nearby...Tails and Manic were in shock and horror at the same time but thought of a way then Manic claimed, well dude your lucky that Tails and I will book ya both to an apartment and J.J is left in charge of the place until his boss gets back from vacation.....but listen.....until you clear our brothers name and find out what really happened to Shadow and Rouge....you two need to lay low for a while.....they hung up as he sees Sonic bleeding in his arms....but that's when Knuckles made it to the apartment that Tails and Manic booked them in.....J.J. who waited on the two gave him the key and said, your lucky business is slow today as ever.....the boss has been gone for a while and I don't know what he was thinking about leaving me in charge......oh yeah I don't know what happened to Sonic but if I were you I go in the room right now and treat his injuries right now...with that Knuckles rushed to their apartment and laid Sonic down and started to treat his injuries....
