I woke up and sat up on my bed as a yawn escaped from my mouth. I stretched my back and looked around. Everything was just as before but a sweet scent of coffee lingered in the air. I looked at my bedside desk and my coffee mug was there, hot and ready to be served.

I took it and sipped on it as my mind flashed the previous night before my eyes. I looked down at myself and found I was in my violet night gown. I was certain that I was in my very, very, very revealing dress.

I got up and slammed the door open as I shouted, "Who changed my clothes?!"

As my eyes fell on Callahan, I saw he was in his trousers with no shirt to cover his beautifully crafted muscles. His back muscles clenched as he turned around and gave me a sweet smile, "Good morning, sweetheart. Did you sleep well?"

"Don't avoid my question!" I growled and pointed at my nightgown, "Who changed my clothes?"

His eyes washed over me as he answered, "That would be me. You're welcome."

And he resumed making the breakfast while it made me furious and shy at the same time.

"Wha- how dare you change my clothes while I am sleeping?" I asked, disbelief portrayed in my voice.

"You don't expect to change your clothes by yourself while you are asleep, do you?"

I grinded my teeth and I wanted to throw some of my utensils on him.

"And I will catch it." He said.

"Stop. Reading. My. Mind." I hissed each word with effort but knew he wouldn't listen.

"That's not the point! I am a woman! And a man should not take advantage of a woman who is unconscious!" I shouted as he turned around and smirked.

"You think I can't take advantage of you while you are awake?" His eyes sharpened as he added, "I can make you do things you would never want to do, Carson." His voice confirmed he could do it and it made me shiver.

"That's unfair..." I mumbled as he smiled, the darkness in his eyes vanished as he added, "I am a Devil, of course, I will always be unfair."

I grumbled more as he smiled and placed the dishes on the kitchen counter. He put his hands on it to support his body and said, "Let's dig up."

I slowly stood up and went there cautiously as I took the chair. I sat and looked at the plate. It was bread, egg and salads with juice. Normal breakfast. I had expected to have a new one just like yesterday.

There was a ping in my phone and I was about to go to my room but Callahan opened his phone which somehow looked the same model as mine. "Hmm... Interesting." He said as I raised my brow.

"What?"

He gave the cellphone to me and I had no idea it was mine until I saw the wallpaper of Itachi Uchiha. What was he doing with my phone? But I thought I had the phone in my room.

"Does your boss send you good morning messages to you often?" He asked.

"No?"

"Hmm... Apparently, he sent one today."

I opened my messages and saw indeed, Mr. Anderson had sent me a message. He had never sent me any messages other than to ask for important documents while coming to the office.

I read it multiple times to see if it was a mistakenly delivered message to greet good morning but no. It was for me as he started the message with 'Good Morning, Carson'. What was wrong with him?

"He must be thinking now to make a move on you?" Callahan smirked but I only gave him a scowl.

Dating with my boss was out of the question as I liked to separate my personal life with the professional one. Besides, I never saw Devis in that kind of way. He was good looking, hard working and a womanizer. So no! Never.

"I see." Callahan nodded and I was sure he just read my mind. "Why don't I drive you to your office today?"

I raised a brow as I chewed on my breakfast. "Why?"

"Why not? It is my way to get your apology from yesterday." He smiled. A gentle and warm smile which could melt anyone's heart but I knew better. It was that kind of smile which screamed dangerous motives behind them. I narrowed my gaze at him as he said, "I am not planning anything this time."

I nodded, still unable to believe him. "You sure, you don't have any kind of devious plans of yours?"

"Of course!"

I gave him a look as his smile stayed on his lips and he said, "You don't trust me and that wounded me."

"Unnhuhh?"

"Alright! Get ready I will be back by 9." He said and took his shirt from the couch and vanished into the air in a blink.

I didn't know why but I was having chills at the thought of him driving me to my office. He was a devil and I could never trust him.

*****

I wore my normal formal clothes. Knee length pencil skirt, shirt and a coat the same color as my skirt. Formal heels and my hair tied into a horse tail. I took my bag and placed the files that would be needed for today's conference. I needed to re-check them once I reached my table and probably memorize them a little to have confidence in myself.

I was never confident but the way I presented myself, others thought I was. In reality, I was a scardy cat and often found myself tumbling on my words when a mere number of the audience looked at me. But today, I could not afford to lose the contract for our next project.

I was taking every detail, and my pen drive when I heard a honk. I went near the window and saw Callahan was in his new car, Mercedes. It was white and gave a radiant look under the sun. It was 9 already?

I looked at my clock and indeed it was. I hurried and grabbed my bag and apartment keys.

