F/N P.O.V

I was having an amazing dream, till I got awoken by movement on me. It was Six, moving on my chest, with a worried face. Was she having a nightmare? She was hugging me very tightly.

I looked to the clock, it was 5 AM, time to get up.

F/N:"Hey, Six, wake up."

The moment I touched her, she opened her eyes, sits on me and looks at her surroundings. She had a surprised face, and was afraid of something. She calmed herself and looked straight at me.

F/N:"Hey, everything's okay?"

Noble Six:"Yeah, yeah, just a bad dream."

We remained silent after that, not moving or saying anything. It was getting awkward, so I was gonna say something, but Six beat me to it.

Noble Six:"You know... it's kinda early in the morning, so we could lay a little bit more? Please?"

F/N:"Okay, but only a little bit."

She smiled and laid on top of me. She put her head in the crook of my neck, like yesterday. She hugged me and closed her eyes, trying to go back to sleep again. I rubbed her back softly, while thinking of what we saw yesterday.

If this it's truly an invasion, we are gonna have some rough times. I don't think we are going to rest like this for a while, so enjoy while you can, Six...

Some minutes have passed, me just looking at Six's hair while she sleeped, till Kat bursted through the door, again.

Oh cmon, it was just repaired from last time.

She then looked at us and widened her eyes. Six wakes up at the sudden noise and looked at Kat. I saw how her face changed from a surprised one, to a mocking one.

Oh no, not now, it's too early.

Noble Six:"Thanks F/N, I had a good time."

She then kissed my cheek, stands up and walks to the kitchen we had, and starts cleaning it.

Noble Six:"I thought we could use this, y'know? After what we did, I would like to have breakfast. Just. With. You~"

Kat couldn't bare the tease anymore and went to me, still laying on my bed, surprised at Six's change of personality and blushing at her kiss.

Kat:"So, you and Six, huh? Did you really just had sex before a mission? You at least used protection, right?"

F/N:"We didn-"

Noble Six: *Laughs*"That was hilarious. Don't worry, we didn't do anything. We just slept together, literally."

Kat then shighs in relief and goes to the kitchen, not amused by Six's joke, and helps her clean it.

Kat:"You didn't come to my room yesterday, so at least, let me have breakfast with you, F/N."

F/N:"Sure, no problem."

I got out of the covers and helped the girls in their cleaning. Since we were 3, we did it quite fast, so I started cooking while Six and Kat waited on a table, talking to each other.

Kat:"I think you should stop trying, I'm better at these things than you."

Noble Six:"Trying to get me out of the game by talking? Scared that i steal him away?"

The fuck are they talking about...?

Kat:"Scared? Of you? A socially awkward girl? When you are able to be out of you suit in a group of people for more than 10 seconds, then, I will be."

Noble Six:"Then why you are trying to talk it out? It's not gonna work."

Kat:"Suit yourself. But trust me on this, today you got lucky, but, in the end of the day, he will be mine."

Noble Six:"Bring it."

I was finishing our food, and I wanted to finish as quick as I could before they kill each other, so, i went back to what was i doing, and focused on the food.

Almost done.

Kat:"Watch this."

She walked towards me, not making any sound. When she was behind me, she hugs me and put her head on my shoulder, kissing my cheek.

Kat:"That smells good..."

I was blushing hard. Six didn't take this lightly, but, she got a plan.

When I finished cooking, I put our food on plates. Kat released me and went to our table, smirking, but Six smirked back. Kat raised an eyebrow, curious about what was Six planning.

NOBLE SIX P.O.V

Okay Six, you have this, it's just a simple question, nothing to worry about.

F/N got us our food. We said thanks and started eating. We were silent, no one said anything. Good, now it's my chance.

Noble Six:"Say, F/N..."

F/N:"Hmm?"

Noble Six:"Have you ever been in a relationship?"

Kat got surprised at this question, so much, she choked on her food. Heh, get fucked.

F/N looked at me, and then answered.

F/N:"Yes, once."

Noble Six:"Oh..."

F/N:"But it didn't end well."

Noble Six:"Why? What happened?"

F/N:"One word. Cheater."

Noble Six:"I see. Sorry about that."

Alright Six, go in for the kill, finish it.

Noble Six:"Soo, since you are free and all.... would you like to go on a date with me?"

Everyone stopped eating. I was looking at the floor, embarrased, Kat and F/N looking at me, the first one with a looked of hatred in her eyes, the other, I could not know.

F/N:"Sure. We could go and see what happens."

I looked at him, surprised at his answer, but happy nonetheless. I was so happy I had the biggest smile i ever had.

Noble Six:"Really? Thank you, F/N..."

We resumed eating, but I could feel Kat's gaze still on me

Suck it, bitch.

Kat:"If you are going on a date with her... you going on one with me too..."

Kat looked at F/N, a little bit embarrased.

F/N:"Okay."

Kat:"Huh? Just like that? Aren't you going with Six too?"

F/N:"Yes. I don't know you too much. If we don't count the missions, we haven't spended too much time together, so, i want to use the date to get to know you better, and, maybe, who knows..."

F/N:"Six it's an exception. I spended more time with her, so i know her a little bit more than you. She is the closest thing to a best friend that I have. That being said, once we go to that date, maybe my opinion changes and she it's the one i want to spend the rest of my life with."

Did i just get friendzoned?

Kat:"I see... okay then, I will wait."

We finished eating and F/N picks up our plates, putting them in the sink.

F/N:"Once this it's over, i'll have a date with you two, i promise. Now, let's get armored up. Today it's gonna get ugly."

We went outside and towards the armory. Kat and I entered first, and got on our armor, not saying a single word. We exited the armory and waited outside for F/N to suit up.

