Third Person POV 

???: My sources said you were alive, but I never believed...It's very good to see you. 
An asari woman said before turning towards a window, watching the cars drive by as the residents talked amongst themselves. 

Shepard: You have sources now Liara? 
She asked as she slowly crossed her arms. 

Liara: A few. Sources, contacts, even a little hired muscle. I've been working as an information broker. It's paid the bills since you...well for the past two years. And now you're back, gunning for the Collectors with Cereberus. 
She said, turning towards Shepard before sitting down in her chair. 

Shepard: If you know that, then you know I could use your help. 

Liara: I can't Shepard. I'm sorry. I have commitments here. Things I need to take care of. 

Shepard: What kind of things do you need to take care of? Are you in trouble? 
She asked as Liara stood up once more. 

Liara: No, no trouble. But it's been along two years. I had things to do while you were wrong. I have debts to repay. Listen, if you want to help, I need someone with hacking expertise, someone I can trust. 
She said before sitting back down in her chair. 

Liara: If you could disable security at key points around Illium, you could get me information I need. That would help me a great deal. 

Shepard: What's this all about, Liara? Can't you just talk to me? 

Liara: Don't you think I want to, Shepard? This isn't because I don't trust you. This is Illium. Anything I say is probably being recorded. 

Shepard: If it helps you, I'll take care of it. 

Liara: Whe nyou hack one, a server will open somewhere nearby for a short time. You can download data from there, if you hurry. 
She said as Shepard stood up before walking out of the room with her crew. 

To Y/N 

Y/N stood in the observation deck as he looked out the window. Watching as the residents fly by as the ray of sunlight flooded into the room. 

Ghost: Beautiful city isn't it guardian? 
It asked as Y/N remained silent. 

Ghost: Guardian? 
It asked as Y/N looked at the city, remaining silent. 

Flas

THUD 

Y/N: Anna! 

He yelled as he ran through an empty corridor. 

Y/N: Anna! Cayde! Anyone? Is there anyone out there? 
He called out as he ran through the corridor. 

THUD 

???: Oh hey guardian. Thought you were dead. 
A robotic said before shooting another guardian at the head. 

Y/N: Cayde! Thought you were-

Cayde: Dead? Not yet. Go find the others. Get everyone out to fight.  Get the civillians to the bunkers. 
He orders before dropping a cylinder to the ground. 

Y/N: What about you? 
He asked as Cayde turned towards him. 

Cayde: Me? I've got to meet up with Ikora and Zavala. 

Flashback Ends 

Ghost: Guardian? Are you alright? 
It asked as Y/N continued to look out the window. 

Y/N: I'm fine. 

Ghost: Your vitals say otherwise....It says...anger... sadness... guilt... 

Y/N: What do you think. 
He said with hints of anger. 

Ghost: Guardian... 

Y/N: Ghost. We're the only ones left. Everyone we knew then are now dead or apart of...them. 
He growls angrily as he clenches his fists. 

Flashback 

THUD

Y/N ran through a closing door with a hand cannon in hand, hearing nothing but bullets flying around him.

Y/N: Anna!
He yelled as he continued to run down the hall.

Y/N: Anna, where are you!
He called out for her as he continued to run down the hall.

THUD

The guardian quickly turned around to see another but with a purple aura around him.

Y/N: Anna!
He yelled out once more as the guardian charged at him, rushing towards him as he aimed at him.

BANG

The guardian fell to the ground as Y/N ran down the hall, hearing nothing but more thuds around him.

Y/N: Anna! Where are you!?
He yelled as he continued to run down the hall before coming into a room, seeing a woman in white armor standing in front of a large monitor.

Y/N: Anna. We got to go.
He told her as she remained at the monitor, typing.

Y/N: Did you not hear me. We got to go!
He told her as he placed his hand on her shoulder, his eyes widening before being punched. 

Y/N: N-Not you too. 
He thought to himself as he slowly looked up at her, seeing her blue eyes stare down at him. 

Anna: It's inevitable Y/N. We can't fight them. We must let them all in. 
She said as Y/N looked at her with anger. 

Y/N: Let the reapers come in and take everything from us? 
He growls angrily as electricity flared around his armor before feeling a cold blade against his throat. 

Anna: Yes Y/N. We must let them. That way, some of us can survive. 
She said blankly as Y/N growled. 

Anna: Better than all of us to die here and today. 

Y/N: By serving the reapers? 

Anna: A better alternative. 
She said as she pressed the knife against his throat.

Anna: Join me Y/N and we can see to that our race survives. 

Flashback Ends 

Somewhere Else 

???: There they are. The Dantius Towers. You'll have to get up the second tower and cross the bridge to the penthouse. 
An arian woman said as she looked at Shepard. 

Asari Woman: Her mercs will fight you every step, but it's your best chance.

Shepard: We'll probably find him before it goes that far. 
She replied. 

Asari Woman: Hopefully. At least you'll know where he's headed. 

Shepard: Alright, take us in. Let's pick up our assassin.