As I was sitting in his car, I asked, "Is this your car or you stole it?"

"It is mine when I am driving." He said as the engine started.

"Why do you always come with different cars each time?"

"I see people judge you with the get up you show them. So, why not show them that I can get anything I want even though I don't need to sweat a day."

"So, it's not your car?"

"It is." He looked at me and said, "Money is just a piece of shit that you humans created. I don't even have use for it and nor does hell need it. So if I want something I eventually get it."

"By manipulating?"

He scoffed. "No. By giving them the piece of paper. They just love it and I can create as much as I want. It is fascinating how you people can be dominated by that small piece of paper. I don't even need to use my powers."

Well, he was right though. Money was the ultimate thing that dominated the whole world. Even I was doing it as well, I answered, "But it is the only way to survive here. To eat food, you need money, so I don't think it is that fascinating. Besides, money is the ultimate power."

Callahan nodded, "And do you think you stand a chance against me with that power?" His smirk got wicked as if he was challenging me or he wanted me to argue with him.

I didn't know why but I felt something was definitely going on with his mind. But I was extremely cautious and answered him, "No, with a devil, we don't. But with money, I don't think most people on earth has that power. Only a few percent of the people have it."

He smiled as we reached my office. I was about to hop out when he said, "Wait."

I looked at him as he got out and came to my side to open the door for me. What was happening with him today?

He held the door for me as I went out and when I stood up, his hand held my chin and tilted up. He leaned and kissed me right in front of my office and in broad daylight. Not to mention, the pedestrians were curious that some of them even looked at our way which made me flustered.

He pulled out and said, "Hope you have a good day, Sweetheart."

I was flustered beyond anything to say him a word and stood there with a stupid awestruck face. He smirked and left as I regained my posture and turned to enter my office. But there were my colleagues and security standing with gaps in their mouths. It wasn't only me I suppose.

As I entered, people started to look my way and were often whispering amongst themselves as I set up my strong facade while trying to ignore my thundering heart.

I was nearing my table when I noticed Emily, who was glaring at me. Our tables weren't far and unfortunately, we sat across each other which made it impossible to ignore her.

I avoided her daggers which she was sending my way and tried to concentrate on my presentation I had been preparing for six months.

"You seemed to catch a really good fish." Emily said and I tilted my head and looked across the table with a dry look.

"Thanks. I think you got one for yourself as well." I said but I was surprised that I had the exact words for an outcome.

Her glares intensified as she hissed, "You ruined it. But let me tell you one thing, Carson."

She had a serious look on her face as she said, "I will make you regret everything."

I furrowed my brows and ignored her again. I had no idea how I ruined her hook up. But I didn't care so I got back to my papers when a call came to my office landline.

I took it and it was our boss, Mr. Anderson. "Yes, sir?"

"Come into my chamber, we need to discuss the presentation before we go to the conference." He said through the phone.

"Yes, sir."

I stood up and took all the papers with me as I knocked on his door.

"Come in."

I entered and saw Mr Denver was already present there. He nodded at me as his hairs fell on his face. I nodded as well and went near as Devis said to take a seat. He began, "So, the preparations of the project are done, I suppose."

"Yes, sir."

"Let me see those papers once." He said as I handed him.

He looked through everything as my heart thumped. Devis was excellent in his work as a ceo and the investors were coming today. I needed to do everything to the point while he would present it before them to sign a contract. It was a contract we all were preparing for the last six months and the investors had a good influence over the market. So, everything would have to be perfect.

I was scared if I had made any mistake but seeing Devis's face it seemed it was to the point. It ought to be since Mr Denver was also part of our group and he had done half of the presentation himself. And with a man who was in his mid middle forties such as Mr Denver, I felt at ease.

"Excellent, both of you." Devis said, which made both of us sigh in relief. "Hand me the pen drive and Mr. Denver, I want you to present the last half of the presentation to them. As you are the senior employee here, it would be influential."

Mr Denver nodded, "Yes, sir."

Davis looked at both of us and said, "You may go now and Carson, I want you to give me the pen drive."

"Yes, sir." I saw I didn't take the pen drive with me and said, "I may have forgotten it on my table. I will fetch it back to you, sir."

Devis nodded as we both went outside.

"I hope we nail it, somehow." Mr Denver said and I nodded.

"Alright, let us prepare for this." He said as we departed to our tables.

As I reached my table, I sat and a smile slowly crawled up to my lips. I took my bag and shuffled through it as my heart banged against my chest. My surroundings got blanked and cold sweat appeared on my hands because the pen drive wasn't in my bag.
