"Lilypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the very cost of your life?" Darkstar began. "I do." "Then you are now a warrior of ShadowClan. I name you Lilybreeze," Darkstar finished. Then he looked at Ravenpaw and me. "Ravenpaw, step forward. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the very cost of your life?" "I do." Then from this day forward you will be known as Ravenflight. May StarClan honor you. And lastly, Ivypaw. Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the very cost of your life?" I took a shuddering breath. "I do." "Then from this day until you die you shall be known as Ivylight. Welcome to ShadowClan," my leader announced. I, Ivylight, was bursting with pride. Even though I always thought I would be named Ivyleaf, Ivylight was much more cooler. "Lilybreeze! Ravenflight! Ivylight!" My clanmates continued to cheer for my sisters and me. Then, a huge blast of icy blue light wiped over our heads, clean across the sky. Several cats began to yowl in horror, and even a few unsheathed their claws. Lilybreeze showed her needle sharp teeth as she looked up into the sky with horror. "Don't panic!" Darkstar yowled. "I'm sure it's nothing! If it is, StarClan will send a message." Gradually, chaos began to die down. "Alright, our three new warriors will now rest vigil," Darkstar mewed. Lilybreeze, Ravenflight, and I all nodded as we curled up on the bare ground.
      "Ivylight," a voice mewed. I opened my eyes and saw a starry cat staring over me. I sprang to my feet and stared. "Welcome, Ivylight. I am only here to tell you a warning. I assume you have hear nursery stories of the legendary Jayfrost?" the cat said. "No, I haven't." "You haven't? Well I must explain the tale of this terrible cat. You see, countable moons ago, there was a cat named Jayfrost. He was a terrible cat, terrible indeed. He was a reckless coward, on the path of ambition. He took many cats here before it was their time. I was one of them. He was banished by StarClan to the Dark Forest far beyond the time of his fate, but now, he has grown strong, taking the strength of all the leaders of the Dark Forest, and has broken into your realm. You must warn your clan! I'm so sorry, Ivylight, StarClan could not prevent this terrible tragedy. Please, Ivylight, please warn your clan!" the starry warrior said. "What is your name?" I stammered. "I am Applefall, the former medicine cat of ShadowClan. Will you tell your clan about Jayfrost?" Applefall informed impatiently. "Yes." "That's all I needed to know. I will see you again, Ivylight." Then, the dream was gone.
