Jimin

"VidCon? Again?"

Jimin held the phone to his ear as he lay in bed with his hair sprawled out on the pillows. Kookie and Mochi were laying next to him, and both of them had their snouts resting on his legs. Kookie took the right, and Mochi took the left. Every single pair of gray sweatpants he owned, including the ones he had on, had slobber stains on them from his dogs' obsession with his legs.

"It'll be good to meet up with fans," his manager, Kim, said from the other side of the line.

He had hired a manager following his viral kid-ification video, but it was mostly out of formality than anything else. Kim was nice enough. She was a sweet forty-something year old who did her best to keep him on top of things. Best part? They never had to meet in-person. In fact, she lived in Canada, so there was no point trying. Jimin had a passport, but that didn't mean he wanted to use it. Traveling was fun but exhausting, and the last thing Jimin wanted to do was tire out his pretty legs that his dogs adored so much.

"I love meeting with fans, but maybe not at VidCon? Can't we arrange a meet-and-greet elsewhere?"

"You can do that too, but sir, I suggest at least trying VidCon."

It wasn't that VidCon was bad or anything, but Jimin had personal issues with YouTube as a corporation. They were often blatantly racist and didn't enforce the rules the same way to their golden children, like SSSniperwolf. Somehow, Sniperwolf, or Lia, was able to leak someone's address to her millions of Instagram followers and get away with it with a slap on the wrist. After making a clearly AI-written apology, she got off the hook. All because she was their golden child.

That was to say Jimin had no desire to support YouTube by going to VidCon and drawing in crowds that would buy things and therefore give YouTube money; however, Kim had a point. VidCon was one of the events fans wouldn't mind spending money on to come see him. If he did a random meet-and-greet, it'd do well, but it wouldn't give fans as much incentive to go. As much as he hated YouTube, VidCon was the perfect time to connect with more fans than any meet-and-greet could do. Besides, last year's VidCon, which Kim had convinced him to go to, wasn't that bad. That thought had him sighing and rubbing his temple.

"I'll try, but only if you handle all the promotion."

She had access to all his social media, so that was no big deal. It was safe to say she agreed without complaint, and he hung up. He went to toss his phone away, but he held onto it and pulled up Y/n's Instagram instead. The girl didn't use social media much, but her Instagram had plenty of pictures for him to admire.

She had the most gorgeous smile he fell for right off the bat. He didn't care if it made him look like a simp; he liked her. He liked her a lot. She was patient and understanding, and she teased him with just as much energy as he teased her. Beyond that, she was comforting and listened well. It felt like he could share his emotions with her without being judged, and there were few people he could say that about.

Jimin sighed and spent twenty minutes scrolling through her Instagram and pretending he wasn't creepy for doing so. By the time he was about to set his phone down, it buzzed with a phone call from Discord. As soon as he saw Y/n's username attached to the call, he yelped and jumped into a sitting position before answering it without hesitation.

"Y/n! Hi!"

She chuckled. "Missed me that much, huh?"

He stuttered for a moment before clearing his throat. "Nah, not at all. You just surprised me, that's all. I was talking to my manager about VidCon, so I wasn't expecting another phone call from anyone so soon."

Yeah, twenty minutes ago he was talking to his manager, but a little white lie never hurt anyone.

"Riiight. You're really going to VidCon?"

"Unfortunately. My manager convinced me. Not like I wanna support YouTube more than I already am with the ad revenue, but I should go and see my fans. Who told you I was going?"

"Mark said you might."

"Well, he's full of shit. I never talked to him about it." Jimin chuckled as he spoke. If Mark was bringing up Jimin going to VidCon, Jimin had a feeling he knew what Mark and Y/n's conversation was about. "Let me guess: you're going to VidCon?"

"I am now. Mark convinced me."

"Because I'm going?" He decided to be a bigger shit than normal and parrot her words back to her. "Missed me that much, huh?"

Right away, she hung up, and he laughed at the sight of her typing in their chat. All she sent was a middle finger emoji, but he found it more endearing than anything else. However, after a moment, it set in that Y/n was going to VidCon, and he was going to VidCon. Alright, Jimin could do it, he was a math genius: if Y/n was going to VidCon... and he was going to VidCon...

That meant they could meet.

Without so much as a second's hesitation, Jimin tossed his phone on the ground and didn't care if it broke or not. He leapt into a series of cartwheels, cheering and shouting about how he was going to meet Y/n. His dogs were concerned, to say the least, and when he finished his cartwheel fest, Kookie licked his hand, and Mochi snuggled against his leg. Jimin scratched behind their ears with a proud grin on his face. He could feel his dimple showing, and it crinkled his eyes.

"I'm meeting my future girlfriend, bitches!"
