Aphmau POV

"Welcome to the Sky Army headquarters!" Deadlox turns to us, pulling a lever. Suddenly, a staircase appears, leading all the way up in a spiral. I look up to see a big building.

"Nice. Built in the sky. One place squids can't attack us!" I exclaim, jumping on the steps. It now has stopped going up. I turn to everybody else.

"Jess... don't-" Pink starts to say but I cut her off.

"Race you guys!" I turn around and run up the stairs, Yellow running after me.

"Wait! There are traps!" Deadlox shouts. Me and Yellow ignore him while jumping and dodging all of the obstacles. Everybody is watching us in amazement. I soon reach the top, Yellow coming a second later.

"I win!" I cheer. Yellow cheers with me.

"Congrats Jess but I will win next time though!" He says before walking over to the entrance of the base. I walk over to the wall that has a switch saying 'disable traps' with a Sky Army force field around it. I reach my hand on, instantly regretting it as my hand starts to burn. What?

"Jess come loo- what happened to your hand?" Yellow asks, running up to me and taking my now burning red hand in his own. Jin flys up to the top, probably the only one who remembers they have wings.

"What's going on here?" Jin asks, running over to me as well. I point to the mini force field. A Sky Army force field is a force field that only members of the Sky Army can enter. But why did it burn me?

"Don't tell anybody about this. Please. I don't want to worry anybody on why this happened." I say sternly before holding my hand out and encasing it in a water sphere with my magic. Jin gives me a worried look before putting his hand through the force field and turning off the traps. I look at the building that is protected by the force field.

"What are we gonna do?" Yellow asks. I shrug.

"Forest adventure!" I shout. Yellow shouts it with me before we both start to run down the stairs, running past the group who just watch us. Yellow grabs Crainer while I grab Max and Ross who turns into a squirrel to sit on my shoulder. My hand is still in the water sphere but nobody notices it. We both run into the forest before stopping, sitting down under a tree.

"Why did you drag us here? We have to get to the base before nightfall." Max asks while Ross turns back into a human. I wave at him with my burned hand. The three boys gasp.

"I can't enter the base. The force field burned me as soon as I touched it. Me and Yellow decided to camp out here as well and we just dragged you along as bodyguards!" I say before taking my hand out of the water and examining it. I put my other hand over it, instantly hissing at the pain before putting it back in the water sphere.

"You guys can't tell anybody about this. Not until we can figure out what's wrong." Yellow says.

"But we need to figure out why I'm not part of the Sky Army. For now, I will stay with Sly since Asguard has a big hole in it and no light source, giving it a chance to spawn mobs." I explain to them, standing up. "You are free to join me if you want to." I say.

"You guys go. I have to stay and help unpack. I promised Ian." Crainer says. I take off my angel ring and give it to Crainer. He puts it on, thanking me.

"Tell Sky that I had some business I had to take care of. Then tell Jin in private where I really am and to teleport to me when he has more information on this matter." I inform Crainer.

"Sure man. See you when you get back." He says before flying off. I turn to Max and Ross who just grabs hold of my arm. Yellow does the same.

"Ready?" I ask. They nod. I teleport us to Sly's tower, walking straight through the door and walking into the living room to see Sly sitting down, looking at his tablet. I just walk over and stand behind him.

"What about this? Would this be a nice gift?" He mumbles, looking at a bracelet with the name 'Kala' on it.

"It looks nice but too original. You are a superhero after all and she isn't a girly girl." I say, making him scream like a girl. I laugh.

"Jess. What are you doing here!" He shouts, turning around to face me. I jump over the couch, sitting down next to him before taking the tablet off of his lap and into mine. I start to type with my left hand since my right one is in water.

"I need a place to stay. As you can see, my hand is in a sphere of water. The Sky army's force field isn't accepting me. It basically burned the skin off of my hand." I explain before bringing up what I was searching for. "Kala will love these. Just give them your own touch." I say showing him the tablet. He sweat drops.

"Claw sharpeners? Knifes? Really Jess?" He sighs before looking at my hand, gently taking it out of the water sphere. It's red and full of splinters. The force field is meant to burn the squids to a crisp. Not my hand.

"That looks bad." Yellow says, sitting down next to me. I shrug. Sly holds the button on his intercom.

"I need some burn cream and a first aid kit stat." Is all he says. I make the water disappear. A minute later, a person walks in with what he asked for. He gets straight to work. "So what have I missed?"
