Author's notes: I've finally decided to post this story after writing for almost a year and writing over 100 pages keep in mind though this is merely a product of fiction I've written in love for the show Steven universe, I've tried to keep the characters in character although I will admit I can't deem if their actions are in character seeing as beliefs aren't concrete and characters are flexible
, and yes I know it's short, but I have a habit of writing large on paper, so I based each chapter on a page.

An endless starry sky surrounded Beach city, countless stars glistened, two figures laid on the beach staring up at the star, taking in the breathtaking sight above them, taking in its beauty.

On the Beach

“The sky is so pretty tonight.” Steven said stunned by it, Connie herself was always entranced by the night sky, her father would often bring her out into some wide open fields, setting up a telescope for his daughter to gaze at the stars above, though most of the time they just sat together stargazing, Connie was snapped out of her nostalgia by a quick streak of light crossing the sky “Wooooo! A shooting star!” Steven yelled jumping to his feet with childlike enthusiasm “What did you wish for Connie?” Steven asked looking down at her “I'm not sure. What did you wish for?” Connie asked looking up at an energetic Steven, he blushed before quietly saying “Cookie cat.” “Isn't that your favorite ice cream?” Connie said with a look of bewilderment on her face “Yeah.” Steven said rubbing the back of his neck, the blush still evident on his face “So what did you wish for?” Steven asked again trying to get Connie to forget what he just said Connie hearing this was brought back to her childhood, as she sat alone in a grassy field making a wish, after seeing a shooting star, feeling all alone in this single moment, she wished for a friend “Connie!” Steven yelled in her face, breaking her out of her trance, and scaring her “What was your wish.” Steven asked again with a childish smile, looking at him she smiled saying “It already came true.” Connie then got to her feet, yawning she suggested going back inside the house, so they could go to bed.

Author's Endnotes: I've been told that asking people to vote and follow is a viable tactic to attain better numbers, so for those who are enjoying my work vote, follow and share this story.
