Salve!  Hallo!

I was tagged by my friend @Blizzard-Star, this time, regarding music. Warning, my music taste is a bit bizarre.

Blizzard hat mir vierzehn Fragen gefragt, über Musik. Achtung: meine Meinungen von Musik sind ein bisschen komisch.

Top 5 favorite songs (5 Leiblingsleider):

Let's see here: (if I have to choose, these are likely to change. Ich kann mich nicht entscheiden.)

1."Sull'aria" from Le Nozze de Figaro (Marriage of Figaro. I've been in opera lately.) -Mozart

2."Or sai chi l'onore" Donna Anna's aria from Don Giovanni -Mozart

3."Der Holle Rache" and "O Zittre Nicht" The Queen's Arias from Die Zauberflüte (Magic Flute) -Mozart

4. "Into the West" from Lord of the Rings (von Der Herr der Ringe)

5.The entire Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack. (Can I do this?)

2. Most played song on Itunes:  (Meist gepieltes Leid:)

Like Blizzard, I actually don't have itunes. As for a most played song, I'd have to guess. It might be the Gateway Galaxy theme from Galaxy. I use it when I write.

(Ich habe Itunes nicht. Meine Mermutung (meist gespieltes) ist Gateway Galaxy von Super Mario Galaxy.

3. What song are you listening to now: (was hören Sie jetzt:)

https://youtu.be/gkwuH9O57MI

It's Italian: (Italienish)

Or sai chi l'onoreRapire a me volse, Chi fu il traditore Che il padre mi tolse. Vendetta ti chiedo, La chiede il tuo cor.Rammenta la piaga Del misero seno, Rimira di sangue Coperto il terreno. Se l'ira in te langueD'un giusto furor.

(due to the nature of opera, it will repeat some lines before continuing. Die Worte werden wiederholen.)

4.Last album you bought (Letztes Album das ich gekauft habe):

Actually, I doubt I ever have / ich habe nie.

5. Last gig you went to: (Keine Ahnung, wie man das auf Deutsch sagt.)

Right. I just defined gig. Does watching The Magic Flute on my television screen count?

6. What song can you not get out of your head?

Mozart's Symphony Concerto. (Symphonie Concertante)

7. What do you listen to every day: (Was höre ich jeden Tag:)

Probably/vielleicht Mozart's "Exsultate, Jubilate" a concerto aria. Here it is with one of my favorite opera singers, Edda Moser (Einer meiner liebsten Opernsängerin, Edda Moser:)

8. Last single you downloaded (Die letze Single, die ich huntergeladen habe):

"Feast of Starlight"  from  The Hobbit soundtrack. (I know, I know, it's not a single, but it has Elvish words. Does that count? In fact, I know the lyrics:)

"Hae ephadron

theri thaur

(Îmri zaiza)

am na dhû ias

fîr i ambar

A trehil i ('alad 'lân uir tri 'wilith)"

For those of you who know the story, its translation may mean something:

I go walking

beyond the forest

up into the night where

the world falls away

and the white light

of forever fills the air."

I'll leave it at that.

9. Favorite band (Lieblingsmusikgruppe):

Rush?

10. Favorite artist (Lieblingsmusikkünstler):

Maybe either Mahito Yokota (Galaxy composer/komponist) or David Wise (Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze composer)

Completely forgot: Mozart.

11.Favorite type of music (Lieblinggenre):

Not sure I have one. Maybe Classical.

12. #10 on most played songs list

Don't actually have such a list.

13. Quote your favorite song lyrics (Lieblingsleidworter/lyrics... ist das ein Wort?):

https://youtu.be/shdiTRxTJb4

"What can you see, on the horizon?

Why do the white gulls call?

Across the sea, a pale moon rises.

The ships have come to carry you home.

And all will turn to silver glass.

A light on the water, grey ships pass

into the west."

It comes from the quote in the last chapter of the book:

"End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it. ... White shores, and beyond, a far green country under a swift sunrise."

14. Do you listen to music everyday? (Höre ich Musik jeden Tag?):

Yes, when I can.

Right. That was informative. Apparently, I have Mozart in my head. Another useless piece of information: this Edda Moser, a German soprano, is well known for her performances of "Der Holle Rache." Along with Beethoven's 5th symphony and one of the Bach Brandenburg concertos, this recording was sent aboard Voyager 1 on a 'golden record'. It is the best rendition of the song I have heard.

Well, I think that's it. Now for my tags:
