Itsuki (POV)
We heard a loud explosion not far off.
Sakura- Whoa.
Itsuki- The Hell was that?
Pankun- Tripwire traps. They're certainly not making Sasuke and Akari's job any easier for them.
Sakura- You think they might've been-
Kaito- Nah.
Naruto- I wouldn't worry about them. It'll take a lot more to get rid of them. They'll be fine.
Itsuki- Well said. Let's keep moving.
Akari (POV)
Sasuke and I have finally caught up to them.
Sasuke- We've finally caught you. Did you really think we'd let you get away?
Akari- You were never gonna get away but you did put up a hell of a chase.
Kankurō- Oh geez.
Temari- Well if it isn't Sasuke Uchiha and Akari Yashagorō.
Sasuke- This is as far as you guys go.
Kankurō- So what're gonna do Huh?
Temari- (leaps in the air) Go Kankurō. Get Gaara away from here.
She throws kunai at us but we easily dodge it by tilting our heads. She lands on the tree across from us.
Temari- I'll take care of this one.
Kankurō- You're kidding right? Don't be a fool Temari. They're too much to handle by yourself plus it's two against one.
Temari- Don't argue. Our mission is to make sure Gaara is safe. He's our first and only priority. Don't worry about me. I've always wanted to test myself against these two. It's what I've been waiting for. Get going Kankurō.
Kankurō- Fine.
He begins to take off with the unconscious Gaara.
AS- Oh no you don't!
We throw kunai but they miss and lodge in a tree.
Sasuke- Damn.
We go after them but we're stopped by Temari as she uses her fan to blow us back.
Akari *mind*- Do I use the Rasengan to try and take her out quickly? I mean it didn't work on Itsuki but that was because of his tailed beast chakra. On any other person it would work and Temari is nowhere near as powerful as Itsuki. So I guess why the hell not?
Sasuke and Temari take off into the air and Sasuke throws some shuriken. Temari blows them away with her fan and lands in another branch.
Temari- Wind Scythe Jutsu!!
She unleashes wind from her fan and Sasuke get out the way as the wind cut the tree in two.
Akari- Fire Style: Fire Stream Jutsu.
I breath in and blow out fire from my mouth.
Temari- Is that the best you can do?! Sand Storm Jutsu!
Another wind gets let loose from her fan. My fire gets pushed back easily.
Akari- Uh oh.
I stop and quickly hide behind a tree. Once the wind stops, I get back into Temari's view same as Sasuke.
Akari *mind*- Guess It can't be helped.
Sasuke- Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!
Akari- Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!
Sasuke fires off small flames from his mouth whereas I send a decent sized gust of wind at Temari. She folds her fan up and leaps down to the ground before she could get hit.
Sasuke- Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!
He sends a fireball do Temari and and it hits.
Sasuke- Did I get her?
Akari- You might have. I'm not so sure.
Temari- Wind Scythe Jutsu!
She dispels the flames with her fan and sends another gust of wind at us. We backflip off the branch we're on and land on the one below. Once we land, we slip off due to the sand from a minute earlier.
Akari *mind*- Shit!
Temari- You're mine!
She leaps up to us as we're falling down.
Temari- All mine.
She throws six kunai and three land in each of us. One hit my head and we land on the ground motionless.
Temari (POV)
I land on the ground and walk over to the bodies.
Temari- Hah.
Sasuke's body poofs into a log and Akari's body melts into snakes.
Temari- What the?! A substitution?! And what the hell just happened to her?! There was a letter bomb that I didn't notice until it was too late.
Temari- Oh no!
The bomb explodes and I'm sent flying. I bounce off the ground once and I cough up blood.
???- You're finished!
It was Akari and she was on another branch with two snakes coming at me from her left arm. They get me in the neck and smash me into the ground.
Akari (POV)
Sasuke appears next to me and Temari lifts her head a little.
Sasuke- Gotta run. We've wasted way too much time on you already.
Akari- Bye now.
We leap away to give chase again while leaving Temari where she sat.
Akari *mind*- I'm stopping Gaara one way or another. I will not let him kill Itsuki.
