(Skull's POV)

Skull gave an enraged snarl as he wrenched himself from Angel's body and stood up, pacing around, tail lashing as he paced around his den. BreezeClan, again like always. Always so greedy and had no sense of keeping their paws to themselves. He'd let them slip away unnoticed for a couple of times, however, it was certainly getting on his nerves, how they thought that he'd let them trod over him without consequences.

As he calmed himself and neatly wrapped his tail around his paws, waiting for Venom and Death to appear with the daily report. He ran his tongue along the fangs of the skull that he wore on his head. It was surprising to him that most clan cats only judged others based on appearances, and very rarely went further than that.

He watched two pairs of eyes, one amber and one yellow, watching him intently.

"Proceed," he silkily meowed, voice full of snapping icicles.

His adopted daughter, Venom, dipped her head in gratitude and silently padded into the den, her mentor, the deputy of the Skulls of Death, trailed behind her. The Skulls, although ranking was important, kin stood higher position than any deputy held.

Skull didn't need to say anything, the glimmer across his eyes told them all.

"BreezeClan's scent was all over our border and we expect they may try to take advantage of our ignorance," Venom began.

Skull nodded, but stayed silent, waiting for them to finish their report.

Death took a step forwards, and dipped his head before adding,

"We also expect the MistClan-TorrentClan raids that are almost guaranteed to happen. MistClan may turn towards other clans as I hear TorrentClan has been strengthening their borders."

Skull stayed still and after a few silent seconds he spoke,

"Thank you for informing me. I will be keeping a close eye on both situations. You may be dismissed."

Death dipped his head and Venom gave a quick gesture with her tail and he left without a word.

Skull tilted his head as he looked at his adopted daughter.

"Did you see the blood moon last night?" Venom queried, cautiously gazing at her foster parent.

"I did. Unusual, wasn't it? We haven't had one since the death of Inferno himself," Skull replied.

A sinister silence seem to fall between the two cats and almost as if Venom didn't want to break it, spoke in a voice that was barely audible,

"As stupid and irrational as this may sound...I think the clans as we know it are going to change forever."
