Next day the dining table was decorated with a vase full of fresh roses. Candles were lit. Mimi wore a maroon saree. All the women were wearing maroon sarees with different variations and the men wore black kurtas and pyjamas. Even the small girls and boys were wearing maroon frocks and black suits.

A room with a huge statue of some dark unknown looking god with horns and sharp big teeth. The whole Roy family bowed before the statue and clasped their hands together chanting some verses under their breath with their eyes closed.

After the ritual they came outside in the dining room and sat across the long wide dining table, men sat next to each other and the women sat with their kids.

Everyone was talking and smiling complimenting how smoothly the ritual took place. Congratulating Mimi for her efforts. They all looked relaxed.

The chiefs came in with wide vessels filled with delicious different dishes. They all looked exhausted and sleep deprived due to the fact that they were preparing for the food the whole night and morning.

The dishes were served, the empty plates were filled with the fresh food and everyone tasted it shaking their heads with disbelief, they exclaimed that the food tasted delicious, praising the chef and Mimi even more. They laughed and chatted together while having their meal.

The little boy Romi was sitting next to his Mother. Not a minute passed when he took his second bite and started coughing, everyone went silent.

"How many times do I have to tell you to eat carefully?" She patted Romi's back trying to help him, Romi stood up, more violently coughing, he walked a step backward, holding his neck and collapped, falling on the ground, his eyes popped out and his face started turning red as he tried to breathe.

His mother screamed "Romi!" and rushed and kneeled down before him, shaking his body, everyone gasped, Romi kicked his legs against his floor as he gasped for air.

"He's choking!" Shruti shouted standing up, "I'm calling the ambulance!"

Romi's mother broke in tears and cried bitterly seeing his son becoming senseless after every passing moment.

The ambulance came and Romi was rushed to a nearby hospital where sadly he was declared dead the moment he arrived.

An X-ray of his body was done by the doctors which revealed he had a bone stuck in his throat that caused the blockage to his breathing due to which he died of suffocation.

A group of surgeons were assigned to do his postmortem. The nurses took his body to an operation theater and the surgeons surrounded his body. The head surgeon took a delicate surgery knife and slit Romi's thin throat and carefully took out the bone that caused his death but the moment the bone came out, seeing it the surgeons gasped with horror for it was not a thick bone that they assumed. It was rather a half chewed boiled human index finger who's half broken nail had a pink nail polish on it.
