Itsuki (POV)
Shikamaru- But choji.....
Naruto- What the heck are you talking about?! This isn't the kind of guy you can take in your own.
Choji- He's mine I said.
Naruto- Yeah but Choji, you're......
Choji reaches into his back pocket and takes out a pouch.
Choji- Shikamaru, take these food pills for everyone.
Shikamaru- Choji, you're not gonna......
Choji- Uh huh. Don't worry. I've got my secret weapon with me.
Shikamaru- Yeah but Choji this is......
Jirobo- Oh this is priceless. You think I'm going to wait forever?
Naruto- Heads up!
Jirobo- Enough of this! I'm taking you all out right here!
Choji- Get going. Hurry!
He takes out a case of three pills and opens the green one and eats it.
Jirobo- Get outta my way you joke!
Choji planted his feet into the ground and centered his weight. The big guy ran right into Choji but he stopped the big guy with little effort.
Choji- Shikamaru, Itsuki, take everyone and get out of here. What did the seven of us join together for? If we lose Sasuke and Akari, we'll be just what this guy says we are. Stupid idiots as leaders and their band of rejects.
Itsuki- (sigh) Catch up with us when you're done kicking this dude's ass.
Choji- Yeah. Get out of here! Go already!
Shikamaru- All right, let's move you guys.
Itsuki- Yeah double time.
KNNK- Right!
We leap back into the trees and continue our chase of Sasuke and Akari.
Timeskip
Shikamaru breaks out the pouch.
Shikamaru- A parting gift from Choji. Everyone eat up as we continue.
We do exactly as he says and we continue in silence until Akamaru whimpers.
Kiba- Yeah I know. I was just thinking the same way myself.
Kaito- What'd he say?
Kiba- You know how Akamaru can tell an enemy's strength just by his scent right? He's pretty worried that Choji might not be able to take on that gargantuan alone with just those pills to help him.
Neji- He's right to be. If we're looking at it objectively, that giant's ability is ab unknown. The chances of Choji of beating him may be close to zero. However, that's very often the case in battle.
Shikamaru- Neji is right. We knew from the beginning this mission wouldn't child's play. It's life or death.
Naruto- Yeah but shikamaru....
Itsuki- Naruto, we've already come up with the worse case scenario where each of us ends up fighting alone. And at this point, if we're not ready to lay down our lives for this, we might not be able to reach Sasuke and Akari in time. Choji is good enough to hold his own but I can tell from afar that he has confidence issues. He may think that he's the weakest link in this group but the truth is, in terms of strength, he's the strongest person on this team. He's got this. We keep going until we land on the ground and shikamaru takes out his kunai and starts marking a arrow in the tree trunk.
Shikamaru- It's for Choji. He'd promised us he'd catch up. Trust me, he will beat that guy. And after he does, he'll come and find us.
Kiba- Heh no doubt about it. If anyone can defeat him, it's Choji.
Kaito- You can say that again.
Shikamaru- All right everyone. Let's get Sasuke and Akari back before Choji catches up.
Naruto- Alright! Here we come!
Tayuya (POV)
We're still headed towards the border with Sasuke and Akari still in their coffins. For some odd reason, I can't get the image of that swordsman out of my head. I'm sorta blushing just thinking about him.
Tayuya *mind*- No. You're stronger than this Tayuya. He is the enemy. No matter how cute he is, you have to forget about him. He's dead. Jirobo killed him.
Sakon- Jirobo is late. He should've been here by now.
Tayuya- Well you know how enormous his appetite can be. He's probably squeezing out every last bit of chakra.
Kidomaru- Man I wish I could be in his shoes right now.
Itsuki (POV)
Akamaru barks.
Kiba- We're getting close.
Neji- That's strange. We've been moving for quite awhile and yet we haven't encountered a single trap. Well shikamaru? Itsuki? What are your assessments?
Shikamaru- It looks to me lik we've been underestimated.
Itsuki- Probably assumed that the big guy would take us all out with ease. They're cocky.
Naruto- Those idiots. They think we're so weak.
Kaito- We'll prove em wrong in no time flat.
Neji- It seems you were right about our enemy you guys and it's insulting to be underestimated like this. But stll, this could be our chance.
Itsuki- I hear ya loud and clear. Now we take em by surprise and kick their asses.
