I changed the title because I don't want this to be a too gory and mature story and well, to be pg13 so please don't judge me for this. Anyways, there will be no gore and triggers in this chapter.

Aaron's POV

"Aaron! I can't believe we're going to the elf kingdom today for our mission!" Yako yelled, excited as she ran into my room and jumped onto my bed.

"Yea yea yea. Now get off! I need to get ready for the mission!" I pushed Yako off and Yako pouted like a kid.

"Meanie!" Yako yelled and I chuckled good-naturally as I changed my clothes.

All I thought was that after the mission everything was going to be fine, but I never knew things would go downhill from here.

"Lucas!" I yelled but saw the gun pointed at the shopkeeper, Lucas's head and I slowly tried to step away from Lucas but every time I did, I heard the unmistakable click of a trigger almost being pulled. 

"Aaron! Just run! Don't care about me, just run!" I shook my head and the assailant laughed.

"Aaron, Aaron, Aaron. Always the weak one when it comes to your friends and people who are close to you, doesn't it?" The assailant stood in front of me and point the handgun closer to Lucas's head. " Tell me, where is the Pendant of Light?" I stood at the same place, feet rooted to the ground and I started choking up in fear. The assailant smirked and placed the mouth of the handgun closer to Lucas's head and I yelled out in fear.

"STOP! I-I'll tell you where the Pendant of Light is." The assailant smirked and placed the gun down.

"Where is it? If you lie," The assailant pointed the handgun at Lucas again. "I'll kill him. If you did not then I'll let him go." 

But I didn't know anything. I didn't even know about the Pendant of Light and what was it.

"I don't know." The assailant pointed the handgun and I yelped. "It is true! I swear to the gods above that I don't know about the Pendant of Light!" The assailant lowered the handgun but as fast as lightning, he suddenly lifted the handgun and shot Lucas in the head. I stared in fascination and deep horror at what he had done as time slowed down around me and the only sound that I could hear and was ringing in my ear is the sound of the gunshot. Trembling, my whole body sank to the ground, horrified at what my decision had come to.

"I-I thought y-you-you're gonna let Lucas go....." The assailant smirked and then laughed a full evil laugh.

"I did say that but," He suddenly peered down at my face. "I lied. In this business, there is no truth, only lies." I screamed in deep emotional pain as tears cascaded down my face, and rushed towards the assailant, trying to hit him but he had faded into thin air.

Oh, why did this always happen to me?

"Aaron....." The others said but I took a deep breath and took Lucas's body in my arms, trying hard to stay strong.

"Come on guys, let's go. I need to go to Lucas's house to visit his family." I stood up with trembling knees and started walking. The others glanced at each other before following, knowing that I was walking on shaky knees towards Lucas's house.

I couldn't even say anything, not even a goodbye. But, I know I'll meet you in heaven when the time is right. Goodbye and thanks for everything, Lucas.

Hey guys, this is the final and the very final teaser for Chapter 2: The Second mission and you can see from this teaser, Aaron was really angry that bad things keep on happening around him but in the third chapter, things are going to get a lot worse and Aaron had to endure it and start to think whether the life and identity he made for himself is true or fake and what is his real identity. Oops, did I spoil the plot for the next few chapters? I think I did oh no! Anyways, see you guys in chapter 2 and before I forget, please, and I mean PLEASE, help me to promote this book to others. I hope that more people could read my books as I did my very best to write the plot, the whole plot for real this time and it is not as bad as the previous version of the same book because this has more depth than the previous version. Also, the promise that I had told all of you guys before this teaser, I am itching to write it and publish it on this book and in short story trove. Also, I am going to start a ko-fi membership thing just like patron and, the full version for the AUs for my characters will be on ko-fi so it differs for each membership though but, I need a higher number of reads and votes for me to do this so please help me to promote this book.
