"Where the hell are the new guys at?" Commissioner Sanada yelled from his office, his patience had run out for the three men, now late for their initial briefing. The transfers were part of an international exchange program to learn how other police agencies in Asia worked and to gain experience. This opportunity brought them to Tokyo, Japan.

Two of the three hailed from mainland China, the other from Korea. The men, being fluent in Japanese and English, looked forward to the opportunity of not only another culture but working with a new Commissioner.

But now they were late after spending the previous night getting acquainted over food and drinks. Lots of drinks. They arrived at the floor and could hear the Commissioner yelling from the hallway.

"Shit, are you guys ready?" Inspector Wang turned and asked the other two.

"Let's get this over with," Zhan replied as Seo shook his head in agreement.

As the group walked onto the floor, the Commissioner spotted them. "Get your asses in my office now! You're fucking late!"

The three made their way past the other officers, like little kids headed to the principal's office for detention. Once inside, they gently shut the door and stood in front of his desk. Commissioner Sanada sat there and glared at them.

"Names?" He barked the single-worded question at them.

"Sergeant Wang Yibo, Sir."

"Sergeant Xiao Zhan, Sir."

"Sergeant Seo Kang-Joon, Sir."

"Have a seat." Commissioner Sanada made a quick call, in a few minutes another man entered the office. He was tall with striking features and well dressed.

"This is Chief Inspector Lee, he's the main contact for the case you're assigned to."

"Case, we're getting a case already?" It surprised Sergeant Zhan that they had to start on something so soon.

"This isn't a vacation, you're here to work."

"Understood Sir." Seo and the other two stood and bowed.

"Now that finally managed to drag your asses in here, it's time for some good Ramen, let's go, my treat! If we're late there will be no room left!"

The men looked at each other confused at the sudden change in Sanada's demeanor.
