I can't believe I feel this way.

Those stupid kids didn't know Lui was going to become one of the most powerful bladers out there, yet they teased him.

But still, Lui didn't crack under the pressure of those older kids! He intimidated them, and single-handedly described how Newton's laws tie into BeyBlade!

Wait, am I..feeling overprotective? Or fascinated? What is wrong with me?!

I curled my hands thinking about it, but then I noticed everyone was staring at me. Ken asked, "What's wrong, albino man?"

"Nothing," I sighed. "It's just-"

My mind raced to come up with a good, believable excuse.

"-that's how Lui became so powerful!"

They all exhaled in relief. Valt's eyes tinted with curiousity.

"What do you mean, Shu?"

Wait, what did I mean? I thought about, and it was true. All I did was practice, day and night, but Lui indulged himself in the game!

"Nothing, just a little theory of mine," I replied flatly.

Little theory? I thought I was the smart one of the Supreme 4, but it turns out it's Lui?

Valt smiled. "There's nothing to worry about, Shu! Just remember, you're a BeyBlade prodigy!"

I smiled at him.

The screen flashed white as what I assumed was another memory played.

Wakiya growled. "I swear if you say anything Va-"

"Hey readers, how are you? Remember that those weird, robotic parentheses mean memories!"

"Valt Aoi, stop breaking the fourth wall already!"

[A young man of about his twenties showed on the screen holding little Lui's hand. He had green blue eyes that appeared as sharp and broken as glass, and quite interesting hair that went from dark brown red, to ginger blond, to white.

He stood in front of a woman in a suit who keeled down to Lui and said, "Dear, you'll be living with this man for a bit, alright?"

Lui looked at the man and hid behind him, as if afraid of his new guardian. The man nodded at the woman and said, "Come along now, boy.]

That voice.. no, it couldn't be.

I stood up and yelled as I threw my plastic chair at the screen in a rage.

Everyone stood up with bewilderment. Wakiya shouted, "What is your problem?!"

I can't believe he actually took care of Lui. How is this even possible..?

Naoki raised an eyebrow. "Do you have something to say, Shu?"

"NO! WHY IS HE WITH HIM?!"

[The woman said goodbye to the man as him and Lui walked away from the orphanage.

After a while, the two arrived at a mansion,  where Lui looked up at the mysterious adult and asked, "Excuse me, sir, what's your name?"

He smiled and said, "My name? Why, it's-"

Lui nodded, anticipating for more.

"- Theodore Glass."]

Question: What are your thoughts on Theodore Glass being Lui's childhood guardian? Why did he pick Lui, out of all the other children, from the orphanage?
