❝Anniversary Ball ❞

B A C K G R O U N D

AFTER YEARS of the family not celebrating, the anniversary ball became one of the first planned tasks. It was set to take place on December 10th, in honour of the King and Queen's anniversary. Each resident of the palace would attend it as a guest, even the servants wouldn't have to work. Well, except for the guards, of course.

IT WOULD start at nine o'clock sharp that night, the girls would all enter at the same time, escorted by their maids, even if they weren't "on the clock" for the evening. They would enter to see the royal siblings, but no sign of their parents. Throughout the evening, the siblings would ignore comments about it, claiming that their parents changed their minds last minute and went to celebrate on their own.

THE ONLY thing that no one had really noticed when the entered, though, was how strict the words "everyone in the palace must attend were". The doors of the ballroom would be locked five minutes after nine and no one would be allowed to leave until after midnight.

• requirements for this are that you need to at least have started on the second date of the purple moon. if you haven't, don't worry, a majority of you are almost there. (this applies only to Selected, foreign princes and princesses are another story)

• it has been three days since the riot, and the Selected have been in the palace for about two weeks.

• the theme of the ball is black and white.

• one family member/friend of each selected has been invited. your character has to have invited someone who showed, but you do not have to roleplay as them if you do not wish to.

• the selected are not aware that one of the guests is a witch. only if they are specifically told will they know.

• the king and queen are not present for this event.

• your character does have to be on time for this event. i get that them bring late would add drama, but then i'd have to let a lot of others who wanted their characters to be late do that too. therefore, i just think that it would be too chaotic. if you're later joining in, just say that your character was off to the side.
