...

1 day before the Lion Guard made it to the Tree of Life

It was nighttime and all the Lion Guard were asleep, except one. As the Lion Guard slept, Timothy stood a short distance from the Guard as he looked up at the night sky as he looked at the four bright stars that formed the shape of a diamond he and the Guard found while they traveled through the desert. While looking up at the night sky, Timothy had a tear fall from his right eye as he thought about his friend, whom he loved as a sister, which was Eris. He also thought about the woman who killed Eris which made his sad expression change into a glare, which was his aunt, Morgana.

"Timothy?" A familiar voice called. Timothy looked behind him and saw it was Lucy as she walked up and stood beside him. "Hey, Lucy." Timothy replied poorly. Lucy noticed the tone of Timothy's voice as she looked at him with a sad expression. "Timothy, what's wrong?" Lucy asked as Timothy was a bit hesitant to reply. "N-Nothing. I'm fine." Timothy lied as he didn't want to talk about it and tried to leave, until Lucy grabbed his arm to prevent him from leaving.

"Timothy, I know when something's wrong with you. Please tell me the truth." Lucy pleaded as Timothy let out a sigh and looked at her with tearful eyes. "I think she's following me." Timothy let out with a bit of a grunt which confused Lucy. "Who? Eris?" Lucy asked with a confused expression. "No... Morgana." Timothy replied with anger until he got on his knees and started crying softly. Lucy was a bit shocked about Timothy's reply as she also knelt down to get on his eye level. "What are you talking about, Timothy?" Lucy asked, wanting to know as Timothy let out a sigh.

"I think Morgana, or at least her spirit is following me. Following us to the Tree of Life." Timothy replied more thoroughly. "What makes you say that?" Lucy asked. Timothy didn't answer as he just gave her a sad expression, which gave Lucy an idea on what made Timothy say that. "She haunted your dreams tonight. Hasn't she?" Lucy asked with a sad expression as Timothy cried softly again. "She told me that she was going to kill me, but in a form I was not gonna expect. What do you think she meant by that?" Timothy asked Lucy as he kept crying softly as she wrapped her arm around his back.

"I don't know. But what I do know is that if you defeated her once, you can do it again." Lucy replied, trying to give Timothy some faith. "But, what if... " Timothy was going to ask but Lucy put her finger on his lips to make him stop talking. "There aren't gonna be any 'what ifs.' You defeated her once, you can do it again. And this time, you are not alone." Lucy said as she motioned her head to her left, signaling Timothy to look in that direction, and in that direction was the sleeping Lion Guard, as well as Samuel and Cassandra, which caused Timothy to look back at Lucy with a smile.

"Thanks, Lucy. I'm so glad you're here on this journey with us. With me." Timothy thanked Lucy as he gave her a hug, which she returned. "No, problem. I love you." Lucy replied as she let go of the hug. "I love you, too." Timothy replied back as he and Lucy kissed each other in the lips for a second then broke it. After that, they went back to sleep until morning as them and the Lion Guard continued their journey.

But as soon as they left, the magic, dark-yellow ball, which has been following them ever since the White Spike Fortress, floated for a bit until it landed on the ground, which from the ground revealed the spirit of Timothy's aunt, Morgana! She looked in the direction her nephew and the Guard took with an evil smile. "Soon, nephew, I will free my husband, Strykore. And I will kill you. Even if I have take another creatures' soul to do it!" Morgana said with an evil laugh, then laughed maniacally as her dark-yellow aura shined really bright as her laughing echoed.
