Itsuki (POV)
We've made it out of the desert and are now jumping from tree to tree in the forest.
Sakura- Naruto, Itsuki, can I ask you two a question?
Itsuki- I don't know. Can you?
Sakura- Ugh. May I ask you two a question?
Naruto- Ask away.
Sakura- How long do you think the Akatsuki have been after you two?
Naruto-.............I don't know.
Itsuki- It's kinda hard to say.
Kakashi- Four Akatsuki members cave to the Leaf looking for Naruto and Itsuki once.
Reo- Yet it's been three years since that day and there hasn't been any sign of them.
Kakashi- But now they're back.
Kaito- But why take so long to make a move?
Kakashi- It could be that they wanted to do it before this but some reason couldn't.
Reo- Kyoko did appear by Itsuki's side after his fight at the Final Valley. She could've been easily nabbed him but didn't.
Kakashi- Probably because Master Gin was en route and the reason why they didn't attack during Naruto's and Itsuki's training was probably because of the close proximity of Master Jiraiya and Master Gin. They promise didn't want to face them.
Kaito- That makes sense.
Chiyo-...........That's not it. From what I've learned, there was an entirely different reason they had to wait this long.
Itsuki- And what reason would that be?
Chiyo- If you're going to try and draw out a tailed beast that dwells within, a great deal of preparation is involved. They just needed some more time.
Kaito- What are you talking about?
Sakura- What tailed beast?
Chiyo- My my. You're a student of that old slug queen Tsunade and you don't even know that, when the Leaf is host to the nine tailed fox and now the seventeen tailed two headed wolf?
Kakashi- The nine tailed fox spirit is not something we talk about it's considered top secret. And we don't talk about the seventeen tailed two headed wolf because we hardly know anything about it.
Chiyo- Really? Well not surprising I guess. Tailed beasts are demon spirits with one or more tails. The sand had a single tailed beast since long ago. That's the Shikaku sealed within Gaara.
Sakura- So then there more of these demon spirits?
Chiyo- Oh yes. There are a total of nine of them in the world. Or there were until the seventeen tails decided to make their presence known. Each beast has distinct characteristics, and each with a different number of tails. The demon beast of the sand, with it's single tail, a two tailed spirit, three tailed, and so on, all the way up to the nine tailed fox of the Leaf. And I guess add on the seventeen tails of the Leaf. There is nothing after nine except for the seventeen tails now. The beasts are huge concentrations of chakra. And during the Great War, every nation competed for control of them for military purposes. They fought relentlessly over them. But the tails beasts' power was far beyond human imagining. No one could control them. I don't know the intentions of the Akatsuki, but that kind of power is far too dangerous for anyone to get ahold of. Eventually with the coming of peace, the tailed beasts were forgotten. But nevertheless, they still exist, all nine of them. Excuse me, ten of them now. All scattered around the world.
Itsuki- Wow. Thanks for the history lesson Lady Chiyo.
Chiyo- Mmmmm.
Meanwhile
Kyoko (POV)
We're still doing the ritual and the eyes of the Gedo Statue is starting to open.
Zetsu (spectral)- Our location has been discovered. The enemy approaches.
Deidara- Which enemy is that?
Zetsu (spectral)- A very skilled and dangerous one. His name is Might Guy.
Pain (spectral)- Might Guy? Who is he?
Itachi (spectral)- An elite Leaf Shinobi, a master of taijutsu.
Kyoko (spectral)- We ran into him a few years back. He's good. Very good. Don't underestimate him.
Kisame (spectral)- Ah that strange beast again.
Pain (spectral)- We'll use that Jutsu against him.
Hidan (spectral)- I'll go. Let me take care of him. It'll give me a chance to make up for failing to find a Jinchūriki host.
Fudo (spectral)- Perhaps I should accompany him.
Kisame (spectral)- No leave him to me. You see, I know him. I have a personal score to settle with him.
Pain (spectral)- Yes, as you have the most chakra of any of the Akatsuki, you're probably the most suitable to employ that Jutsu.
Kyoko (spectral)- Very well Kisame. But we'll still require thirty percent of your power here.
Kisame- Hmph. Well well. I've been waiting to pay him back for that kick he gave me. Hehehe.