Eventually, F/N exits, armor on.

F/N:"Let's look around for the rest of our team."

Jun:"No need."

We looked on our left to see Jun, Emile and Jorge approaching us.

Jorge:"You didn't went to the cafeteria, were did you guys had breakfast?"

Emile:"I think i know where, right F/N?"

Kat:"You know that how?"

Emile:"I don't know, maybe the only woman in the base that burst through doors, bursting through my "neighbour" door?"

Kat looked away, embarrased at Emile's words. The rest were laughing at this.

Carter then cames, helmet off, with a straight face. I alredy knew by his face, we are getting some trouble.

Carter:"Better to pick all of your gear, Noble, we are going to war in a few hours."

Jorge:"Sir?"

Carter:"We are launching an attack at were the enemy invading force was spotted yesterday by Jun, Six and F/N. Command wants us to finish the fight as soon as posible, so get ready Noble Team.

We nodded and went into the armory again, this time, to pick our gear. I decided to pick a DMR and a magnum.

Emile:"Not playing around, huh?"

F/N:"Well, you know me."

I looked around to see that F/N has picked his DMR, like always, and a rocket launcher.

Jorge:"Heh, I'm supposed to be the heavy weapons guy kid, don't steal my spot."

F/N chuckled at Jorge's joke and exited the armory with us. We went to the building our boss give us our mission's reports with the rest of our team. Carter was alredy there, it seems he had finished talking with Command.

Carter:"Alright Noble Team, we are launching an attack at the enemies defenses. The mission is simple, destroy the enemy airship. The problem is, it's defended by a structure. The spire."

The computer Carter used for talking with command lights up, and a foto of the so called "Spire" is shown. A tall and big Covenant building.

Carter:"The Covenant it's using The Spire as a cloaking device, hiding the airship from our attacks, making it impossible to hit. Not only that, the Covenant use it to teleport their units too."

Jorge:"So, we have to blow it up."

Carter:"Affirmative. Our primary objective it's the destruction of The Spire, after that, Command will handle the rest. Still, we cannot use pelicans to go there."

The computer then shows what seems Covenant AA guns.

Carter:"Before going for The Spire, we will have to take care of their AA guns. Since we can't use pelicans, we will use warthogs. Not all of us are going for that, though."

Carter:"Noble Two, Noble Six, you will go in a warthog. Take care of the AA guns. Noble Five, Noble Seven, you will go in a different one. Assist Noble Two and Six.

Noble Six:"Sir."

Kat:"Got it."

Jorge:"Roger that, sir."

F/N:"Understood."

Carter:"Noble Three, Noble Four, you and i will support ground units as much as we can. Try not to die."

Jun:"Nah, dying it's not my style."

Emile:"Aye aye sir."

Carter:"Good. We will depart in some hours. You are dissmissed."

We then went out of the room. I can see marines running everywhere, some going into warthogs, others getting into pelicans. Everyone was getting ready.

I approached F/N, who was looking at the distance.

Noble Six:"Hey, be careful out there."

He turned his head, looking straight at me.

F/N:"I should be the one saying that. Remember, I saved you 3 times, right?"

Noble Six:"Im not the one who almost got crushed to death."

Jorge:"What? You almost died?"

Jun:"Short story, the kid got grabbed by a "Gueta", almost died."

Emile:"A what now?"

Jun:"Big ugly angry thing."

Emile:"Oh."

Kat:"That reminds me, you didn't got any injuries or anything, right? Are you okay?"

F/N:"I'm ok, really. Let's talk about something else."

???:"Hey!"

We turned around to see a familiar face. It's the marine F/N saved back on our first mission.

I haven't forgotten about that hug, you know?

Author notes:

She only has that face, she it's not wearing that armour. She wears the common marine outfit, the ones we see in Reach, at least.

Back to the story.

Lilith:"Lilith, reporting for duty sir! I have orders to assist Spartan-CP30 in their mission!"

F/N:"That would be me."

The marine looked at him and instantly blushes, remembering the time he saved her.

Jun:"Wait, isn't this the girl you saved?"

Jorge:"Oh yeah. Didn't know your girlfriend was going to come with us, F/N."

His what?

Kat:"What?!"

Lilith blushed and looked away, while F/N just sighed.

F/N:"Let's go, let's pick our warthogs. I'll drive."

Jorge and Lilith followed him, Jun and Emile went away, and Kat and I followed them, so we could grab our own warthog.

Kat:"Hey, you know that girl?"

Noble Six:"Yes. Seven saved her life in his first mission."

Kat:"Is she really his girlfriend?"

Noble Six:"No. There's no way."

Right?

F/N P.OV

F/N:"I'll drive. Jorge, get gunner. Lilith come with me."

Lilith:"Sir!"

Jorge:"Roger."

We mounted on our warthog, waiting for Carter's orders to move. Kat and Six mounted in their's, but I could still sense them looking at us, more specifically, me.

Oh cmon, it was just a joke!

Lilith:"So, what's the plan."

Jorge:"We will assist Noble Six and Two on their mission. They have to destroy some AA guns so we can have airstrike. We will be on the clock though, our infantry will not last forever."

Lilith:"Roger that boss! After that, we go home, right?"

Jorge:"You will."

Lilith:"I'm sorry, sir?"

F/N:"He means we still have another objective, but you can't go with us. You will evacuate."

Lilith:"Oh, I see. Understood."

We keep chatting for a bit, till our radios went on.

Carter:"Alright Noble Team." He appears on our right, on another warthog. He was driving, Jun on gunner and Emile next to Carter "Let's roll."

Time to stop their fucking invasion, bring it on.

F/N:"...shit" * runs away*
