Hey guys! So I've noticed there are quite some questions bubbling around on my account about Whyvaria and The Eternal Spark (I'm going to call it TES for short). Do not get me wrong, I LOVE answering every single one, but I just thought I should make a chapter where I can put some of the frequently asked questions and the answers to them, as well as a place where you can spam questions and queries to me! (But before you do, please make sure I didn't already answer it in this list :] )

If you're asking a question, make sure that it's about this applyfic itself, the lore of Whyvaria, and general questions about the workings and such of TES, or the like, and not about the story/plot. Story and plot questions shall come when I hit a certain milestone, thank you!

Thanks and enjoy!

Q: When will you start publishing parts or chapters of your books?

A: As probably the most frequently asked question about this whole trilogy, I can confidently answer as 'I'm not sure, sorry!' I have the main plot planned, I just need to go into detail about the subplots and chapters and all that kind of stuff. However, I have recently started to write plans down on paper, which always motivates me to keep going! I might make a chapter devoted to keeping you guys updated on my progress. So, all in all, not for a good few months! Apologies!

Q: Is this still open, are you still accepting forms?

A: Yes, I sure am! I probably will be accepting characters until or even a bit after I've started writing and/or publishing chapters. So you have plenty of time to submit as many characters as you can. Tag all your friends and fellow readers, give this book some shoutouts, and the writing will go even smoother :)

Q: What hybrids would be the most plausible?

A: Most likely Amephyst-South Amburn hybrids, since the two Guilds have strong relationships almost naturally by now, and the South Amburns have too much on their minds to worry about if hybrids are actually good or not. Some South Amburns would just have hybrid whelps to defy the government and monarchy. But otherwise, I bet any two friendly dragons (among crowds of angry and/or worrying dragons) would be able to have whelps together to support each other.

Q: Would there be any other royal statuses available?

A: Most of the time, probably yes, unless multiple people have already taken a realistic amount. Please always double-check with me, because certain Guilds can't have certain things. But do NOT give characters as siblings or whelps of already existing ones unless I confirmed it with you. You can make a dragon that will go out with or marry a prince(ss), or a dragon that is step-whelp to a prince(ss), or something like that. However, unless I allowed it, no true princesses or princes - no siblings or whelps of the current monarch. Anything else is allowed.

Q: How many forms can I make?

A: I mentioned this in the rules but I'll say it here just so it's fully clear: up to 3 forms, but all from different Guilds. However, if you are listed in my bio (or I mention that you are included in there but word limit...), you may submit more than that. Additionally, you may also submit more than 3 forms (or multiple in each Guild), if I clearly say to you, something like, 'I love how you wrote your previous forms! Feel free to submit more than three! :)' Under those circumstances, and those only, can you submit more than 3 forms. Thank you!

(Slightly unrelated) Q: If I'm making a custom for a dragon from your books, can I use a base?

A: As I am planning on making some Joy Ang style bases for my dragon species, yes, you can. But until I finish them, you can use Wings of Fire bases: SandWings for Amburns, RainWings for Amephysts, IceWings for Diamonders, also SandWings for Emeraldos (the sails), SkyWings for Rubins, SeaWings for Sapphires and NightWings for Quartzians (also add colours of extra features in a little box or side palette, such as frills or manes). Just be sure to clarify what Guild it is actually supposed to be.

Q: Are there humans in TES?

A: There are indeed humans on Whyvaria and in TES, yes. Dragons call them Earthlings - to indicate that they can't fly and their peculiar posture for a land creature, as well as -ling to signify their small size (in comparison to the dragons). 'Earthlings' are often simply perceived as pests, like flightless crows or large rats, so they are treated accordingly. If an earthling ever made it close to a civilisation, they would be probably killed or chased off with a fright (the latter used more so by Emeraldos), particularly if food or animals are stored nearby, since 'earthlings have been known to raid food storages'. Most earthling civilisations live on the outskirts of the Emeraldo forests and in the Quartzian mountains to avoid the more violent dragons.

Q: How tall/big are the dragons and how much do they weigh, on average?

A: Alrigty, big answer alert, heh:

Dragons on Whyvaria mostly measure height by feet and inches, and weight by (my own units) boulders and rocks.
1 boulder (bld) = 36kg = 79 lbs
1 rock (rk) = 6kg = 13 lbs
1 foot (ft) = 30.48 centimetres (cm) (~0.3 metres)
1 inch (in) = 2.54 centimetres (cm)

Average Amburn: (fully grown) 14 feet tall, 6 boulders; (whelp-adult (8 years)) 12 feet tall, 4.5 boulders
Average Amephyst: (fully grown) 12 feet tall, 4.7 boulders; (8 years) 10 feet tall, 3.5 boulders
Average Diamonder: (fully grown) 15 feet tall, 5 boulders; (8 years) 13 feet tall, 3.8 boulders
Average Emeraldo: (fully grown) 10 feet tall, 3.5 boulders; (8 years) 8 feet tall, 3.3 boulders (Emeraldos need to develop muscles and set weight very quickly so that they can get used to climbing asap)
Average Rubin: (fully grown) 18 feet tall - males, 19-20 feet tall - females, 4.5 boulders; (8 years) 15-16 feet tall - males, 17-18 feet tall females, 4 boulders
Average Sapphire: (fully grown) 10 feet tall, 6 boulders; (8 years) 8 feet tall, 5 boulders
Average Quartzian: (fully grown) (necks held up to full extent) 8 feet tall, 4.5 boulders; (8 years) 5 feet tall, 3-3.5 boulders (Quartzians grow slowly but are moderately heavy right away)

I can't think if any more FAQ's currently, so that's all for now. However, I will probably be adding more. Every time I add a question that seems really valid to everyone, I'll republish this part.

Thank you and I hope you guys are liking the content! :) Have a great day/night!

P.S. I'll be making another way of submitting forms, this time with slots and with restarted counters (so even if you've already submitted up to 3 forms previously, you can submit another 3)! So look out for that ^^
