Itsuki (POV)
Old lady- You remind me of the old slug queen Tsunade. Isn't it strange you turning up in our village like this?
Sakura- Well, after all, Lady Tsunade is my teacher. And it was by her order that I personally came here.
Timeskip
We received a message from Tsunade via carrier bird.
Naruto- Is it from grandma Tsunade? What's it say?
Kakashi- She says that Team Guy is on it's way here to back us up.
Itsuki- More reinforcements eh? I guess when going up against the Akatsuki, you need all the allies you can get.
Reo- Indeed.
Naruto- I can't wait to see how much they've all changed.
Itsuki- Yeah especially Lee and Neji. Neji is a higher rank than I since he's a Jounin.
Naruto- Well there's no sense in waiting for them to catch up. Let's go after the Akatsuki right now!
He takes off down the hall but we just look on in confusion.
Reo- I mean yeah Naruto but which way are you going? Do you even know where they are located hmm?
This brings him to a halt.
Naruto-Uh......no.
We started asking around to gather information on the Akatsuki unit that kidnapped Gaara. It turns out kanji went after them alone and that's how he ended up almost dying here. Lord Baki sent a tracking unit after the Akatsuki as well but has yet to hear from them. It also appears that one of the sand's advisors, Captain Yura has gone missing as well. So in other words, they've completely lost track of the Akatsuki. After going around gathering info, we receive word that Kankuro is awake. We rush to his room to see him. Temari is already by his side.
Temari- Kankuro can you hear me? Are you alright?
Kankuro- Temari....you're back already.
Temari- U heard the village was in trouble.
Kankuro- I'm sorry to be such a bother.
Temari- Shut up. Don't be ridiculous.
Kakashi- Cab you lead me to where Kankuro's fight with the Akatsuki took place? I'm known for having a pretty good nose for tracking. If even the slightest trace of their scent remains on the scene.
Reo- I'll come too.
Kankuro- There's no need for that.
Kankuro struggles to sit up.

Kankuro- Where are my puppets? I assume that my puppets were recovered right?
They bring out one of Kankuro's puppets, the crow.
Kankuro- One fought with me while the other carried Gaara away. You might be able to follow Gaara's scent. But you can definitely track the one I fought. I made sure of it. You see, I got his scent right here.
In one of the Crow's hands is a piece of clothing.
Kankuro- The last thing I did was make sure I got a scrap of his clothing.
Reo- Fighting until the bitter end. Just what I'd expect from a shinobi if the Sand.
Kankuro clutches his side and stares at both Naruto and I.
Temari- Yes, they came all the way from the Leaf Village to help us.
Kankuro- Is that Naruto Uzumaki and Itsuki Uchiha?
Naruto- Hey there.
Itsuki- Sup old buddy.
Kankuro-........I see.
Kakashi- Summoning Jutsu.
Kakashi summons his pack of hounds led by Pankun.

Pankun- At your service. Eight ninja hounds.
Itsuki- Long time no see Pankun.
Pankun- Is that you Itsuki?
Itsuki- Yep. You haven't changed a bit old friend.
Pankun- You have just a little bit.
Kakashi- Alrighty let's skip the reunion. I need you guys to get on this right away.
Pankun- Huh?
All the dogs sniff the fabric.
Kakashi- Find out which way he went ok?
Pankun- We'll let you know when we find something.
With that, all the dogs scatter.
Naruto- They won't let us down.
Kaito- Let's hope not.
Naruto- Ok, we move out as soon as Pankun and his posse get back. So I say we start getting ready.
Itsuki- Sounds like a plan to me.
KR- Not so fast you two.
The old lady and old man step in.
Old lady- Kankuro.
Kankuro- Lady Chiyo and Lord Abizo, you're here?
Chiyo- There's something we must know and only you can tell us. Am I correct in thinking that one of your opponents, the one you fought with, was Sasori?
Kankuro-........
Abizo- Well speak your Kankuro.
Kankuro- Yes. Sasori of the red sand. He told me so himself.
Kakashi- Sasori of the red sand huh?
Reo- You know something about these Akatsuki don't you?
Kakashi- Please tell us.
