Y/N pov.

It's been 9 whole days since Rias visited my house. It was pretty boring with nothing to do. There was a 10 day vacation for school. I could only guess that it was because of the Rating game between Rias and Riser. I've been doing some training since break started, but doing it for so long is getting old. Right now it's late and I couldn't sleep so I decided to watch some TV. That wasn't helping me either so I got a hoodie on and went for a late night run. As I was running I was thinking about the rating game. There was no way Rias could defeat Riser. Even though she was given ten days here peerage could barely produce enough power to go up against me without me sacred gear. It was kind of sad to be honest.

Y/N: They don't stand a chance.

Brachy: The do have Ddraig.

Y/N: Yeah, but Isssei doesn't have nearly enough strength to fully awaken him. The only way they could win is if they cheat.

Brachy: So what will they need to do?

Y/N: Be careful, plan thoroughly, and hope that it's enough.

After a few more minutes my phone went off. It was an unknown number. Curiosity got the best of me and I answered it.

Y/N: Hello?

???: [Y/N?]

Y/N: Who is this?

???: [It's me, Rias.]

Y/N: How did you get my number?

Rias: [Sona.]

Y/N: Oh. What's wrong? You sound upset?

Rias: [....]

Y/N: Rias?

Rias: [Do you think we'll win tomorrow?]

Y/N: Do you want me to lie or do you want me to be honest?

Rias: [I want you to tell me what you think?]

I looked up to the sky and saw the full moon. I smiled and thought pulled my hood down.

Y/N: Rias Gremory. You are spoiled, self centered, overconfident, and ignorant to your own flaws, but you are not stupid. I think that you'll do amazing tomorrow, and everyone watching will be astounded by how far you and your peerage have come.

I might not have seen it, but I had a feeling that she was smiling on the other end of the call.

Rias: [Thank you Y/N. Really.]

Y/N: Your welcome. Hey, after all of this is over we should hang out. A post fight meal is always nice to have.

Rias: [You mean like a date? I thought you were married Y/N?]

Y/N: You know what I mean. With everyone.

Rias: [Hehe. I know. That sounds nice.]

Y/N: Great. I'll see after the game then.

Rias: [Yeah. See you then.]

After she hung up, my smile faded and and I looked down.

Y/N: I'm so sorry Rias, but for this plan to work-

You have to lose.

Timeskip 3rd Pov.

The rating game just ended and Rias is crying above a beaten Issei. It was going well for her peerage at first, but as Y/n stated the night before her peerage was just too weak. As Riser was walking away he looked over shoulder and saw Y/N nod at him. Once Riser disappeared Y/N walked away from the balcony and went home. Once he got there he saw Riser, Ravel along with there parents.

Lady Phenex: It's good to see you again Y/N.

Lord Phenex: As well as you Lord Brachydios.

Y/N: The pleasure is ours. Now let's get this meeting started.

Y/N sat down on the couch as everyone was serious.

Y/N: As we all know, the elder dragons have started disappearing from the world. However recently there's been a surge of Dragon Blight in the underworld. More specifically in the Gremory territory. It is unknown which Elder Dragon is there, but there is one in the area.

Riser: I've sent my familiar to the manor and discovered a hidden room underneath the study.

Ravel: I asked some devils that are connected to the Gremory family and they've said the Sirzechs has been acting strange for a while. When I approached Lord Bael he said he hasn't noticed any changes and that it wasn't any of my business. He acted very protective of the subject.

Lord Phenex: My wife and I have talked with Lady and Lord Gremory about any changes. They genuinely had no idea what we were talking about.

Lady Phenex: I asked Grayfia and she seemed confused because she saw a change in her husband, but didn't think anything of it.

Riser: If Sirzechs does have an Elder Dragon in his possession he may be the greatest threat to the supernatural.

Y/N: This makes things a bit easier.

Ravel: How so?

Y/N: If Sirzechs and Lord Bael are the only ones that know about it then that means they're probably the only ones that have any of the Dragon Blight.

Lord Phenex: So what should we do next?

Y/N: Proceed with the wedding. Sirzechs will most likely go to the Red Dragon Emperor to stop it, and since he isn't string enough to beat you he'll probably give up a part of himself for power.

Riser: Will it be enough to stop it though?

Y/N: Maybe. I wouldn't put it past him if he ends up cheating.

Lady Phenex: You don't mean-

Y/N: It's safe to assume that he'll use holy artifacts when fighting you.

Ravel: He can't do that!

Y/N: It's not a matter if can or can't, but whether  or not Sirzechs calls him out on it or lets it happen. Riser, if he does challenge you call me and let me handle it. I'll put him in his place. While you and Ravel are at the party Lady and Lord Phenex will continue the investigation.

