Your POV:

I turned around sharply, my breath catching in my throat. There, Aspen stood before me. His hair was messy and stuck to his forehead, which was covered in a thin layer of sweat. His eyes were wide with panic, and he bit his lip harshly.

His eyes flickered to the black feather resting on the table. He swooped it up in one of his hands, and put it in his pocket. "Y/N, we have to go," Aspen whispered. His eyes were glossy, and I could see the pools of water collecting in them in the dim lighting.

"Why are you here?" I questioned.

"They found you," he said between his teeth. He grabbed my wrist, pulling me through the back door, which was mysteriously already opened, with a concerned look on his face.

"What do you mean?" I asked urgently.

"Come on. We don't have much time." Aspen's grip on my wrist tightened as I struggled to get away from him.

"Let go of me!" I shouted.

Aspen pulled me around the corner of my house sharply, holding his free hand over my mouth, shushing me. "Did you have that dream last night?" He questioned, careful to keep his voice down.

He moved the hand off of my mouth to let me speak. "What the h*ll, Aspen?!?!"

"Did. You. Have. That. Dream. Last. Night?" He questioned again.

"What dream? What are you doing here? Where's Travis?"

"You saw her, didn't you? You saw that angel with white wings, burned and covered in blood?" He asked.

"How did you-"

"-We don't have time for you to ask questions. Did you see the black feather on your table?"

"Yes, but wh-"

"-This isn't good. They'll be here soon."

"Can you please just tell me what's going on?"

"No, not yet. I can't until I figure all of this out. I just don't get how they found you."

"Who found me?"

"The council. Christopher found you over three years ago, when you first lost-" Aspen hesitated. "Never mind."

"The council?"

"You'll have answers soon. I'm afraid that we have to go soon. Since the council has found you, the Nether allegiance has probably found you too. It's only a matter of time."

"Aspen, are you high?"

"No. You were though, when you had your..." He trailed off. "I hate not being able to tell you things. I just wish everything would go back to normal."

"Normal? This is normal, Aspen. You're scaring me."

Aspen looked down, tears filling his bright blue eyes. In one swift movement, Aspen wrapped his arms around me in an embrace, sobbing into my shoulder.

"A-Aspen...?" I mumbled softly. I hugged him back, rubbing his back up and down, trying to comfort him, even though I had no idea why he was so upset.

"I-I'm s-scared t-too," he choked out. His tears were wetting the cloth on my shoulder, but I didn't care.

I was speechless. I didn't know what to say or to do at that point. I didn't know what was going on, or where to go.

"I miss y-you..." He whispered, hugging me tighter.

"What do you mean, Aspen? I'm right here..."

Aspen pulled away, looking in the distant. He was silent. He bit his bottom lip harshly, to the point that I thought it might bleed. I could tell that he was having a hard time not telling me what was going on.

Aspen shook his thoughts away. "Do you trust me? Will you come with me?" He asked.

I nodded. "Of course, Aspen. You're my brother."

Aspen gave me a sad smile as he continued to lead me around the corner of the house, to a black SUV parked outside. He looked paranoid as he unlocked the car frantically with shaking hands. His eyes looked around, jumping to different areas whenever there was the slightest noise, or smallest movement in the bushes.
