Author's notes: I sit here writing this as I'm listening to Queen's "Jealousy", when I wish to get into Pearl's character I listen to it a few times, the song compliments her character perfectly and builds upon the sadness, Pearl keeps locked up in her love of Rose, another song I frequently listen to is Willam Bolcom's Graceful ghost rag, a piece recommended by Rebecca Sugar herself that fits Steven Universe's world perfectly, when ever I listen to it I think of the Graceful movements of Pearl herself and what see said about the dances of the leaves, you know writing this I just thought why not tell you guys of a few songs I listen to as I write, they won't fit the story but should be enjoyable to the ear, so yeah I'll try and post a song with every chapter. “Oh man, Garnet's going to be mad.” Amethyst said after a failed attempt to find Garnet's axe, Amethyst had her head hung low as she walked back through the temple door expecting to be scolded “Sorry Garnet, I couldn't find your axe.” Amethyst said in a regretful tone, her head still hung low in shame “Don't worry about it.” Garnet said brushing off the knowledge that her axe was lost amongst Amethyst's junk piles, this was not what Amethyst was expecting, she was expecting to be scolded, this surprise caused Amethyst to look up abruptly to see Garnet standing there, looking out the window, focused on what Amethyst could only assume was that mysterious man, Amethyst walked over to the window only to see what see never expected to see Pearl walking up to the stranger “What's Pearl doing?!” Amethyst yelled out in surprise, Amethyst spun quickly on her heel to glare at Garnet who stood staring silently “You let her go out there alone?!” Amethyst yelled in outrage staring at Garnet angerly, Amethyst sat there expecting a reaction out of Garnet, Garnet just stood there eyes focused on the stranger “Forget this, I'm going to help Pearl!” Amethyst yelled, she made a mad dash for the door, swinging it open quickly before being stopped as Garnet's hand firmly grasped Amethyst's shoulder “Pearl wants us to sit here and be her back up if anything goes wrong.” Garnet said sternly her grip getting slightly tighter “Why would you send her out there?” Amethyst asked looking over her shoulder at Garnet venomously, “I didn't, she went out there on her own.” Garnet tried reasoning, eyes softening as she realized just how much she cared for Pearl, Amethyst's eyes softened before she asked for forgiveness, Garnet was quick to forgive Amethyst, Amethyst followed Garnet back inside taking her spot beside her, both sets of eyes were resting solely on the stranger, Garnet took a step back from the window slowly stretched out, a few pops could be heard from a multitude of joints as she prepared herself for battle.
