I watched as Naoki smirked and pointed at the screen. "Gentlemen, the next memory awaits!"

"Why does the author keep saying that even though the reader already knows?" Valt asked, while titling his head.

We all facepalmed and eyed the screen .

[ Lui is sleeping on a bed in what appears to be his new room. He's on the bed, looking snuggled in and cozy.

But having one hurtful flashback.

The screen flashed the city of Astila, located about 300 miles from Beigoma and Masadora, Japan.

Astilan winters are long and cold, with below-freezing average temperature, and an extraordinary amount of snowfall.

And that's how Lui loved it.

The soon-to-be champion visited in the frigid city with his mother, Hidemi Shirasagi, and stayed in a small, but quaint motel.

She was there to do her job as an environmental scientist, whom worked to find a solution to the rapid shark deaths caused by freezing.

Lui enjoyed accompanying his mother at her job, even if it worried her co-workers that such temperatures would hurt a child's health.

One fateful day, Lui went with his mom's wildlife team to the coldest part in the Akadi Sea. They all went on a boat out in the middle of nowhere to investigate an endangered species of sharks.

Lui had an idea that lit him up. "Mommy, can I get a picshure of the sharkies in the water?"

She laughed and nodded. "Of course, my little sharkie."

"Ms. Shirasagi, please be careful!" Shouted one of his friends. His mom was going to dive into the water to take some pictures of the conditions under all the ice.

Lui watched as his mother submerged under the water. It wasn't long till she remained underwater and did not reappear.

The whole crew onboard began shouting to retrieve her and all sorts of things. Amongst the commotion, Lui stood there with his coat frozen in fear.

His mom wouldn't come back. He had a feeling it was true. It was his fault for asking for that stupid picture.]

Wait, I thought. Lui's mother is dead..? Is that why he's so bitter to everyone and anyone?

But why would he blame himself, it wasn't his fault she dived into the ocean in the  first place, yet he feels responsible.

My eyes felt wet and when I went to touch it I felt a tear. Am I actually crying for Lui?

I noticed Wakiya looking at me with concern, but he shakes his head and continued watching as the dream changed scenes on the screen.

[A little Lui stands before a orphanage still wearing his black funeral clothes. His playful violet eyes have lost their sparkle and now appear to be dark, fierce, and menacing.

Lui stands all alone with a suitcase as a woman with black hair and dark purple eyes leads him inside and to a room.]

Why does she look so familiar?  I thought

["Sweetie, you'll be living here until further notice, okay?"

She looks at him with a strained smile for sympathy. "Do you have any relatives, possibly? How about your dad?"

Lui stood and kicked the lady in the stomach as she doubled over. "NO, NOT HIM!"

His eyes widened, having realized what he's done. Lui ran and hugged her, "I-I'm sorry, miss, I didn't mean to! It's just my da-"

"It's okay, sweetheart. I understand."]

Shu nodded. "I get it, I think Lui is still holding onto hope that he can be someone nice and caring, even if violence is seeping in."

[The time passes by and each day Lui mourns his mother's death, weeping on in his bed and whispering to himself words of hope.

The woman opened the door and said, "Lui dear, someone is here to see you."

The image changed to the woman meeting with the person.

"It's nice to meet you, Theodore."

He smiled. "Pleased to meet you as well, madam."

"Oh please, " she chuckled. "Call me Chiharu."]

"TIME-OUT!"

Valt yelled as his eyes widened with shock and he whispered,

"Mom?!"

Question: Is adding Theodore as Lui's future guardian and Valt's mom as one of the orphanage's staff too much? Aslo, this chaoter was the one I was going to use for Yandere-insane-love's 2nd contest, so if I still can it's here, unless it's too late then I understand ^-^
