"Did you hear that?" the Sun asked. He and Vega both had their ears perked, trying to figure out where the sound had come from. At this point, they could now hear what could only be described as raspy breathing and a horrible gurgling sound. Angling her ears to the right, Vega meowed, "It's coming from over those hills."

"Come on, let's go!" the Sun exclaimed. He raced across the powdery white stardust that blanketed the ground. Vega followed close behind. The pair bounded over the hills. They were getting closer to the source of the noises. They could hear it. At last they reached the top of the fifth and final hill, looking out over an old dirt road. Way off into the distance, they could see the faint outline of an asteroid rolling away.

"Sun, look," Vega piped up. Pointing at the old dirt road, she whispered, "There's someone down there." Squinting, the Sun saw too. There was a small shape laying by the road, trembling in the gathering stardust. Padding closer, the celebrity star cat murmured, "I think it's a planet kitten."

"Ice giant by the looks of it," Vega added. The two star cats slowly approached the ice giant planet kitten. As they got closer, the Sun could see a few more details. The kitten had dark blue fur with a light blue tipped tail. He had tufted ears, looked scruffy and he was very skinny. And he was shaking badly. "You okay kid?" he asked, tapping the kitten on the shoulder.

That's when he saw the blood.

"Vega! Call the hospital!" the Sun shouted, his hackles raising. Her eyes round with shock, Vega didn't need to be told twice. Quickly whipping out her satellite, she dialed the emergency number. The Sun, meanwhile, stayed with the planet kitten. Pressing his paw against the open wound in the kid's throat to stop the blood flow, he looked down. The planet kitten gasped for air, blood trickling out of his mouth. "It's okay kid, you're safe now," the Sun whispered reassuringly, "Everything is going to be okay."

"An ambulance is on the way," Vega informed the Sun, returning to his side. Trembling with fear, she rasped, "Who would do this to a child? He's probably ten years old." Glancing down at the ice giant planet kitten, the Sun noticed that one of the kitten's paws was soaked in blood and the claws were unsheathed. Seeing it too, Vega whimpered, "Do you think..."

"I don't know," the Sun replied before adding, "I'm gonna call my kids"

"Chug chug chug!" a bunch of moon cats cheered. Throwing down an empty three gallon jug of milk, Uranus raised his paws in the air triumphantly. The crowd applauded him. Smiling, Uranus gave them a thumbs up before passing out. Nearby, Mercury and Mars whipped out black markers.

"Earth, Sun's calling," Venus pointed out, seeing that she was getting a call on her satellite. Earth lowered the volume and motioned for everyone to quiet down. With the house now silent, Venus answered her satellite and meowed, "Hi, yeah we're okay- wait, what? Are you alright? Yeah, I'll tell everyone. And- wait, you're sending who? Okay, night." Ending the call, she cried, "The Sun is sending Polaris over to watch over us. In other words..."

"Everyone SCATTER!" Earth yowled at the top of her lungs. Everyone quickly rushed out of the house while the planet kittens rushed to get ready for bed. Uranus ran upstairs, unaware of the black mustache drawn on his face.