Lord Phenx: We can do that.

Riser: It would also be a great way to show the underworld the strongest Sacred Gear user.

Y/N: I'm strong, but not the strongest. Not yet at least.

Ravel: Are you sure this'll work? 

Y/N: It has to. 

Ravel: Ok.

Ravel looked down. She still seemed worried about the plan that they were discussing. More specifically the part about her brother being challenged. Y/N then put his hand on her head which made her look up. Y/n gently smiled at her.

Y/N: Don't worry. I won't let anything happen to you, Riser, or your parents. I promise.

Ravel: Ok. I trust you Y/N.

Y/N: If there's nothing else to discuss then I'll see you all later today.

Riser and Ravel left immediately while Lady Phenex nodded at Lord Phenex as he stood up and left soon after. Y/N looked at Lady Phenex in confusion.

Y/N: Is there something wrong Mrs. Phenex?

Mrs. Phenex: I would like to discuss something with you involving your engagement.

Y/N: Oh. Did you and your family not get invitations?

Mrs. Phenex: No. We have invitations. I wanted to discuss something else.

Y/N: What would it be?

Mrs. Phenex: It's Ravel.

Y/N: Is something wrong with her?

Mrs. Phenex: No. Nothing's wrong. Quite the opposite. She's been doing amazing lately.

Y/N: So then what's the problem?

Mrs. Phenex: It would seem that my little Ravel has developed a crush.

Y/N: Oh, that. Yeah. I've known for a while now. It's cute how she tries to hide it.

Mrs. Phenex: Wait. You knew?

Y/N: Yeah. What do you think I am. Some anime protagonist?

Mrs. Phenex: Well since you're engaged are you alright with this?

Y/N: Lady Phenex, I love my fiancé. I know what it means to be in love, but I just don't want to try Polygamy. Ravel is a bright and wonderful girl. I want her to find someone like me. I'm sorry, but I won't enter a relationship with your daughter I want her to be happy. She is one of my dear students. I'll let her know before my wedding. Once again, I'm sorry.

Mrs. Phenex: There's no need to apologize. It eases my heart knowing that you still care for her well being. Thank you Y/N. Let me know if there's anything myself or my family can do to repay you and your family.

Y/N: I'm sure I'll think of something. Have a wonderful evening Mrs. Phenex.

Mrs. Phenex: And you as well Y/N.

With that she left through a magic circle. Y/n took a deep breath and looked up at the ceiling.

Y/N: Alright. Better get ready. Brachy, how should we handle this? Go loud or quiet.

Brachy: Let's go loud. I can't wait to but that worthless red dragon in his place.

Y/N: Welp, better get into some proper clothes.

Y/N went upstairs to his room while his parents were just sitting at the kitchen who were watching the whole thing.

D/N: So what do we do?

M/N: We wait.

D/N: For what exactly?

M/N: The honeymoon.

D/N: Honey, I love you, but sometime I question your sanity.

M/N: Don't worry dear. It'll all make sense. You just need to wait.

D/N: (You haven't changed at all since when we first met.)

Meanwhile in the underworld Sirzechs is seen alone in his study with his head in his hands. Grayfia soon entered and hade a straight look on her face, but on the inside she was also upset about Rias' defeat.

Grayfia: Riser Phenex has sent us an invitation to his victory party. Many other nobles have been invited as well.

Sirzechs: Lovely.

Grayfia: It's in the form of a summoning tag.

Sirzechs lifted his head and had a slight smirk on his face after hearing that.

Sirzechs: I think that Hyoudou boy would be better suited to have such an invitation. Would you be a dear and hand it over to him. After all we know the way to the Phenex territory.

Grayfia: Understood.

Once Grayfia left Sirzechs got up from his desk and went over to a Portrait of him with his wife and son. He lifted his hand in front of it as a magic circle appeared and a door appeared in place of the portrait. He went through it and proceeded to go downstairs. As he was going downstairs there were faint lights that illuminated his path. In the distance was a faint growl. Once he reached the bottom there were two glowing red eyes looking at him.

Sirzechs: I understand that you're upset, but you have the chance to help me prosper. You have such a large quantity of power that is yet to be used for the greater good. I want you to know that I don't hold any grudge against you or your kind. I do what I must for the sake of survival.

Sirzechs places his hand on the beasts' face as red sparks started to come from the monster and started to flow into Sirzechs. The beast roared in pain as it struggled to move away or try and harm him, but it was being held down by some restraints. After a few minutes the beast went quiet and dropped and started to breathe heavily. Sirzechs then took his hand off of the beast and walked away while the monster just glared at him. With the last of it's strength it stood up and roared with all of its strength.
